Not sure if this is will be a new Disgaea game, or a port of the original (hoping for the former), but looks likely!

(Reader Question) Any chance of Disgaea on the Nintendo DS?
Nao: Let me just say this... you can look forward to it!

And...

What about your other PS2 games?
Nao: Will NISA's other PS2 games also hit PSP? There are some ideas being discussed, but they might be on other mobile consoles... :)

Yup, just read this from RPGamer. I can't wait and have been expecting this for a long time. They've said before they will go with whatever game system has the biggest market.

/hoping for an original NIS game for DS, not a port/remake.

Hmm you guys are slow, there is already and original NIS SRPG in the works with a release date in the sates for the DS.
Look up a little title called " Luminous Arc "

I really doubt they'd be able to fit Disgaea on a DS cart... maybe I'm wrong though.

It'll probably be something new.

NIS shouldnt have anything to do with Luminous Arc. Atlus is publishing it. Image Epoch developed it.

Such a small company doesnt need to be wasting time doing ports on any platform. Unless they mean the rest of the Marl Kingdom series :3

Disgaea was on a CD, not DVD. It's possible.

The US version is on DVD due to the dual audio track

If they got rid of the voices, and dumbed-down some of the battle animations, I could see it transferring to the DS fairly smoothly. I think people just naturally assume that since you could easily sink hundreds of hours into the game, that somehow it must be huge. It really wasn't that large, necessarily; it was just incredibly deep.

That being said, I'd rather see a brand new title than a port, but hell, I'd take anything.

Ports? I don't want a port.... ports belong on the PSP (i'm joking :ziplip: ). But yea, dialog will be very limited if it is on the DS. Though, I am estatic about a Disgaea DS. I just hope they include a save anytime option, since it is a portable game.
