most notably in Vice City, I wanna play some Appetite for Destruction but it wont work :cry:

Yes, just start the music in the dashboard before you enter the game.
It should keep playing but you won't be able to control it.

I found this out by mistake. I had music playing and started up Vice City and whenever you start up xbox games the music usually cuts out but it kept going. I didn't like it because I could hear my music and the car stereo in the game and it just didn't work. You will get music but no controls and the game's own music will not be off either so what's the point.

you can turn the in-game music off or set the car's radio off whenever you get in it and if you have the media remote im pretty sure you can skip through songs while playing an original xbox game

Ah yea I just miss the auto music off feature that is so nice with every 360 game. I play music with my PC games and have to do the same feature as well or change settings. I don't have the media remote but that's cool.
