I live in a pretty decent sized city and can't get any stations below 88.7 that DO NOT have something coming in full force. I have the Belkin whatever and it seems to work fine but there is a lot of static. Is there any way to get it to go to 87.7 or 87.9 so the ipod will have nothing to fight against?

I thought I read that the griffin itrip's could do it, but I can't find one that works w/ the nano...

Thanks in advance

Virtual Reality Sound Labs MP3 WMA FM Modulator (). The MP3 WMA FM Modulator was one of the pleasant surprises of our survey. It’s an inexpensive transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter and connects to the iPod via the headphone port. Like iRocks’ i-Pod/MP3 Car DJ, the FM Modulator can play music from an attached USB key drive. It transmits to only 12 frequencies, but those frequencies fortunately include 87.7 to 88.9 and 106.7 to 107.9. If your radio can tune below 88.1, this transmitter can broadcast to it.

For such an inexpensive device the FM Modulator put out a decent signal. It nicely overpowered 107.9 and was clear on the unencumbered 87.9.

...performs really well at the 87.7 range. It's $35, and you may be able to find cheaper, but that's what I've found with a little Googling.

I have an iTrip Auto that I used to use for my 5g but now I use it with my 1g Nano. Haven't had a problem with it and it does every frequency on the dial.

This was the type I picked up from Costco a while back for $20. Worked extremely well for what it was. Might be worth a shot to check the warehouse for it. I don't use mine anymore but I keep it aorund just in case.
