Maybe at $12.99? So I can sell it for money. That's about all I feel with this DOTD.

Is this any good?
Haha, sorry about the Xbox 360 thing. I just changed some of my previous DotD threads. :D

The game's actually quite fun. It's a different take of the Pokemon world and doesn't have humans as a central part of the game. The main problem is that once you finish the story...there's not really much replay value left. For $16.99, it's a steal considering it came out for $30/$35.

I'm glad I bought it at CC when it first came out, since it was only like $23 or so. Still not as good a deal as this, though.
Also, I thought there was quite a few things you could do after you beat the game. I never actually did any of the extra stuff, but I know for sure you couldn't evolve any of your Pokemon until after you beat the game, and I think there were some dungeons that weren't available until after you beat the game as well.
And if anyone's interested, there is a sequel in the works as well.

fun game worth picking up for $25 when I first bought it; at $17 a steal!!!

I'd actually like to pick this up if Gamestop wasn't uncharacteristically raping my wallet for once. Ah, I'll let them have my wallet's vagina love since it happens twice a year or so.

I disagree with everyone who said this game was good. It was the most unrewarding game I have ever played. I beat it, then sold it right away.
I wouldn't pay 17 for it.

Yeah PMD is a really awful game....don't pay anything over $10 for it, just not worth it. The game was an extremely low budget Pokemon license mania crap.
I had it when it first came out (was desperate for a DS RPG) and Nintendo e-mailed me about doing a review on the game (freshzen <3's registering stuff on N.com) and I believe my overall score was a totally honest 3/10 ;) Game has nothing going for it besides the fact IT'S POKEMON!

I picked up Red a while back, played it, thought it was alright, but wasn't blown away by it or anything. After about 10 missions, the game gets extremely boring. Traded it on Goozex about a week back. If it drops a bit more before the deal is through I might consider it, just so I can ass it to my DS collection.

If Diamond/Pearl hadn't just come out, I'd definitely be in for this. Heard it's good if you like dungeon crawling, but it was really just more of a game to tide you over until a "real" Pokemon game came.
Definitely a better deal than some of the recent DOTDs though.

Tempting, but I'll wait to see if it drops anymore as the day rolls on.

Yeah, it is definately meant to be just a side game to keep you entertained when waiting for the bigger stuff. It's an improvement over the existing Mysterious Dungeon games of Japan and is mainly just that with Pokemon added, but the story's rather pretty decent. Especially when seeing how Pokemon handle catastrophic situations without humans around. :P
I'd say this is better than Ranger. Ranger's only real redeeming point is to complete it to get access to Manaphy's Egg, which can be transfered over to Diamond or Pearl.
From what I've heard its a great game, and I have always enjoyed the Mystery dungeon games.
I was mad when I missed it for 20$ last DOTD, heck many people got it for that price. I got it with the 10$ ds headset(for D/P) to get free shipping

I'd pick this up at $9.99 in a heartbeat if it falls, but with Diamond/Pearl out, if I randomly decide I want a Pokemon game, I'd rather spend the extra money and find a deal on one of those than shell out $17 for this.

Absolutely hated this hated this game. Avoid at all costs unless you're a huge PKMN fan.

Of the side-game DS Pokemon games, I'd say this one was much better than Dash and Ranger. :P

Amazon doesn't have this in stock any more. DOTD points to J&R.

Agreed for the most part (never played Ranger), but that's not saying much. I'd put Dash in the "absolute shit" pile and Mystery Dungeon in the "mediocre crap" pile. Bad shit, decent crap, it's all smells in the end.
