If this was January with that deal, I'd be all over it.
May? The new Madden will be out in about 3mo. NCAA likely less than that. Sure APF will be out before Sept. As a sports gamer new to 360...screw this. And I know non-sport gamers don't give two kits.
Cut the BS and just throw the DotD's in a clearance section.

If you don't have this by now, then you probably don't have any interest....or the game is still too expensive. With the new football titles, yes 2 of them coming out, I'd suggest waiting a bit longer...or pick up a copy from EB with their current deal if you really want it. There are plenty of mint or better copies of the game available across the country.

If the game was halfway decent I'd go for it....but it's not.
In fact I haven't liked any of EA's 360 football games to date, and that includes NCAA.
Both titles have lost a lot in their translation to the 360 in terms of game play. No version has really felt "right" to me :(

Wait for All-Pro Football from 2K Sports or, if it somehow turns things around drastically, Madden 08 instead of shelling out the cash for last year's turd.

the PC version had the most features but the graphics are outdated, but the 360 version has great graphics (except for the sideline...) and less features... oh yeah no refs on the field... no chain gang... no fg nets... no owner mode.. etc.

I picked this up last Sept. or Oct. during the Overstock coupon glitch for $12. I didn't even finish a season. The gameplay is just boring to me, to many deep balls.. I really miss 2K football. So I traded it in at Gamestop for $19 and put $40 down on 2K8.
I would wait until it's $10, which shouldent be far away.

Madden = bleh. :???: You only really need one every console generation and I'm waiting until they release one with all of the features, not a watered down version.

I JUST NOW bought Madden 06 at Gamestop. I bought that, NBA 2k6, and Colege Hoops 2k6 for $28 total. I would never pay more than $10 for an EA football game.

Madden '08 is crap. Cant believe I waited for the midnight release, and the game doesn't even hold it's on against current gen versions. Don't buy it, and wait for reviews on '08. Cuz you're prolly better off getting it for PS2 or original XBox than the 360.

Same. I can hold out a little longer (even though Madden '07 on the 360 is still priced around $30)...
In regards to the guy who said he was mad he payed $40 for it--- doesn't that happen with *EVERY* EA sports title? Even the good ones that come out or EA Big titles? ;-)
