I was looking for Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO (Xbox), Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions (Xbox) and the Xbox Exhibition Disc Volume 4. I did find 2 copies of Wreckless, the non-Platinum Hits versions too. But the back of the game cases had many dimple marks and scratches because the hard plastic containers the games are in have an opening in the back. So, if you live in that area and want Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions for $5, and don't mind marks and scratches on the game cases, 2 copies are waiting for you...

Oh, by the way, there are 2 versions of Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 (Xbox), that have different prices. The game that has a Circuit City Value Priced sticker on the front of the game case and a SKU sticker on the back of the game case is priced at $20. The other has no Value Priced sticker on the front of the game case and there is no SKU sticker on the back of the game case. The SKU is printed on the back game label cover. That version is priced at $5...

Dude, the prices should be for all CC stores across the nation, it isn't YMMV. The reason you can't find the price on the website is because the website has them sold out. Hope that helps.

Since we found all the prices originally from the website and then applied them to the stores, and then the website sold out of those games and the price wouldn't appear anymore except at the B&M...Do you all think we possibly are missing some games from the list because they sold out at the site before we got a chance to find them?

There are 2 versions of Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 (Xbox), that have different prices. The version that has a Circuit City Value Priced sticker on the front of the game case and a SKU sticker on the back of the game case is priced at $20...

whats clock tower 3 like? good or bad? as for murakumo i didn't remeber the name but the box art i do. i really wanted to try it out when it first lanched. but never did. so i guess i will try it now. they also had RE:0 for $20 but i thought i had enough games to play (still havn't played some from last cheap ass trip).

Edit- in there Bargin Bin (so to speak) they had Evergrace for $10 (PS2). i remeber its a older RPG. my friend had it and i watched him play it for a hour or so (a long time ago). but i didn't play. It is a good idea to bring a list. An employee who would get mad at you for having a list so that you know what you are looking for, is a messed up employee. A list will be especially useful, since most games probably will not be properly tagged, and it will save the employee from having to do countless price-checks to find out the real prices.

I don't really see how they could get mad at you. It's just your shopping list :) If you don't see a game, ask them to help, I mean they are their to help. I know there are some aceholes out there, but it doesn't hurt to try. Bring that list with you, and if you are done with your shopping, maybe even give it to someone who seems interested in buying some cheap ass games.

The new price list must be regional or just not completely accurate. I just bought NHL hitz 2003 GC for 9.99, same price for both xbox and gamecube. GC bloodrayne is still 9.99, I had it scanned. for the most part, the list is accurate except for the few $5 games. I was looking for some cheap games to tradein.

tiger woods 2003 GC is not $5, more like $15. Red Faction II PS2 is $10, not $5. They also must have changed the price on BOF:dragon quarter, it came up as $29.99, I had them entered both the actual upc and their own tag.

I could be wrong, but congrats for scoring on these deals.

Thanks for the list, but as the poster above just noted....some of the prices are inaccurate. A lot of people that contributed to that list got the $20 discount due to the CC cashier ringing them up wrong. That's makes some of those prices YMMV at best.

I was at CC today and Hitman 2 (GCN) rings up at $14.99 (not $9.99) and Super Ghouls and Ghosts (GBA) rings up at $9.99 (not $4.99). Those are 2 games which I can confirm.

To expand what I said before about the CC cashier ringing people up wrong....

Circuit City has a promotion right now where you get a $10 discount if you buy 2 games priced at $19.99 or higher, or a $20 discount if you buy 3 games priced at $20 or higher.

Some people have gotten the $10/$20 discount even though they bought games priced below $19.99 due to the CC cashier ringing them up wrong. The $10/$20 discount is applied evenly to the games you bought on your receipt. That's the reason why people posted wrong prices such as Hitman 2 for $9.99 (the $10/$20 discount was mistakely applied by the cashier). So YMMV on some of those prices on that list.

The problem, MarkMan, is that the deals will be gone before you can take advantage of them because people will a) buy them as trade-ins or b) sell them on ebay to make a quick buck. No wonder why my CC hasn't had most of these deals. They were gone before I got a chance to go check them out. How would you like it if that happened to your CC store? I don't understand the moaning from the people who can't find certain games. This deal has been going on for more than 1.5 months now (2wks before black friday). These games were first avail on the web and then sold out. Most people who got in the deals had to do their own foot work and search them at BM stores. Why are people bellyaching about a deal that has been going on for at least 6 weeks and still going? If you are too lazy to drive to different stores to find them or too afraid to ask for price checks, then stop complaining. You snooze, you lose---if you want the games for cheap, you have to work for it. I got in on some cheap $5 games, but I had to drive to 3 different CC to find them, the same complainers would say that I am insane for putting in so much effort for some $5 games.

I simply brought the game and my receipt with me and told them "Hey, I want to price match this to your new in store price. I believe it's $4.99 now." I don't think we really have to worry too much about people hoarding copies. This thread came about because Circuit City does not mark their prices and most people do not know to check the prices in the store.

Examples:

Circuit City one has had a stack of Waveraces for weeks. It is slowly dwindling so people are buying it but most don't know so its still there.

Circuit City one and two both have a handful of Zone of the Enders.

Circuit City one and two has a stack of Gungrave marked at 49.99 not moving.

Both had Rez.

Finally Circuit City one had one copy of Shinobi. It sat there for a month at 19.99 before I realized it was 9.96.

My point is that most people do not know about these prices, and some games like Shinobi are simply in low quantities, so if you've haven't found a game it's because you just haven't been lucky or quite frankly you need to search harder.

I've been to only 2 Circuit Cities and have found whatever I wanted, and theres still more in driving distance

I went to all 5 Circuit City locations in San Diego the past week. I'm glad I found all I was looking for. :) For any San Diego people, you should check out the CCs still because there are plenty of Shinobi and Gungraves around.

I ended up getting 7 games for about $70, then turning 2 of those games in (total cost $8) for $34 in tradein value to get 2 -other- games. Granted, none of these were dupes or anything. I went to CC around 1pm in Vegas. I found Wreckless (Xbox) & JSRF for $4.96 each. I also purchased Beyond Good & Evil for PS2 (there were plenty). I also saw one copy of Rez, but I didn't have enough money to get it.

I definitely agree with you -- it's far easier to go through area reports when people actually tell you what area they're from. I think there should be a mandate to have everyone fill out the Location section of the user profile with city and state.

I'm not sure where Brighton is, but the Circuit City's I went to in Michigan over christmas break, the ones in NOVI (right next to twelve oaks mall) and the one in WESTLAND (on Warren), were doing the deals I believe. I got Tenchu for 14.98 at the one in Novi and Gungrave for 4.98 at the one in Westland. dont know if that helps you at all.

In case anyone is interested, the Circuit City in Dickson City, PA has two copies of Ico (labeled at $29.99) as of Sunday afternoon, 1/11. I've heard this game is really good but hard to find, so there you go.

BTW, this store also had the JSRF/SGT and Tetris/Clone Wars discs marked at $99.99. WTF is that about?

Just for the hell of it, I stopped by CC tonight to see if they had any copies of Mega Man & Bass for GBA, knowing that Best Buy had them recently advertised on their website for $9.99. And even though the BB website showed that they were on backorder, I thought I'd see if they would match the price anyway.

Anyway, I looked around for a bit. Finally I found what I believe was the last copy they had. The box beneath the plastic security casing looked like it had been stepped on by a GBA hating fat woman, but I figured that the game etc..., would still be in good condition despite that.

I found the nearest employee and asked him if they pricematched Best Buy's website. He said that he believed they would. So I told him that BB had this game priced @ $9.99 (not mentioning the fact that, the last time I checked BB's website, it showed that this game was on backorder).

I handed him the game, and he told me that he would be right back. A couple of minutes later he walked back up to me, and handed me the game with a small receipt like piece of paper on top, and told me to take it to the register, and they would take care of the pricematch there.

When I got to the register, the girl scanned the piece of paper and the game came up to only $7.98! For a second or two I was in a small state of shock, until I remembered that when they pricematch there, that they give 110% of the difference.

This puts a new twist on this topic, as you should now be hunting out cheap games on BB's website to get an even cheaper price @ CC!

Yes, I know that most of you already knew that CC matched BB's website, and that they give another 110% of the difference, as did I. But I had never really thought of the possibilities until now.

Does anyone know if they will pricematch any other/if not all other websites? Or do they have to be competing stores with websites? If so, which ones? I am on another mission now!

BTW, although the box was smashed somewhat, the game and and manual were completely undamaged.

I always bring a print out of the game, and also a printout of Circuit Cities Pricematch policy that is listed on their website. It says that they have to PM websites as long as their local store equivelant is close by.

I went back for a few of the $5 titles I had missed and several were in the $6.xx range. Wolverine's Revenge was $13.xx. Of the titles I had grabbed, only Haven was still at the same price as the a few days ago. I was hoping it was the CC I went to (a different one than usual, I was on the road), but perhaps prices are back on the rise.

Actually, when I went to my Circuit City in Pburgh NJ, I got a bunch of 5 dollar titles and took them to the register. Only Haven came up as 5, the others were about 6 something. For 4 of the '5 dollar' games I wound up paying 27.

I believe that the $15 price was a product of the 50% off sale that happened recently there. If so, $15 would be right, as half of $30 (the original marked price) is $15. It had probably been marked down to $23.99 shortly after the sale, or during the 50% off sale, they just looked @ the sticker price, and took 50% off of that. I dunno really.

Someone correct me if I am wrong on this, as this is just an assumption on my part.

my CC helped out all the customers by actually updating their game stickers, about everyone of them. also they throw the clearance cheaped <$20 games in the budget bin.

So that means that every clearance game posted here had their sticker tags updated in my CC, JSRF $4.99, TP 2002 $4.99, UFC 2 $6.xx, etc. My local CC is friendly. :)

that was too packaged like that in my CC if that is what you mean. maybe a national thing, some Xboxes in my CC that time didn't have the game strung to it if that is what you mean. The security device strings were closed down to the combo. Or maybe that was only to normal Xbox packages. Not sure...

My CC had a ton of these scanning at one-cent each about a month ago. I tried to buy one, but they wouldn't sell it to me. They said it was only for sale if you buy an Xbox system. I came back the next day, and they were all gone.

At my CC the manager was a total asshole about the 1 cent combo . . . wouldn't sell it to me. The promo had ended, they did not advertise it as coming with an Xbox, there were no signs in the store.

They had 5 and they just vanished . . . that's alright . . . I will not buy anything at the store unless it is clearance and I will run it down with whoever will listen . . .

Don't know how much impact that will have but it is sure to cost some business . . .
