There will always be rumours of a next generation electronic device, but who knows when it will come out. There will soon be a Halo 3 theme zune coming out next month, so I doubt they're going to release a new one anytime soon.
Also Best Buy has it for $230 with a free case. And Circuit City has it for $220 and you can use a AAA 10% coupon or that $40 off coupon.

the zune hasn't even been out for a year yet. there sure as hell won't be a price cut any time soon. remember all the skeptics who said "wait for the 360 price cut"? i guess they're still waiting.

i suggest looking at staples. sometimes you can get a $50 off $250 coupon on ebay and apply it towards a zune. that's what i did.

And prices will surely go down when the A3 is launched.

I got a New 30gig A2 for around 230 shipped on eBay. I saw it at that price 3 or 4 times. I bit on the 2nd time and I've been happy with it ever since.
