So it's still $10, but for how long?

I doubt it will be for long, I believe this is the *exact* same thing that happened with Phantasy Star Universe, it went down to the lowest price it was during DotD and stayed that price for a day or two.

Now we're talking--nice price.

My deal feelers are tingling. If it hits $7.99 and I can find $17 worth of filler that I want, I'll be in.

Is everyone really that hard up for a buck or two?

No, but when it's a game you don't much care if you have or not there are certainly limits to what you will spend. "Just a buck or two" more could make the difference.

If you don't care if you have it or not, why would you buy it in the first place? I am not trying to piss anyone off, but people quabble over a dollar or two difference on a game. One less cup of coffee in the morning. Oh well.

Thanks OP, ordered 1 and a book for free shipping. Great deal.

I totally agree with you... but as much as I hate it I am also one of those people. I've missed out on a couple deals that I would later regret just because I wanted it to be a bit cheaper. I bought this game on a Best Buy deal when it was released late last year but I bit on this last night so I could have a sealed copy to keep.

Tea, soda, water. All acceptable substitutes.

Here's hoping it holds out until there is a DOTD I'm interested in. I was going to pick it up when it was the DOTD but I honestly couldn't think of enough filler that wouldn't have been a total waste of money.

There's just a number that feels right at which one would feel comfortable purchasing any particular item.

As far as coffee goes, I get that for free at work. ;)

But a buck or two here and there, extrapolated from items that I feel largely indifferent to, definitely adds up. If I decided to pay the extra $2 on a game I feel I might want, over 5 games, that's $10 needlessly spent if I didn't have that set threshold in mind, and could have paid towards a game I really wanted. I feel that $8 is the sweet spot for me where I'd have no regret if I never got around to playing it and it turns into eventual trade/sale fodder.

one of those games that is barely worth $10 IMO, I agree if it was $7 i'd bite :)

Actually, Magical Starsign went back up to $27.99 last night, so I'm assuming this was intentional. In addition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (Sunday's DOTD) was still marked at $14.99 for nearly the entire day yesterday (it's back to normal price today). If Call of Duty 3 repeats this pattern, then perhaps Amazon is trying something new.

Also, Phantasy Star Universe (PS2) is still priced at $9.99.

Because I like games. There are certain games that I consider "must have" that I know I will prioritize to play. Those are the games I'll be (relatively) less discerning about price on. I also switch around a lot, and I like to have games to choose from when I feel like playing something different. I'm not that picky about these "B-list" games. As long as it looks like something that might entertain me, I'll buy it if the price is right. If it's not right, I'll wait and get something else, or get it when it does get cheaper. Either way, something will fill that role.

Some people have a price point at which they'll buy a game no matter what. Whether they want it or not. I only buy the games I really want to play, but whatevs.

I'll buy so so games at less than $10

I never buy horrible games if I can help it.

basically any game that I may or may not play that much but seems like it could be ok is worth $5-9 to me.

any game that got solid reviews and I feel like I *should* Play I will pay $10-40 for.

absolute MUST haves I will buy for full price, but its been 2 years since i paid full price for a game...

thank you CAG!

I rented it once and wasn't "wow'ed" by it. didnt like the slow text speed and stylus only interface. But for $9 I'm tempted.

For those of you complaining about wanting it for a buck or two cheaper, there's a $5 Pricegrabber rebate.

Sounds like a good classic game and seems to have gotten mostly good reviews. I did one of those PG rebate reviews a year ago. Forgot to check up on that... At $5 sounds too good to pass up.

Dang... I had clicked the page and kept it open to do stuff before I sat to do the credit card thing. Refresh and hello regular price.

I was really sorta excited about a $5 Magical Starsign too. I'd even checked out my back issues of NP to read up on it before I sat back down. Maybe it'll come back briefly again?
