This last one is semi fighting related. This is a good friend of mine I pretty much chilled with every day of the week last semester who "tricks". He's basically one of the top 10 in the world who do it. Alot of people he works with do motion capture for martial art stuff... just watch.

Some more info on Guilty Gear Accent Core for Wii. They are adding "Waggle" Controls. You use the nun chuck to move and guard. Both the nun chuck and Wiimote you shake to perform standard attacks. You hold buttons while shaking to perform specials. Wow sounds horrible. They are adding Classic controller support though. I'll still be importing for PS2. Thanks. It just naturally seemed like the next step in being a fighting game nerd/freak. Assuming my plans to get an Atomiswave board by the summer pan out, I still see myself going to arcades. In some weird way getting this Supergun might help curb my spending a little bit.

I'll definitely just be buying the 'cade games that never received console releases or obviously have perfect conversions on MVS, Atomiswave, etc.

The AI in this XBL port of DD is pretty cheap. Also, it doesn't seem like I can do jump kicks like I expect to. I like how the AI gets stuck in pathing if I go into a corner a certain way, too. I assume two player/online is better?

Also, I asked in the old thread by mistake, but anyone hear anything about the 360 port of KoF:MI 2.5? It supposedly comes out next month, but not so much as a screenshot. I guess that's a bad sign...

I also heard about this. I got my FF Battle Archives 1 a couple days ago, mainly for FF Spacial. I never played the Neo Geo version and it plays 100% better than the SNES version. The CPU is a pain. This is one of those games where the CPU can pull off charging moves without charging. :bomb: NOT FAIR!!!

The 3d MKs kinda fall apart if you play them too seriously anyway, so I think the game would actually benefit from some low-level remote flinging gameplay.

it was announced...as was KOF:MI360. MI has a listing at gamefaqs, but no info has been released about it. i'd assume they wouldn't release MI1 again.

Well, you're gonna have to get it cause I will. I think the game plays fine, with the exception of the second battle plain. I always thought jumping around the two plains really slowed the fights down and became very annoying. FF Special has a nice rooster and good BG music. Gameplay isn't as polished as SSFII but it's still fun.

KoF 2006 was very awesome, for anyone wondering, I definitely recommend it for some lighthearted 3D fun. It's basacially KoF in 3D with some crazy ass combos. It's got a pretty awesome mission mode too.

I wouldn't drop $50 on the import for two new characters, when 2006 will be $15 at EB / GS in a month, though, unless it's got more than just Ash + Blue Mary.

I think Death By Degrees would have been better if it used a more standard control scheme. The idea was good, but the execution was poor.

Ketsui ds, is kind of 50/50. It was recently mentioned on Mihara's site that he'd like to work on it but was unsure if he'd complete it. Although, he said it would be released by the end of 07 if they did decide to go through with it.

Cave are control freaks. If any of their games were brought to the wii, they would be playable with regular controllers and (hopefully) a stick. I don't see cave buying into the motion control bullshit. The movements are just too precise and I see nothing but frustration coming from it.

I have ff special in my 4 slot right now. One of my favorite old school fighters. FF1 and 2 are a bit "meh", but 3 is pretty solid as well.

Nobody likes their fish more fresh than Japan. They can tell by taste, trust me bro. Remember: Japan is an Island, they live off fish. I've never ate better fish than I did in Japan. And keep in mind I live in Florida where fish is plentiful

As for arcades: you NEVER sit down next to your opponnent in a reputable arcade. However you can still see them if you look over the corner. I had a couple dewbs do that to me after I beat them in VF5. And what they saw was a gaijin that beat their a$$ good.

Well, not every meal was five star. My wife's relatives did treat us to some better than average meals, but I think we ate at this one ramen shop at one of the train stations that was only mediocre. That was the only miss on our whole trip.

Even one of the kaiseki ryori dishes we had at our ryokan near Mt. Fuji with the little fish staring up at me in some clear goop--it was delicious.

Hahaha, America is terrible with food inspection. After America introduced McDonald's to Japan, the obesity rate went up. I just read Fast Food Nation. =P

For the most part I think their diet is healthy, at least if you eat right like usual. Don't just get pocky and expect a healthy meal. There's also a book called the "Okinawan diet" which is about the lifestyle of Okinawans, whom I think have the longest life expectancy.

Depends on what game you're playing, they usually post up the schedule in advance to give you an idea of what times you need to be there for each game.

MvC2 isn't BC...probably never will be since Capcom doesn't own the rights to Marvel any more. I imagine it's the same for CvS2, since Capcom and SNK's contract is up.

I'm guessing most people are using the DOA4 stick. I think there was some sort of PS2/360 pad converter mentioned on the SRK boards. Problem is I think it's 'ok" at best and retails for around $70

Yeah, I don't mind playing with people new to DOA 4 as long as they aren't a dick. Which... people on XBox Live usually are. Apparently, threatening to rape someone is "upsporting behavior."
