A lot of them will credit you after 24-48 hours. Depends on the offer, really. Make sure you are clearing your cookies between offers (if you haven't been doing that). Really the best way to make some major points is to do one of the Credit Card required offers. Those WILL work, and a lot of the time they are free; you just have to cancel before the trial period ends. Stamps.com, Napster, and eFax are all good ones to do that won't cost you anything.


If you want, you could also try getting some referrals, but that requires advertising (i.e. my signature). That can be a big help if you get a bunch of referrals that do a few offers each. It adds up quicker than you would think.

Correct. There are plenty of free offers which don't require credit cards (or any financial information). Just informational surveys, basically. The credit card offers are all optional.

Unfortunately, it sounds like your ISP is blocking some of the cookies/data needed for your offers to credit. There's really not much you can do about that. It's just bad luck; I know--it sucks.

There's really not much to explain it. Not all of the offers work for some people. Most likely it has to do with your ISP blocking some of the necessary cookies or ports needed for the offer to credit. It sucks, but that's how it goes, I guess...

There really are not any "best" offers to do. It's just whatever works for you.

Referrals helped me the most to get GHIII (although lately I haven't gotten any referrals, heh). Also, maybe do one or two Credit Card required offers. As long as you cancel before the free trial is up, you won't be charged a penny.

The Roboform toolbar can fill in all Name, Address, etc. fields for you as well as select all the extra signup boxes as "No." in ONE CLICK. For example, sometimes when filling out offers you will get a screen that says: "Please take the time to sign up for some of our sponsors' offers," and there will be many "YES/NO" boxes for you to check. In this case, you could simply hit the "Set Fields" button on your Roboform toolbar and ALL of the boxes would instantly be checked as "NO." It is an extremely handy and time-saving program, and it's available for Free download too.

Yeah, you have to read the fine print for the offers (Terms of Service, etc.). I have yet to get signed up for something that I did not know I was getting into, and I've been using Prize Rebel for a year now.

Hmm... did I say that? Maybe you're confused with MyFaveFreebies. That site was REALLY easy to get points for (before they changed everything). I got about 80-some points in a couple days on that site, but I don't think I've ever accumulated points that fast on PrizeRebel.

32.9 points in 4 days is great, especially only doing the free offers/surveys! Referrals are the way I make most of my points now that I've exhausted most of the free offers. I try surveys now and then, and a lot of times mine don't go through either. I think it has a lot to do with your ISP blocking some of the necessary cookies for offers to credit. Nothing you can do about that; it's just bad luck.

It means just what it says. Complete the first 18 pages, and when you get to the list of offers with "YES/NO" options, you have to click "YES" on at least one of those. Whether you have to actually complete the extra offer or not, I am not sure.

Use mailinator.com. It can generate fake emails for you. Just use a different email and fake info for each offer. Roboform helps you also.

Thanks...for some reason I'm not getting credited for doing the surveys..I'm using IE Version 7 and I clear my cookies b4 and after each survey..whats the other reasons ot may not be working?

Could be some server-side issues. Either that or your ISP is blocking some of the necessary cookies that are required to get credit (in which case you can't really do anything other than try doing offers at your public library or switch ISPs).

Not sure if you would know this but for some games that PR offers, some of them are not out yet. Now if I claim one of the games today that is not out yet, lets just say Fallout 3 (comes out 10/28), will I get it on 10/28 or a week after?

Yeah, when you order a game that's not out yet, you are basically preordering it. You'll probably get it a few days after the game comes out since they usually place order with Amazon. I got lucky one time though and got GTAIV the day it came out when I (pre)ordered it through Prize Rebel. YMMV.

There is no limit on the amount of offers you can do per day. It is recommended to do a few per day though, in case something messes up one day and you don't get any credit.

Now I'm startign to get frustrated, I have gained 10.75 points (9 in one day) and for 2 days now everything I have completed I am not getting creditted for. I have been clearing my cookies and doing everything that is necessary and still not being rewarded...anyone have any ideas why?

Sometimes some offers just don't credit, no matter what you do. It could be that your ISP is blocking the necessary cookies for the offers to credit. Or it could be that the offers just suck. heh...

it won't let me make a new thread yet (30 day wait for this section it said) but i noticed some people are having problems with getting credited... and i started wondering that maybe some offers credit easier than others and some of the companies behind the offers may have something to do with the accuracy of crediting so i wanted to show the offers i have been credited with and if you havent completed them.. we can see if we all get credit for the same ones and if we do not recieve credit for the same offers.. so if we get a good list of higher standard offers that credit often then it may help others in not having to sift through and hope for credit to come when you do complete it.. my cousin was doing prizerebel from my referral and we made a list of the ones we had completed and the list was earily similar lol.. and the ones that werent on each others we soon completed and were credited... so with more people we can find which offers are crap and which ones are good .. so to start it off (prizerebel.com)only for now plz) here is what i have so far ;)

these were all under the completely free us offers btw.. when posting your completed offers specify which category it was under if not under that one........so post the ones you have completed i will try them and you guys try mine .. then i will keep a counter or something on comfirmed kills for each to keep track of how reliable certain offers are.. ones that are completing well will go on the recommeded list or w/e that way all new viewers can try those ones first and get credit for their work more accurately... ... well me and my cousin on each of those puts them all at 2 ... i'd love to take everyone at their word but we should probably do screens or sumn.. feel free to suggest anything you feel would be helpful.... if we get alot of feedback we can bummy off each others lists and start filling in the gaps and finding all the completeable offers .. well ty and gl to all ..

Hi all. First off, I'm new to the boards, so I just wanted to say hey.

Secondly, I just started using PrizeRebel a few days ago, and I have some rather serious questions I wanna ask.

Mainly, what information should I fill in on all the surveys and forms? PR's own site told me to always put in my personal information, so I did. But now, I'm starting to get really worried.

I knew that I'd be getting a TON of spam, so I used a secondary e-mail that I haven't used in a long time. What's worrying me, however, is the possibility of junk mail and telemarketer calls. Nearly every one of the offers that I fill out asks for my home address and phone number, both of which I would really rather NOT give out. But, following PR's advice, I did anyway, and already I've gotten two phone calls from solicitors wanting to sell me something.

I don't think they can charge me for anything, because I didn't give out ANY credit card information, NOR did I put my cell number into any of those that ask for it. But I want to know, is there any real risk of me getting into trouble with my real info?

And if there is, what kind of info should I put in? I can't just put in the info of someone I don't know. I don't want THEM to get harassed by anyone, regardless of whether I know them or not. I mean, that's just hateful.

And while I'm at it, is there any chance I could get any malicious software from any of those sites? I'm running Norton Antivirus now, and I have Ad Aware, which I run every night, but will that be enough to protect me?

Are there any other risks besides the ones listed above that I should look out for? Is there a chance my identity could be stolen?! Is there.... Is... Is there..... Oh god......

Hey, welcome to CAG, SpacemanHardy. Glad you decided to join.

Okay, in regards to junk mail--if you give out your address, you're going to get junk mail. For me, it never really bothered me though. Just throw it out, and don't give it a second thought.

Telemarketer calls are a whole other issue though. I know they can be very annoying. The way I got around this though, was by using a service called PrivatePhone, which was a free voicemail service (you could check your messages online). Unfortunately, the service no longer exists... Perhaps there is something else like that which you could use (?). In the meantime, make sure you (politely) tell any telemarketer that calls to remove you from their list to prevent future annoyances.

I understand your concerns about Identity theft; when I first started using freebie sites like this, I was worried about it myself. However, I've been doing this for over a year now, and I have had no problems or threats of my identity being stolen (as have many others). I'm sure all the offers available on Prize Rebel go through a screening process before they are added. After all, the advertizers are paying PR for the information we give them, so I would guess that there is some type of business contract that would protect us from something like that. If they don't have your credit card information, they can't charge you for anything. In any case, I've never heard of someone getting their identity stolen due to filling out offers on Prize Rebel, so I wouldn't stress about it.

You wouldn't get any viruses from the any of the sites, but adware is a possiblity. Ad-aware should be sufficient, but you could also try Spy-bot Search and Destroy if you wanted to (another anti-spyware utility).

Whether or not you use your real information is ultimately up to you. Just realize that you could (without notice) be permanently banned from Prize Rebel and lose all your points. Providing false information is giving useless information to the advertisers (who are paying for legitimate data) and is not ethical.

Haha, no need to hyperventilate. I think it's a lot less risky than it seems at first. And if you're still not comfortable with it, just get enough points for an inexpensive "prize", and you can quit any time.

Just a quick question:

About how long does the average offer take to credit?

I've been doing a bunch of .2 and .5's all night, but only a couple of them have given me any credit at all.

I've set my browser to accept all cookies, and I'm using CCleaner to delete them afterwards. I don't have any firewalls or blockers on that I know of...

Am I just unlucky?

It could take anywhere from 2 minutes to 48 hours. Sometimes it is just bad luck, though. Try looking through the lists of completed offers that other CAGs have done (in previous pages of this thread and perhaps other Prize Rebel threads) and try those.

Firefox would be the better browser to use IMO. Just make sure you have any add-ons disabled when you complete offers (ie. Adblock Plus, No Script, etc.). But hey, if you want to you can try both to see which works best for you.

Oh wow, that's terrible. I had stopped using MFF a while ago. I had spoken with the owner a few times (through the forums and support tickets) and she seemed like a really nice person.

MFF used to be the easiest way to get points, back when it first started. All you had to do was enter your email or zip code, and you would get $1 each time. I made a couple hundred dollars in a couple weeks, haha; it was great. Then they changed it though... and made it more difficult.

Right now Prize Rebel is all I use at the moment, so it's all I can really recommend. Referrals are the easiest way to earn stuff for free, if you can get them, that is (Lately I haven't gotten any). I've noticed a general trend though: in most cases, the newer the site is, the easier it is to make money/get credit for your offers. You just have to be willing to trust it. I joined PR and MFF within a few months of their launch, and was definitely earning the most points then.

It can take a up to a few days to get approval sometimes. Usually it's only about 24 hours though. They usually won't give you any extra notification; just check your account every now and then to see if it has been approved or not.
