I think Zombies Ate My Neighbors would make a killer XBLA game. There would be online co op, Leaderboards, Better graphics, And perhaps they could put some more weapons or levels in. Or perhaps a few easter eggs. :)
Would you buy it on XBLA? I'd buy it.
Even if it's just a port of the SNES/Genesis version, I'd buy it at 800 points. Ditto if it shows up on the Wii VC. It's one of my most-loved 16-bit era games, and the only place I've really seen it is eBay for $20.

Hell yeah I would. I can still remember the music from that game.

You'll probably see this on the Wii's Virtual Console before you'll see it on XBLA.

I'd rather see it on the XBLA just to be able to play the multiplayer online.

I think it'd be awesome on XBLA, but this title will definately hit the VC First, if not only.

Sad news for X360 from the Wiki:
Recently, Zombies Ate My Neighbors was given a rating on ESRB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESRB)'s website, which means the game will soon appear on the Wii (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii)'s Virtual Console (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Console).[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombies_Ate_My_Neighbors#_note-ZAMN_ESRB_Rating).

Konami could still put a port of the Genesis version on the 360.
Nintendo can pretty much put any old games on their VC regardless of who published the game, because they own their Nintendo versions of it. But that doesn't mean that it's exclusive. For instance, the NES version of Contra could still come out on the VC, even though it's on XBLA.

That's completely wrong. Third parties paid Nintendo license fees to release games for the platforms, Nintendo didn't take ownership of anything they weren't the developer/publisher of.
Licensing older games is one of the biggest hurdles for the Virtual Console. It's extremely unlikely you'll seen any Rare games on VC (Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie, etc) because MS owns Rare now.

They just charged Konami, et al., for the right to publish games on their system. Deals still have to be inked with the IP and game owners to get a game on the VC, just like they need to be for the XBLA.

Yea, that was definitely not the NES version of contra on XBLA. The XBLA version was terrible (I think it was the arcade version)

ZAMN has been confirmed for the Wii, but there are no talks of it coming to XBL.
