She met him (Fab Morvan) in LA and he's coming up here to the Bay Area to see her.

He told her some pretty crazed stories about their downfall and scandal.

Milli Vanilli was, essentially, Frank Farian (producer/songwriter), a few session vocalists, with two guys fronting the material and bringing it to life visually. So it wasn't like a 'band' or anything, but there was a collective unit of people.
That's pretty neat about your friend, coltyhuxx. Fab has really been working to build a legitimate music following for himself. I thought his latest album would see a release already (it's like a pop/R&B effort, some of it is on his MySpace, or at least it used to be, I haven't checked it in months). He's OK, not really my cup of tea, but I think it's awesome that he's tried to build something legit out of a whole wave of public negativity and nastiness.
Either way, I do own the Rob and Fab album, haha. :) The one they recorded in the post Milli Vanilli era to show what they actually WERE capable of, as vocalists and to a lesser extent as songwriters. Obviously not too impressive. Fab had a sufficient voice, though; not VERY good, but solid enough and distinct enough to where you can tell he COULD have been honed as a perfectly capable vocalist instead of just being relegated to being the 'face' of the whole act. Rob, not so much...he was pretty painful to listen to, though the German accent and manly voice made for pretty cool rap sections. But the album was probably 85% Fab's vocals.

They only sold, what, 6000 of that album? It's probably somewhat of a collector's item now. I was always curious to hear it...

Isn't it bad enough she's hooking up with a former one hit wonder, lip syncher, who's twice her age? And one half of Milli Vanili of all people!!!!!!!
