Prize Rebel (http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=1570)

Before I begin: PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR REFERRAL LINK IN THIS THREAD. However, feel free to create a thread of your own. Even placing a link in your signature is fine.

Here's how it works: Just fill out a survey (or sometimes only even part of a survey) and get points which can be spent on gaming paraphernalia, such as Wii points, Xbox 360/PS3 crap, or ANYTHING gaming-related from Amazon.com, eBay, or the online store of your choice. So far I've gotten 3 Wii points cards from doing this WITHOUT ANY referral points.

EDIT: Prize Rebel has changed their policy to accept orders for ANYTHING you want from ANY site to use with your points (1 point=$1).

Tips and Tricks:
1. First, here's the FAQ: http://www.prizerebel.com/faq2.php*HINT: READ the FAQ. It contains answers to many common questions* :-P

2. I would use a spam (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) email account because you will get a ton of junk email from doing these offers. The email account must be your own though (one that you created).

3. Use your REAL information when completing offers; using fake information could get you permanently banned.

4. Also, there's a handy little program called Roboform (http://www.roboform.com (http://www.roboform.com/)). The Roboform toolbar can fill in all Name, Address, etc. fields for you as well as select all the extra signup boxes as "No." in ONE CLICK. For example, sometimes when filling out offers you will get a screen that says: "Please take the time to sign up for some of our sponsors' offers," and there will be many "YES/NO" boxes for you to check. In this case, you could simply hit the "Set Fields" button on your Roboform toolbar and ALL of the boxes would instantly be checked as "NO." It is an extremely handy and time-saving program, and it's available for Free download too.

5. You should also clear your cookies between each survey/offer. This will help ensure that you get credit. A program such as Ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com (http://www.ccleaner.com/)) is helpful for tasks like this. One of my favorite apps (also Free to download). Offers should credit within 48 hours, so wait at least that long before retrying them or giving up on them.

6. In addition, make sure you allow ALL cookies. You can do this by lowering your Privacy Settings to "None" in Internet Explorer.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask on this thread, and I can try to help.

Interested in trying it out (it's free)? If you want to be nice, please use my referral link below to sign up. I would make 20% of what you make. It is an EXTRA 20%; you don't lose anything.

Oh yeah, here's proof that Prize Rebel does in fact pay out. I wrote "Prize Rebel Rocks" on the back of the receipt/packing slip. I might use it as a testimonial, just for kicks.

My newest "prize," Guitar Hero III for the 360. Awesome.

Okay, I'd just like to correct myself in saying, GAMING LAGOON SUCKS.

Haha, so don't bother signing up; it's a waste of time. About 80% of my completed offers were denied/disapproved, even when I entered in true information and cleared my cookies after each survey.

I got my Wii Points Card, and now I'm done.

I advise all of you to stay away and find a different "free" rewards site. I'm trying out PrizeRebel at the moment; I'll let you know how that goes. If it works well, I'll be posting a referral link up later...

EDIT: GamingLagoon has improved a lot lately. They're still not perfect, but it's worth signing up for IMO

HOLY CRAP. Prize Rebel is SO MUCH BETTER! My offers are approved almost instantly. I've already gotten 10 points just from doing surveys.

So far, I highly recommend it: http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=1570

I would really appreciate a referral, as I've never gotten one before... on ANYTHING. So that would be awesome if anyone could sign up under me...

Yay, I got enough points for a Wii Points card. That is the fastest I've ever gotten so many points on any freebie site so far.

Do you do CC offers? Because on PrizeRebel, if you do the CC offers, you can get enough for a Wii Points card in like 2 minutes. I just ordered my copy of Super Paper Mario from them!

Unfortunately, though, I should have 39 more points. My 20 points from Stamps.com wasn't approved, as well as an 11 and 8 pointer.

The customer service is really good, though. Hopefully I can get manually credited for these, because I did them all exactly how I was supposed to, and my credit card was charged and all that. I'd hate for it to end up being like GamingLagoon and I end up with tons of disapproved offers.

PrarieD0G
06-09-2007, 11:04 PM
Yeah the one CC offer I did was a free trial to Gotta Play and it was credited after a few hours (I also contacted support, which responded prompty). You're right, you can get your prizes really fast. I just hope they get more offers soon. Super Paper Mario is a sweet game, good choice.

I HATE Stamps.com though. It didn't work for me on GamingLagoon (of course that could have just been GamingLagoon's fault), and I've heard of other people who have had problems as well.

06-10-2007, 01:36 AM
When I cancel I'm going to tell them that that's why I cancelled, because they didn't give me my damn points, when in reality I had no intention in keeping it. I will admit, though, the service is pretty cool. Like, I printed out postage for a letter because prizerebel said you have to "try the service", and it looks pretty legit.

Haha, and I did the GottaPlay one, too. I was kinda iffy about it since they charge the monthly fee right off the bat and then refund it later, but I was so desperate to get to 45 points that I did it anyway. When I didn't get credited after 3 minutes, I started banging stuff, because it's usually instant, and because this was like the 4th offer in a row that didn't work. I went and played Zelda for like 10 minutes, and came back and it was approved. I promptly apologized to my desk, and ordered Paper Mario.

PrarieD0G
06-10-2007, 02:27 AM
Haha, well I'm glad everything worked out for you. I liked GottaPlay because you don't have to actually call in to cancel--just hit a button, heh. For Stamps.com, I never bothered to print out stamps, but it did seem like a cool idea.

My Wii Points order still hasn't been processed yet (only been like a day), but I have pretty good faith that it will be soon.

Farny
06-10-2007, 02:30 AM
I haven't cancelled anything, but I've kept good record. You're telling me you can just click a button on the GottaPlay site to cancel membership? Did you check your credit card statement to see if you were refunded?

PrarieD0G
06-10-2007, 02:36 AM
Yep, there's 'Cancel Membership' link in my account information page which will cancel the account. I haven't actually cancelled my account yet (waiting on the Wii Points to be processed first), but I clicked on the link and it says that the cancellation will be effective immediately (if you confirm it). The terms say that you'll be refunded the subscription amount.

PrarieD0G
06-10-2007, 01:00 PM
Wow, you should cancell that GottaPlay Membershipe ASAP. This is what a fellow CAGer said about it today:

guys do not do the gottaplay offer, it is dangerous. The owner came out and told every freebie site that they were hacked and all the members information were stolen. people in the big freebie forums were crying how they were charged 100 to 1000 dollars. so watch out.

The best offers to do are

bloackbuster
stamps- i cancelled the same day, and save your confirmation code.
efax- same thing.
bidz.com

watchout when u do the offers and read the whole terms.

Sheesh, I hope no one here got charged.

Definitely sweet. The customer service continues to impress me.
http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=1570

I also am trying out this other site called MyFaveFreebies. Yeah, the name sounds lame, but it probably the easiest freebie site I've ever tried. You can earn 1 full point (valued at $1) for simply inputting your email or zip code in certain sites! There are like 80 of these types of offers too.

So far I've been credited 21 points just from doing zip code or email offers. Yeah, it's awesome. At first I thought it almost too good to be true, but it actually works.

One tip I can suggest though, is to use Firefox when completing these offers and to clear your cookies (using a program such as CCleaner, for instance) after each offer. The site owner says the most offers are credited at once per day at around midnight, so don't panic if you're not receiving credit right away. Some of the prizes include Amazon Gift cards, Paypal money (yes, actually money, lol), Xbox 360, iPods, and more.

Well, anyway, here's the link: http://www.myfavefreebies.com/?ref=1312

xboxowns
06-19-2007, 02:08 AM
I wish CCleaner even worked on my comp. Is it true that IE works better than Firefox on these type of offers? I've been trying IE for MFF but no damn luck, not a single zip/email offer gets accepted. And to think I'm only 0.6 points from what I need and not a single offer is crediting me (not just the zip/email ones, everything pretty much)

Foladar

PrarieD0G
06-19-2007, 01:31 PM
Firefox works OK for me w/ clearing cookies after each offer. The MegaPromotions offers aren't crediting too well though. Remeber, these offers take about 12-24 hours to credit.

Here is a very helpful Zip/Email FAQ that you guys should read:
http://www.myfavefreebies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=242

If all else fails, send in a support ticket so that you can go to your local library and complete some offers. A lot of people seem to be having luck doing that.

Oh yeah, no problem help1, even though I've gotten next to nothing on the FairyTale site, lol. I'll try to get some more.

Like I mentioned in the beginning, GamingLagoon (and all the 'Lagoon' sites for that matter) is having major problems at the moment. I wouldn't waste your time on them.

For MyFaveFreebies, it seems to be a YMMV thing. For some people it works like a charm, for others, NOTHING seems to be working. The only advice I could really give you has been already posted in the FAQ.

http://www.myfavefreebies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=242

Here's a NEW FAQ:
http://www.myfavefreebies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=245

And a different method of clearing cookies when using FireFox:
http://www.myfavefreebies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=239

Well, that's all I got for now. Just remember to use CCleaner between each offer, and hopefully you'll be OK.

Foladar

Yeah, I'm in the "nothing seems to be working boat"
I've tried CCleaner or not. I've tried Firefox, IE, and Avant. I've tried cleaning them out manually, deleting files. I've tried the dot "trick", the plus "trick" .. dunno what else to attempt at this point. First few went through on 6/13 then nada.

RE: MyFaveFreebies crediting:

Well, I went to my local library (after sending in a support ticket) and virtually all of the email/zip offers that wouldn't credit before are now credited. :D I used Internet Explorer and didn't even clear out my cookies. I'd have to say MFF customer support is the best I've ever seen.

If you are having problems, I highly recommend visiting your local library and filling out offers.

PrarieD0G
06-21-2007, 11:17 PM
LOL, well it would be worth it if you make a hundred bucks, eh?

FTT is working like a charm for me as well I've gotten almost $75 in 2 days from doing the Zip and email submit offers. It does take longer due to the fact that you have to enter your username in the box every time, but it's worth it.

In case anyone is wondering I use Firefox and CCleaner between each offer on FTT. I also created a long gmail and used the dot trick for the email offers. Of course, this seems to be a YMMV thing as well. If MFF isn't working, this could be a good alternative.

Try it out guys: http://fairytaletreasure.com/members/register.php?ref=PrarieD0G

Oh, the negative points just means you had 7 points left over, xboxowns. That means for your next prize you will only need 7 points less that what the actual price says. Nothing to worry about.

For example, say you want an iPod video for your next prize. You only need to earn 243 points (instead of 250) to get it.

that means you have 32 points. it subtracts from the prize requirements when you cash out if you have any extra points. that means you can order it and still have 7 points.

I've been trying out GamingLagoon again, and it has gotten a lot better. I got 14 points (doing free offers) and ordered this:

Just letting you guys know: the deadline is tonight--before midnight--for prize submissions for MyFaveFreebies and FairyTaleTreasures if you want to receive your prize/money next month. I have just submitted my prize requests... Hopefully everything will go smoothly :D .

Well, this will probably be my last post until August, as I'm leaving to go to this Governor's School thing. I will be there for the whole month of July. I'm going to be learning Web design/Flash animation. I'm not really looking forward to it, but I'm hoping for the best, heh. See you guys later!

One note about Cashchute though:

Cashchute and MyFaveFreebies have many of the same offers (especially for the zip/email submit offers). You should pick one or the other to avoid being banned by both sites for completing the same offer twice.

Good luck with the offers. I still haven't gotten around to going to the library lol. Tomorrow is my last day that I could do it... I'll be gone to this summer school thing to learn Web design/Flash animation for the whole month of July.

I don't think this is true as the lady at MFF told me the offer sites don't log ip. They just insert something into the cookies and check the email form to make sure its not a dupe.

PrarieD0G

Did you clear your cookies after each offer? For the email addresses did you use the "dot trick"?

It really should have credited, and you should not have had to do the complete surveys if it was a zip/email offer.. Some ISP's just don't work with these sites as well. Hopefully that's not the case for you. I mean, I easily got 190 points on MFF.

Like I said, if all else fails, just go to your local Library. Make sure you send in a support ticket before you go thouh. For me, making $50-100 is worth the trip, haha.

Just another bump for the day.

I did have about 40-some credits revoked from MFF today, but that was not the site's fault. Here is an explanation:

I wish I had better news for you. I can't even think of how to say everything that needs to be said, so I'll just break it down the best way I can.

First of all, it is not only this site that has been affected by the email/zip problem. Some other sites (one VERY high profile one) are also being affected. So don't think it's a MFF problem.

The advertiser got mad because there is a group of people using a bot to fill out the offers. They were mad because a whole bunch of people were using fake email addresses. They are not pleased with the quality of the traffic that they received from these offers.

As of yesterday, a settlement had been reached that would have been bad, but not horrible. We were going to lose some credits, but keep the majority of them. This morning, the advertiser changed their mind and decided to revoke the entire month's completions. That's right - they wanted to revoke everything going back to June 1st.

Luckily, my affiliate manager is awesome and has been able to talk her boss into absorbing the loss for the first half of the month. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to salvage the second half of the month. All leads from email/zip submits have been revoked.

That means that a lot of you will not be paid as you had anticipated. There is nothing I can do about it, unfortunately. I know it's not fair to those of you who did everything right, but that's the game we're playing. Sometimes you CAN get something for nothing. Sometimes you can't.

My affiliate manager is in the process of setting up some new easy offers with a different advertiser. She asked me to apologize to you guys and promises to have new stuff soon.

I have asked her to have the advertiser in question review the quality of our current traffic. If they are not happy with it, I will be pulling the email/zip offers. It's just not going to be worth having them if they're going to take off with the leads and not pay for them.

It's not fair. I'm not happy about it. We're ALL losing money here.

I'm in the process of adding new offers from a new affiliate site. I'm doing what I can to get you guys some new amazing offers. Hang in there - we'll have some new stuff soon!

An update for MFF:

So it looks like we're on track again! Thank you all for making the effort so we can keep these great offers.

Remember, you must use an email address that belongs to you, your own personal information on the second page and you must now complete the survey. You have to get to the page that says "Last Step"

Also - If I discover that you are doing ANY offer on multiple sites, your account will be placed on hold permanently. No exceptions.

I signed up for MFF. With the email and zipcode ones, do you have to fill out all the stuff afterwards with yes or no and go through all that? Or is it safe to close out the window after you enter your email/zip?

I'm pretty new to these types of sites. So bare with me :p

PrarieD0G

From what the admin says, you're supposed to fill in the "yes/no" parts as well.
Also, please remember that you must go all the way through the survey until you see the "Last Step!" message. You must use your own valid email address and your own valid personal information.

However, you may be able to get by with just doing the first 2 pages. Experiment with it, and see what works.

Foladar
08-18-2007, 01:44 AM
I'd probably give them a full 24 hours to credit, since most of these sites import their stats daily, and no I'd also say theres no limit however I don't frequent FTT personally .. Prarie can answer those questions better I'm sure.

PrarieD0G
08-18-2007, 12:37 PM
Thanks, Foladar.

Yeah, if you complete the offers before midnight, they usually credit sometime the next morning/afternoon, in my experience. There's no limit to how many you can do; however, I wouldn't recommend doing them all in one sitting because, that way if nothing credits, it won't all be for nothing.

And remember, if nothing is crediting, just head to your library and try doing some offers. That almost always works.

insomniac190
08-19-2007, 12:54 AM
I submitted a ticket to PrizeRebel a few days ago and they said "Please read the faq on reasons for no credit. We cannot help you beyond that."

Looks like I'm out a dollar. I did request a 2000 wii points card though, might give it to my nephew for Christmas or something. Or keep it until I get two of these http://retrousb.com/index.php?productID=122 through GL offers :D.

Any idea how long an offer stays in pending for? I haven't received an email from PrizeRebel and submitted the prize request this morning.

And I might need to break from PR for a while because the same offers are on GL and I don't want to dupe any of them and get my account terminated.

Foladar
08-19-2007, 01:44 AM
My request for a prize took nearly a week, if thats what you meant? You mentioned an offer first, then prize, so confused me there.
It was also for a Wii points card.

insomniac190
08-19-2007, 03:06 AM
Yeah I meant prize request instead of an offer. So it took a week before they mailed it out? Or it arrived a week after you requested it?

Also, did they email you the code or mail the card? It doesnt really matter, but if I do gift it, I'd like to give them an actual card.

Foladar
08-19-2007, 03:33 AM

Darn, I'm sorry that they weren't more helpful and that you wasted a dollar (and your time)... that must be annoying. The same thing happened to me on GamingLagoon (with the Stamps.com offer).

For me it only took about 3 days to get my Wii Points code via email. Some people get theirs with in a day or 2 even. I guess it's a YMMV thing.

Email seems like their only method of giving out Wii Points though...

KingofOldSchool

RockyRan
08-23-2007, 08:51 PM
Hey, just joined the site yesterday and I got a few questions about this. If anyone can answer them I'd be very thanful.

First, has anyone requested a physical prize that needs to be shipped to an address? Because I'm only doing the entire enchilada for a nunchuck controller but prizerebel doesn't know my address. Do they ask for your address when you order a physical prize?

Second, I know some offers dont' give you any credit, but others want you to complete multiple offers INSIDE those offers so they can be considered "complete". Has anyone else gotten this issue? Because it's really ticking me off because they're allegedly under the "non Credit Card" offers and you actually need a credit card to go through the offer.

Third, how long does it usually take when the offers say "Credit in 24 hrs"? Is it at the 24 hrs or just at a random time?

Fourth, the website tells you to not do offers more than once. Thing is, a lot of them don't credit instantly and since a lot of the sites look the same, I end up doing them more than once. Does doing offers more than once nullify your credits or not?

Sorry for all the questions, and please don't skip over this post just because it looks long :P. Thanks in advance to anyone who answer my questions!

Ooh, yeah, my bad. I overheard one of the empoyees talking, and they said that they get them at the beginning of the week, but everyone asks for them at the end of the week because that's when they get paid (and then they're out of stock).

I just pre-ordered Super Mario Galaxy through PrizeRebel, w00t! Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

I did like 4 offers in a row last night, and all of them credited withinin 24 hours--some within minutes even. Nice.
Way to go!

I got an amazing 3.2 points from refs alone today. Awesome!

PrarieD0G

It could just be bad luck with your ISP. Some ISP's just block some of the stuff that is necessary for getting credit. Did you check out my Advice in the OP?

You should also clear your cookies between each survey/offer. This will help ensure that you get credit. A program such as Ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com (http://www.ccleaner.com/)) is helpful for tasks like this.
So yeah, make sure you are clearing your cookies in between each offer. Also, disable any web accelerator (i.e. FasterFox) or Ad-blocker (i.e. Ad-block plus).

If you really wanna rack up points fast, CC offers are the way to go, though.

Munny1212
10-04-2007, 09:10 PM
Yeah well Ive cleared my cookies everytime and im using Comcast so maybe thats the problem?

PrarieD0G
10-05-2007, 03:23 PM
Yes, Comcast does block some stuff. That could be your problem. I have Comcast too, and some of the offers won't credit for me either. I think it's different in each area though.

You could try contacting PrizeRebel support and asking if you could go to your library to fill out offers. I've done that for MFF and it all offers credited perfectly for me.

Munny1212
10-06-2007, 07:32 PM
Does it Have to Be Game Related because I need a new ethernet cable. Or can I say thats a Acessory because it technically is

PrarieD0G
10-06-2007, 09:46 PM
Hmm... I dunno. Sounds like it could be gaming related. Just say you need to hook up your Xbox360 to the internet, lol.

As a side note, I've noticed that GamingLagoon offers more points for some of the same offers that PrizeRebel has. They've also done a revamping of the offers, placing offers that usually credit one category and those that don't normally credit in another. I've gotten a bunch of offers to credit lately.

PrarieD0G
10-11-2007, 12:47 AM
Hehe, I use MyFaveFreebies as well. I used to have it posted in the OP, but I took it down since so many people were having problems with offers crediting due to most ISP's blocking the stuff. The only way to get credit for most people (for most offers) is to go to your local library and complete offers. I probably got the most payout from MFF though.

Here is what I had originally posted:

MyFaveFreebies--earnings so far 137 pts = $137

Another good site (with even higher payouts than Prizerebel) is MyFaveFreebies. Yeah, the name sounds lame, but it is definitely the easiest freebie site I have ever used. You can earn 1 full point (valued at $1) for simply inputting your email or zip code in certain sites! There are about 100 of these types of offers too.

UPDATE from the Admin:
Remember, you must use an email address that belongs to you, your own personal information on the second page and you must now complete the survey. You have to get to the page that says "Last Step"

Also - If I discover that you are doing ANY offer on multiple sites, your account will be placed on hold permanently. No exceptions.

So far I've been credited 101 points just from doing zip code or email offers. Yeah, it's awesome. At first I thought it almost too good to be true, but it actually works. The site is privately owned by a mother of two who is just trying to make a little extra cash, so it's definitely trustworthy. She is willing to work with you on almost anything.
HINT: Read the FAQ: http://www.myfavefreebies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=245 (http://www.myfavefreebies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=245)

One tip I can suggest though, is to use Firefox when completing these offers and to clear your cookies (using a program such as CCleaner, for instance) after each offer. The site owner says the most offers are credited at once per day, so don't panic if you're not receiving credit right away. Check out the forums to find answers to commonly asked questions. Some of the prizes include Amazon Gift cards, Paypal money (yes, actually money, lol), Xbox 360, iPods, and more.

Well, anyway, here's the link: http://www.myfavefreebies.com/?ref=1312

Or if you just want to sign up without giving me referral points: www.myfavefreebies.com (http://www.myfavefreebies.com/)

PrizeRebel is having a prize drawing this weekend.

"Complete and get credited for any offers this weekend
(10/20/07 - 10/21/07) and be entered to win 1 of 3 copies of
The Orange Box!"

The Orange Box is awesome! I got it the other day, and it's amazing, haha, especially since i had never played HL2 before. Portal is such a sweet game too. You guys should join PrizeRebel if only to take part in this contest. Your chances of winning are actually pretty good if you think about it. And you only have to do one measly offer--that's cake.

PrarieD0G
10-30-2007, 06:24 PM
Do a few more pages just to ensure that you get credit. Remember to clear you cookies between offers too. Make sure that all ad-blockers are turned off and firewalls disabled.

If it still doesn't work, then it's just a problem with your ISP.

You have to be careful with cellphone offers. Some of them will add a charge to your cell phone bill. You have to read the fine print. I haven't done any cell phone offers, so I couldn't tell you if you get any sales calls or not...

does myfavefreebies still have a lot of zip and email offers.. if so.. ill sign up under your account

PrarieD0G
11-28-2007, 02:47 AM
Sort of. They're not really ONLY entering your Zip/Email anymore, unfortunately. You have to complete more of the survey. Payout is still $1 per survey though; great deal. Offers seem to approve less often for some people though.

Remember, you must use an email address that belongs to you, your own personal information on the second page and you must now complete the survey. You have to get to the page that says "Last Step"

Also - If I discover that you are doing ANY offer on multiple sites, your account will be placed on hold permanently. No exceptions.

It's your call I guess. I had a great experience with MFF, but others have had trouble getting offers to credit. I sent in a support ticket and went to the library and pretty much ALL of my offers went through.

Anyway, if you're still interested, here's my link:

Thanks so much! You're the first signup I've had in a while, heh.

You could easily get 30-40 points or so from doing all the free offers. That would take a while though, and not ALL of them are likely to credit. I'd recommend doing just one of the Credit Card required if you can. Makes it a lot less tedious, hehe. The eFax and Blockbuster ones are both good and don't cost anything (as long as you cancel before the trial period ends).

Either way, you can definitely get a $20 item (like a 2000 Wii Points card) in no time.
