So tempting, I have Prime so I don't have to dick around with fillers and $10 is nothing for a 360 game. I was put off by the beta though and I'm trying to minimize my purchases this generation after collecting so many unplayed, mediocre $10 and less PS2 and Xbox games last gen so I think I'll hold off.

FWIW, the achievements are all easily attainable by going through the single player mode but it'll take you around 20 hours or so to get 1000/1000.

I really enjoyed this game. It's perfect to zone out with if you want to listen to a podcast or just relax, or to play while watching a movie or something.

I think I've figured out Amazon's strategy with the DotD. Put up something that they're overstocked on for ~10-15, then make a ton more with people adding things on to get free shipping. It's genius!

No free trial, there is a demo available on Live (well there was one).

Just a warning, the nerd points are very time consuming (25 to 30 hour range). They aren't hard (the bosses in the game are a complete joke), but they will take a lot of time to finish. The whole game is basically clear the room, get the key, rinse, repeat.

Maybe there are some corners you could cut, like not doing some missions, but don't expect the 1,000 as quickly as say King Kong or TMNT.

I'd be with you dragonfly, if it wasn't the $10 a month fee to play online. This looks like a game that would be much more playable online, but I just can't bring myself to drop $10 a month on it. If they'd make it $3 a month (or $10 for 3 months) with a $10 price point, I'd probably jump.

I liked PSO, so when it's around $5 used at EB, I'll probably bite for the single player experience.

The game is basically two games in one. There's a single player campaign where you unlock all of the achievements, and the MMORPG game. Unfortunately, finishing the single player game doesn't unlock anything for a MMORPG, like a special weapon.

Are you sure? I am sure the family played with 2 wavebirds and a generic wireless gamecube controller on Mario Kart (the VC version) I know you can't save some of the ghost data.

Just received mine. Does anyone know if this game is linked to the PS2 and PC version for online play? I know the fee isn't worth paying, but I wouldn't think there'd be too many people playing online on the 360 version if the games aren't linked together..
