Tomorrow is Memorial Day, the day many of will BBQ, sunburn and maybe watch the Indianapolis 500 (or just game). I thought it would be nice to say a few words in memory of those who who have died in service. Perhaps a few of you even know someone who has died overseas recently

I'd also like to pass along info about the the "National Moment of Remembrance". It's a resolution that was passed on Dec 2000 which asks that at 3 p.m. local time, for all Americans "To voluntarily and informally observe in their own way a Moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to 'Taps."

Thank you for those that gave all for this great country.

Thank you for those who sacrificed themselves for the wellbeing of future generations, including myself, who appreciates the chance to live in a free country.

Memorial what?

I kid, I kid. I think Moxio put it pretty well, so I'm just going to second his statement.

This is an excellent thread idea. I think a lot of people forget what memorial day is all about.

I'm just going to go shake my cousins hand, and give me regards to his fallen brothers.

My father served in the US Air Force for 20 years, and while I was fortunate that I didn't lose him to battle, I know that many other families were forever changed by the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to all members of the armed services for your selfless acts.
