Not that I care much, but he just made it official. Personally, the only thing I'm looking forward to is the first time the Lakers face the Heat.

Just like Shaq said, Kobe will never be better than Mike until he makes the people around him better. And that will never happen.

If he wanted to prove that than he would have went to the Clips, but personally I wouldn't want to play there either.

Can't trade him when he's an unrestricted free agent dude.

eh, i dn't really care much either. i knew he was staying a laker...
i'm more occupied with arguing with "spurs fans" about why malone coming here isn't a bad thing. i swear ...
anyway, about kobe, not making his teammates better ... i don't think that's a fair analysis. sure, it's easy to say now that Jordan is the best ever(which he is), blah blah blah, he made his team mates better, blah blah blah, but come on. To be honest, Kobe shares the same traits that Jordan had. Selfish, ballhog, desire to win, blah blah ... I know i'm going to get arguments over that but come on, look at the Wizards? Yeah, the guy was old, but I think that stint showed his selfish side more than anything.
whatever ... go spurs go!

Ya it does, after 3 years of that crap I can't take it anymore. The real problem is not enough chips are firing up and the football team is about to become DII if attendance doesn't jump up.

I was thing he would stay with the Lakers the whole time, until the Clippers traded for cap space. Well, I don't really care because I will always dislike Kobe, since I am a Jordan fan.
I feel that Kobe is overrated. He's just an egocentric person and basketball player.

I was thinking he was gonna go somewhere else, until they traded Shaq. After that I figured he'd stay a Laker. He has his own team now and won't have to move anywhere. It doesn't matter though, the Heat are gonna be better than the Lakers next year anyways.

i think t-mac is better than kobe. at least he doesnt have a big ego as kobe and he is willing to share to spotlight now with yao ming as the next shaq and kobe tandem

yeah right, T-Mac will probably be just as selfish. just wait until people start asking him why he isn't passing the ball to Yao Ming more when T-Mac keeps jacking up 30 shots a game.

He's way less selfish than Kobe. Probably the only reason he took that many shots in Orlando was because he didn't have anyone else around him. Don't forget T-Mac played with Vince Carter at the beginning of his career, so I'm sure he'll be comfortable with sharing the spotlight. I think he'll be a great fit in Houston. Kobe's all about himself, if he wasn't then he wouldn't have made such a big deal out of having his OWN team. I like them both, but Kobe's kinda a little self-centered biotch.

wait a minute, you all give Tracy McGrady way too much love. This is a man who quit on his team last season

As a Spurs fan, lets argue. SPURS DONT NEED MALONE!

Didn't we all know that Kobe would wise up and stay a Laker? Come on, was there really any doubt what so ever?

Even though I'm a Spurs fan and I hate Malone as well, I don't think acquiring him would be a bad thing. Apparently Horry wants to leave so that doesn't leave many options for power forward. Malone coming off the bench would strengthen the already depleted roster.

Malone is on his last leg. I hope he retires without getting an NBA title.

Explains why the Magic was last in the NBA last year in every defensive category.
I also think Malone needs to retire. He didn't play very good for the Lakers last season and I feel he's too old. The Spurs are a better team without signing him.
