So, I just got a bit of information on the new, diet E3. Booths are going to be much smaller, as space is very limited at the new location. A certain Santa Monica publisher(starts with an "A") and perhaps another Agoura Hill publisher will be hosting media at their own premises. We are currently settting up a date for coverage.
It seems that at least some of publishers will be taking the press out to 'wine and dine' and enjoy life outside the hanger. I don't know how much of this I will attend as it doesn't make for good television.
Anyway, we held a meetup at the last two E3's and I sort of organized one last year. (Although the DS tourney was soft of a bust) So who's going this year? I'd like to see if a meetup is possible this year. Perhaps we can all go to dinner this year.

I'm here in SaMo (actually about 5 minutes from the airport) and attended many years worth of E3, but I won't be able to get in this year, as the company I am consulting for does business software, not games. Unless you can hook me up?;) In any case, I have enough connections in the industry and outside of it to get into all the wine and dine events and private parties.
Ah well, I am actually glad it won't be like years past, especially the last few where they let in through the door every minimum wage dork and loser employee of EB Games/Gamestop, Best Buy, Target, Circuit City, Blockbuster etc. who just bothered to show up (after filling out the registration for the free pass).

Were still deciding if the main event will be worth of our time and energy. I'll let you know though...
Still the invitation stands for all... Cheapy, Wombat ViolentLee, RSA?

I'm going. I've already got my flight and hotel booked. I didn't know about the meet up last year until after the show, it would've been cool to meet some of the folks here. I'm down for a meeting afterwards. I don't know about any of the afterparties since those things get announced right before the show, so I'll probably have time.
