Has anyone used their cell to express their love for games? In my case, I have a Sony Ericsson T610:
Ringtone: Megaman X4 - X's Theme
Theme: Disgaea - Laharl (the picture changes depending on where you are in the phone)

I'm behind the times... I don't have a cell phone. When I'm out I'd rather not be bothered.

Hah, I don't have a cell phone either. I used to, but now I refuse to be a slave and commit two years to Verizon just to take a phone away from home.
Are there plans that you can just pay month to month with no contracts?

My phone rings.. its f'ing amazing.. when I have call I hear 'ring' 'ring' 'ring'. Why you people find it necessary to hear a pisspoor version of some asinine song to let you know your phone rings.. I'll never understand.. much less turning it to max volume so everyone has to hear that bullshit.
Actually, my phone usually vibrates so it doesn't irritate people around me... but I'm past expecting courtesy from most people.

I have the SMB song as a custom ringer for a couple of people. My main ringer is Big Poppa. Cornfedwb, if you have a good phone, you can convert songs to a qcp file, and they sound pretty damn good on a cell phone.

Quite frankly I don't care if the Boston Pops pop out of your phone and play Pachel's Canon in D.. I don't want to have it blasting in my ears every time your phone rings. Vibrate is there for a reason.. but if for some reason you've lost feeling in your body.. atleast turn the volume to a low, reasonable level and answer the thing quickly.
People will cell phones reminds me of people with boomboxes in the early 80s.. no consideration, no courtesy.

Did people actually walk around with boomboxes on their shoulders? I remember seeing it at times on tv, but it wasn't a very popular practice, was it?

Definitely. I've had some guy sitting next to me carry out an entire conversation really loudly on the phone, and some girl play a really loud game while in the damn movie theater. It would buzz really loud every time she scored, and it pissed me off to no end. I hate people like that.

I have metriod as a ringer... and legend of zelda a link to the past. Alot of poeple though the metriod one came with the phone... zelda they just sit there and say, "why do I know that?" [slap!] Er.... oh well. Just wait, in like five years it will get worse with the type of ringers and the ability to creat all your own personalized content. And they will proabally be loud too. :(

When I'm in a situation where I let my phone ring, I've got the Neo Geo Splash Tune (http://arcadetones.emuunlim.com/sounds/1417.mp3), which doesn't sound obnoxious, nor can many people tell it's game related.
And plenty of arcade ringtones can be found here (http://arcadetones.emuunlim.com/).
