Do you prefer it when people do quotes then reply? Or reply, then quotes? For example...

I prefer quote, then reply. The other way doesn't make much sense to me.

If they reply before a quote, usually I don't have a clue what they're talking about, until I scroll down and see the quote.

I think Kayden is the only person I've ever seen reply then quote. It doesn't make much sense to me, I always quote then reply.
Quote, then reply. If it's the other way around, I end up having to read the reply twice, as I have no idea what's going on the first time.

I could understand it if someone does it in PMs because it is one on one and really no different than someone replying to your email. And when you reply to an email it shows the new text first and the quoted email to which you are replying second.
If someone is replying to your PM, you typically know what you PMd them about in the first place.

There is only one answer, as the second option makes no sense.
And yet, there are some people on the site who use the second option's formatting almost religiously.

Wow 81 - zippy. There are people that do things the other way so I'm surprised there aren't a few votes on the other side.
I sometimes do it the backwards way when I'm replying to a really long PM.

My biggest complaint about REPLY-QUOTE is that I often think the Quote is part of someone's sig and ignore it.
