The game takes place in broad daylight this time, but don’t worry, it is still a stealth action game. At the beginning of the game, Sam learns that Anna Grimsdottir (Anna is the person in charge of intelligence gathering for Third Echelon, and an old friend of Sam’s) is in danger so Sam joins up with Third Echelon once more in order to help. Unfortunately, 3E is not what it used to be, and Sam frequently gets incomplete and bad intel, as well as the wrong equipment. All this, and the 3E bosses are in the middle of a political squabble for control. Sam eventually finds out that the threat is actually coming from inside Third Echelon itself, so he leaves and basically becomes a fuigitive. Looks like Sam is on the wrong side of the law once more, this time for real.

This will deal with Sam Fischer retiring and fulfilling his life-long aspirations to be a rock star. You take his band, "Conviction" around the country staging amazing shows. X-plorer controller compatible.
All those college foreign language classes are paying off!

You read it wrong. This is about Sam looking inward and realizing his religious "convictions." he's a scientologist and you have to recruit stars by stealth.

Rock. Not religion.

you know what's weird? I know how those terms apply to Spanish, but not English, but I can't speak or write Spanish very well. that's what's weird.

Here's hoping they've executed Ubisoft Shanghai for DA and are letting the A team work on this one.
I still think Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory blows away any game with the words Metal and Gear in the title.

It's by Ubisoft Montreal, so maybe this one won't be such garbage. Perhaps we'll even get a version of the game with a decent framerate.

Hmmm...I'll see how this turns out. I liked DA, but never felt like finishing it up.

this time for real
Adding a z on to the end of real makes it so much more melodramatic.
*deep voice* "Sam Fisher is out to get the bad guys, and this time... it's for realz"
I've only played the first game and a little bit of the second but I'm still interested in the series and I might pickup Chaos Theory for the PC.
I like it how the Splinter Cell series is one of the best showcases of episodic content. I mean, they're better at it than Valve.

i'm having a really hard time getting into double agent. even the version developed by the "A" team (montreal did the x-box version, i believe) doesn't really stand up to part 3. hopefully they iron out all of the kinks for conviction. i need a worthy follow up to chaos theory, which was one of my favorite games of last gen.

I've wanted to get into SC but everytime I have with older versions of the game they are disappointing. I don't know why they keep this series going. I won't be a part of it this time.

So what "master stealth game" are you even talking about? Obviously from your 5-10 minutes (if that) of niblling at each SC game, you aren't talking about them and I can't really think of any other title. Closest I can come up with is that Tactical Espionage Series: Metal Gear Solid. But then again calling MGS a "Stealth Series" is like calling Linkin Park "Heavy Metal"

Because tons of people that aren't you actually love the series? Maybe games you don't like are still good games.

I just hope this game has online co-op. That was the best part of Splinter Cell games on the xbox.
