This is why I love PC gaming and editing. Someone's added Peter into a game that's kinda like Marvel vs Capcom (you may be able to find an older post I made about it in regards to Super Smash Brothers something.. use the search engine)
If anyone can find a download link, let me know.. I really want to play as him. I have the link to download him into the game, but not a download link for the game itself.

I'd pay $100 for it if Capcom would develop "CAPCOM VS. FAMILY GUY" just based on that one Mugen vid...

You can get the program itself from there. If you need characters, I found a couple of torrents that come LOADED with characters and stages but I don't know if it would be all right to post here.
PM me if you want those links instead.

Now THAT is a character selection screen.
If you have a link that has a version with all those characters, please let me know!
Damn.

What's with having 20 versions of Ryu? Are they all different, or just palette changes?

they're different. each character takes their abilities and move sets from the game they came from.

I figured it was SF2 Ryu versus OtherCapcomGame Ryu, but half of them look like the same thing. Like these "zombie" versions or something. Or evil versions. I was only half watching that 6 minute vid while Team Shmups was fighting Metroids.
I don't keep up much with 2D fighters, so I guess it doesn't really matter to me.

theres a ton of mugen sites out there to choose from. when i got mugen i mostly downloaded marvel characters, king of fighters charactes and some originals. i wish someone would make a deadpool character already but some of the super man and batman characters ou tthere are awesome. if i can find a link ill post it to where you can get a download of thor and wonderwoman which kick ass.

heres another mugen link thats good for first timers to mugen or if you want to get access to original muegn stages and characters user created type stuff. they also are pretty helpful there with any questions you might have.

Thanks to all for the links.
I've figured out how to add characters, stages, change the resolution, etc., and I can move the character select screen around, but I can't figure out how to make the boxes teeny tiny like in that video up there. I can only fit about 45 characters on the screen, the boxes take up so much space.
My characters that I have so far are Cyclops, Donatello (TMNT4), DuckHunt, Elastigirl (Incredibles), Homer Simpson, Lakitu (Mario), Leela (Futurama), Mike Tyson (from Punch Out), Mr. Incredible, Peter Griffin, "Project Nick" (Random Nickelodeon characters.. Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy), Rogue, Scorpion, Street Fighter Alpha version of Ryu, Shadow the Hedgehog, Spiderman, Sub Zero, Super Luigi, Super Mario, Trevor Belmont and ZeroX.
I'm going to end up adding so many characters...

if i remember right you can download diff sized box setups for your mugen character select list. ive got one where you can put over 100 up and the best thing about mugen is adding your own music to the stages freakin sweet stuff nothin better than kick ass to orgy or method man. btw if youre looking for any characters specifically let me know i can show you some other places to get them.

Is there a noob's guide on how one gets started on MUGEN? Like does this have to be burned to a DVD or does it run from your computer?

it runs on your computer. check out the second link in the reply i did on the first page that place is a good place to go to get started on using mugen. i use win mugen its easier for me to figure out and it works pretty well. it takes some getting used to but once you fiddle aroudn with it using mugen is a breeze and alott simpler than downloading mame games. the characters you download in rar files.

I know how to add characters and associate them with a stage ("mario, stages/PeachCastle.def), but is there a way to permanently bind a song with a stage but not a character?
For example, I know I can go (mario, stages/peachcastle.def, music=sound/song.mp3) but is there a way that I can make song.mp3 play with peachcastle if it's something like Homer vs. Peter?

If theres a onestop link for a set up package with a lot of characters, I'd download it.

yeah theres a file you edit in mugen that allows you to set diff songs for diff levels i cant think of it off hand but there is a link on youtube where the guy shows you how to do it( thats how i learned how to myself). you have to be careful when editing this file though but once you get the hang of it its a breeze.
