Um, I think singing it out loud works - gets it out of your system.

Play the song over and over until you get tired of it.

Doesn't that just make it more stuck in your head?

Replace it with another song. It doesn't always work, unless you pick a more annoying song.

It also gives you a great enlightenment, or so I have heard.

I listen to the song, then listen to another song right afterwards. It gets my mind off of that.
If you're looking for something more annoying to listen to instead of the song that you have in your head, just watch the annoying asians video on Ebaums World.

think of another song and start singing it in your head if it is a commerical jingle in particular shooting the tv always works.

Listen to the song immediately. That should do the trick... unless, of course, the song in your head happens to be a Milli Vanilli tune. There is no known cure for that.

Stick it in someone else's head. Sure they'll hate you but, hey, at least you arent humming Huey Lewis and the News anymore

Run headlong into a wall. Repeatedly. That usually works, but may result in unconsiousness.

Depends on the type of song. If it's a good song it's easy to get out of your head, just listen to it. If it's an annoying/bad song... good luck. My friend played this song from the musical episode of Buffy and it was stuck in my head for a week. WORST SONG EVER.

listening to it over and over gets it out cuz then you hear the whole song, i had to do science articles last year and one of them was about this. most of the time they get stuck in your head cuz you brain is looking for the rest of the song/music/lyrics, something like that.

Sing along with me-

You have so many relationships in this life
Only one or two will last
You're go through all the pain and strife
Then you turn your back and they're gone so fast
And they're gone so fast

Oh so hold on the ones who really care
In the end they'll be the only ones there
When you get old and start losing your hair
Can you tell me who will still care
Can you tell me who will still care, oh care

Mmmbop, ba du ba dop
Ba du bop, ba du ba dop
Ba du bop, ba du ba dop
Ba du
Mmmbop, ba du ba dop
Ba du bop, Ba du dop
Ba du bop, Ba du dop
Ba du

Plant a seed, plant a flower, plant a rose
You can plant any one of those
Keep planting to find out which one grows
It's a secret no one knows
It's a secret no one knows

In an mmmbop they're gone
In an mmmbop they're gone. In an mmmbop they're not there
In an mmmbop they're gone. In an mmmbop they're not there
In an mmmbop they're gone. In an mmmbop they're not there
In an mmmbop they're gone. In an mmmbop they're not there
Until you lose your hair. But you don't care

So hold on the ones who really care
In the end they'll be the only ones there
When you get old and start losing your hair
Can you tell me who will still care
Can you tell me who will still care, oh care

Can you tell me
No you can't 'cause you don't know
Can you tell me
You say you can but you don't know
Can you tell me which flower's going to grow
No you can't 'cause you don't know
Can you tell me if it's going to be a daisy or a rose
You say you can but you don't know
Can you tell me which flower's going to grow
No you can't 'cause you don't know
Can you tell me
You say you can but you don't know
You say you can but you don't know
Don't know oh, You don't know oh

Can you tell me
No you can't 'cause you don't know
Can you tell me
You say you can but you don't know
Can you tell me
No you can't 'cause you don't know
Can you tell me
You say you can but you don't know
