Currently Playing Jade Empire. I am kind of on a Bioware kick. Pretty much sold all of my 360 games so have been taking advantage of the B2G1 deal. Somehow got the collectors edition of it too. By buying that I found out there was a Mass Effect one as well and my heart sank.

As long as you haven't played the original, yes. The best part of the lost chapters imo was the first puzzle you do, and after that it's a quick rollercoaster ride to the end of the new content.

Recently Replayed MGS2 on the xbox and also want to play Riddick again also. Need to finish KOTOR2 and will before buying Mass Effect on PC. I have a soft spot for "Black" also so I'm sure from time to time I'll keep replaying levels from that. I love my xbox and I don't own a 360

Just started up Batman Begins. So far it's not to bad. Nothing special but not bad. My son loves anything superheroes so at the very least a good excuse to play games in front of him :applause:
Anyways, Im running out of XBOX games to buy. Thank you gamestop for the b2g1 but you would be stupid to end it. Unless you like xbox games just sitting around since most of yours are to expensive.
I also picked up Syberia II today. That one is going to have to wait as I still have the original Syberia to get through.
To end the post, I sold my Wii today, so now the original XBOX is my LAST remaining system. I have about 15 games to play through. I won't be buying one for awhile. I truly now have realized that it is pointless to buy the newer ones (in my opinion of course). Hell Batman Begins looks pretty good graphics wise in my opinion.

My advice..skip Syberia and just play the sequel. As someone who played both, Syberia was a bad port with a ton of techincal glitches. Get it for PC if you have you have to play it. Syberia II was a lot better.

I still have Batman Begins from when Kmart was clearing it out for $1.50 and I need to actually slog through Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I bought that and Shadow Of The Collossus from Target a while back and I never did get through either.
Of course, I'm going to need to dust off my Xbox, since the PS3 has been getting all of the play time around my house lately. :-#

Syberia has always been an odd game with me. I really don't like playing adventure/puzzle focused games (though, I usually love the environments, so I end up buying them). I've started Syberia twice, put a couple hours in, really love the environment of the town, and then toss it to the side. I always swore I'd print a strategy guide, and then play through it just to see some of the later stuff in the game.
Always wanted to buy Syberia II also, but I always waited until I could beat the first one. Might have to get it now (well, after a bit of the backlog is done).

Haven't stopped playing Unreal Championship 2 on my Xbox, and don't plan to. Love UT, but UC2 just does things UT never has done, and no other FPS ever has as well.
Would still be playing with Morrowind occasionally if I didn't grab the PC version. Love MW on the Xbox, but DAMMIT are the initial loads, or when you die and reload times HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE.
Great, great game. Too bad more people don't know about it. Do you play on Live? If you do, do you usually see some people playing?

My brother and I were playing through The Warriors this weekend. A Very good beat'em'up in an age where beat'em'ups are a forgotten genre. We got a kick out of how bloody and bruised your characters become while fighting, and that they retain all the scarring in the immediate cinematics.

I just finished Splinter Cell: Pandorra Tomorrow maybe 3 days ago (probably one of the fastest games I have played- I think I started it and beat it in something like 1.5-2 weeks?).
Am playing through Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory now.
I bought the original Splinter Cell game right when I bought my xbox but never played it for maybe like 3 years. Then I finally got around to playing it and it was great. I picked up the above two SC games during an old GS B2G1 deal. Finally got around to playing them now- I have really enjoyed the SC series.
The graphics on Chaos Theory (or any SC game for that matter) are really pretty good- plenty "next-gen" for me!
After I finish Chaos Theory I will have two games left: Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and Fable LC. Then I will have played all my xbox games. Well excepting for those games that never end like Forza.

Let my brother take the original xbox, to use as a DVD player at our parent's house. I keep a couple games with it, that I am working through when I go to visit or do laundry.
1) Darkwatch
2) Star Wars: Republic Commando
3) Timesplitters 3: Future Perfect
As for my 360, I played through Psychonauts again. Also playing Street Fighter Anniversary, and wanting to play through Indigo Prophecy.

I have my Xbox 360 hooked up to our big TV downstairs, and my original Xbox hooked up to a TV in my room, so I still play my original Xbox quite a bit.
So far this year I've played Star Wars KotOR for a second time, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, Secret Weapons Over Normandy, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and I'm playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer Chaos Bleeds now.
I've only played one Xbox 1 game on my 360 this year, Indigo Prophecy, which was surprisingly good except for the last hour or so.
Oh man Buffy and KotOR are by far two of the best games for XBOX sure Halo is great for the shooter style be overall I think KotOR and Buffy provide more entertainment and story. Not to sway too far off but I'd love to get into the Rogue Squadron games again for the Gamecube I still need to replace my old Cube since my pooch broke mine by pulling it off the entertainment center when he was a puppy and we were playing.. oops.. no biggie on his part he was just a pup.. he gets a pass ;-)
I thought I was the only one who enjoyed the Buffy games. I''m glad to see there are a couple of other people out there that enjoyed it as well.

I just got KOTOR from Goozex today and played for about 2 hours.
I started this on the PC but got a Vista system shortly afterward and it didn't want to run properly (damn you microsoft). So, I played until just past the point where I left off. I've heard many great things about this game so I'm hoping the pace ramps up significantly soon. The graphics aren't as good, but since I've only got a Wii this generation, I'm used to it.

The first Buffy game was pretty critically acclaimed when it came out. People were expecting crap (I assume) and were pleasantly surprised. Sadly I don't have my Xbox hooked up because it is too damn big to fit where I need it to.

I'm about 4ish hours into a playthrough of KOTOR on my 360, and I was hoping that the "running while talking to someone" and "skippy audio" was just BC error-type stuff. Not that it helps me, but it makes me realize how people could call this GOTY material.
I'm still not sure why it got hyped as much as it did (just Star Wars Fanboys?) but then again, it doesn't help that I got lost for an hour or so of not knowing what to do/where to go, and then played that card game for a while too (i'm easily amused I guess).
I'm hoping things pick up soon (looks like I get a Wookie soon?) because I guess i'd rather be playing Mass Effect instead if it doesn't get any better. I just thought it would make more sense to play this first.....

Xbox games I wish I could play online again:
- Doom 3
- Time Splitters: Future Perfect (one of the most fun MP games ever)
- Far Cry: Instincts
- Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike
- Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
- Rainbow Six 3 series
- Counter-Strike
- Midnight Club 3: DUB
- Unreal Championship
- Halo 2
- Burnout 3: Takedown
If anyone wants to play, just shoot me a pm.

I have a 360 and a bunch of bc games (psychonauts, halo, halo 2, street fighter collection, fable:tlc, jade empire, kotor, doom 3 collectors, ninja gaiden black, etc.). I just never got into those games on the 360, because it felt like I should be playing something "new" to get my money's worth on the 360. Anyways, I have my new original xbox hooked up downstairs...it came with an rf cable so it looks pretty crappy. I'll play that when the kids are watching "The Wubzy Movie" on my 360/netflix player.

I plugged the green machine back in in the other day finally and played through Final Fight on the Capcom Classics Collection Volume 1. Man... the arcade is great, even though it's pretty much impossible to lose as you have infinite continues.
Now I'm on Tony Hawk 4, which I got for $1.50. I'm up to 150/190. It's tricky when you go back from American Wasteland and Project 8 and can no longer push off walls.

Yeah, I got 1-3 on the 64. I need to get 2x, 3 and THUG2 on the X-Box yet to round out my collection (then the two or three 360 ones). I'm loving 4, I haven't played it much since my friend got it when it was released (and then I borrowed it for a while when I got my X-Box). It's a lot tougher, imo, than most of the later games where I can do a million point combos. In 4, I think my most was in the very low 700k's.
EDIT: Broke a million with like 1.1k. Then broke it again on a glitch with 1.4k. I'm up to 175/190 tasks done. Just about to set it aside as I picked up THUG2 new for $5 at West Coast.

I believe the GB/GBC stop went into effect already. The store manager was telling me about it as I picked up Qix for some ridiculously low price like $1.99. Apparently, that store still sells a good bit, so he was told eventually they'd get leftovers from other stores.

Not playing on the original xbox, but playing it's games via 360. Each time there's a GS coupon for a % off on them I always get 2 or 3 titles so I got quite the backlog right now.....Plus now that I see my e-mail I may increase that backlog by a couple more titles, and if this GS clearing their stock holds up then I'll definitely be digging in some bins come march since we all know they'll be doing something good to clear out a majority of original xbox games. Maybe a buy 2 get 2 deal, or something along those lines?

Between pyoobez's Tony Hawk posts, the FYE sale, and Gamestop no longer taking trade ins of Xbox stuff, I've found myself in sort of an Xbox kick recently.
Been looking around for some cheap xbox games / multiplayer games lately.
I was able to find Midtown Madness 3 for $6 (loved this game), A controller for $10 shipped (or 2 for $18 shipped, bringing me to a total of 4), and some older sports games at FYE at $2 a peice. Can't beat it.
If anyone has some old xbox stuff they're looking to unload, send me a PM. I gotta get the Tony Hawk games again.
:edit: went to EB and FYE today. Picked up 6 sports games for $15. NCAA Football 06 (Used), NHL Hitz Pro (Used), Live 05, March Madness 05, FIFA Street, and Arena Football (new).
I found THPS4 non-ph, I was so pumped, but when I got to the cash register they said it wasn't for sale... someone tried to trade it in but they didn't accept it cause it was scratched to hell... I was kinda pissed, but oh well. The search continues...

I'm not sure what most of the prices are on the Tony Hawk games at gamestop, but they're dirt cheap on amazon. That's where I got a chunk of mine from. The shipping's the only bad part, but still... there's quite a few with case and playable shape for $1-ish.
Dunno if you've played Amped or Amped 2, but they're dirt cheap at gamestop and pretty fun. I got Amped 2 for $1.99 there a few months back and they had the first for .99.
I busted out Fable: TLC thanks to club.live now. The game's getting fun as it progresses, at first I didn't see what the "hubbub" was about. It's still not up to Morrowind, imo.

I made the mistake of playing Fable after playing Morrowind on PC. Hooboy, what a downer. Fable wasn't a bad game, but compared to Morrowind it was like a Playskool RPG.
A Playskool RPG with a surprising amount of gory, Resident Evil-style-blood-spurting-in-the-air decapitations, that is. That just freaked me out, considering the goofy big-foot silly-face Disneyeque character designs. Kind of like Mickey and Goofy lopping each other's heads off with machetes. :hot:

I went to GS the other day to check what was left over on their Xbox section. I was looking for Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded but I ended up coming out with Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Bard's Tale, Leisure Suit Larry MCL, The Punisher and The Guy Game.
GBTG is good, I'm sure my daughter will enjoy it.
LSL is a pretty funny game. Had a few laughs with it.
The Guy Game is what it is. Good for when you're drinking with buddies.
The Punisher is a classic. I already owned this game before but decided to buy it again.
Currently playing through Bard's Tale. Having a lot of fun with it.

Yeah. The thing that's getting to me is rescuing "your mother" so many times. She's getting as bad as the Princess from Mario.
Plus, the Combat is just not all that great. I just can't figure out how to properly switch targets, which leaves me killing civilians, guards and/or hostages and just generally getting beaten up by multiple guys a lot more than I should.
Fishing's been fun, though. As has using the bow to snipe heads from a distance.

Spent $50 so far on Xbox games this month. And thats crazy to me because I've tried to keep my purchases under $5.. Hit up GS again today, got the first 3 splinter cell games (was going to buy them for $20 on gametz, now i'm really thanking myself the guy was a douchebag and randomly decided to cancel the trade. Saved myself $11). Phantom Dust at $3, Midnight Club at $4. Passed on NBA Street V3, Madden 06, and PGR2. I've got way too many xbox games at the moment, a few still unopened. I picked up THPS4 here on CAG a few days ago as well, and that just came in. Man I forgot how much fun that game was.
I'm kinda kicking myself right now because I know a B2G1, or maybe B1G1 at gamestop is inevitable in the future, but what the heck. I'm not in the area I picked up those games too often, so I guess it's okay. The CAG in me would have liked to save a bit more cash though. :-P

I just finished Fable. Well, the main story mode. I haven't finished all of the side quests. Just a note I haven't read online... when you reach the last town for TLC, you can buy the house and then marry your neighbor who lives alone (I met her downtown so it was luck). Then you can purchase her house, although you can't fix it up, and rent it out for quick cash.
It grew on me a little more, altough it seemed pretty quick. Not sure what I'm gonna play next... I got Amped 2, Black, Max Payne, Fight Night 2, and some others I haven't messed with. Then again, I just got Proving Ground for the 360 as well.

I'm debating if I wanna hook up my Xbox to play some Mercenaries again, since I loved the original and just spent hours blowing crap up after I finished the main game.
Plus, I've got a bid in for a copy of Steel Battalion on an auction site. It comes with the ginormous box it originally came in AND the huge 40 switch/button controller.
If Gamestop around by me still had the damn thing I wouldn't need to go through the hassle of getting one shipped to me from someone on an auction site.
Then again, I'd also be paying $50 and probably getting a copy of the game with assloads of scratches on it.

That sums up my tastes in games pretty well as well. Although, I will say that I've had copies of not only Halo but also KOTOR AND Chronicles Of Riddick and I've hated all three universally.
Anything turn based is pure garbage to me. I tried one of the PS1 era Final Fantasies and after 30-40 minutes I was SO bored I was falling asleep.
I've had more than my fill of first person shooters as well going back to the Genesis era. In my opinion, aside from flashier weapons and prettier graphics, it's the same thing over and over, which could be said about any game genre really.
Yet, I'll still play every God Of War clone and every GTA clone that comes down the pike.
Mind you, I might tolerate a FPS or even a turn based game if it was only $5 or under, but paying full price? Hell no.

Now FREE software emulation, that I would take any day of the week. But from what I've seen thus far, that's never going to happen.
I mean, take a look at how long it took for the PS2 to drop to $100 as it is.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be able to make profits and all, but they should actually give a shit about those people who bought their crap for the past 14-15 years and keep or add emulation that'll allow us to play the physical copies of games we already own.
If they did want to charge a nominal fee($1 or so) for us to be able to play the disc versions of games we own, I might pay it, but anything over $5 for software BC and they could shove it up their ass.

What made the Xbox so great was its multiplatform titles -- often the best of the competition and typically (at least was) cheaper. To be honest, I feel the game has almost not evolved at all since 2. 3 was clearly a result of Sony paying Namco for an exclusive :-)
Kinda with you there. The AI in SC4 is either an idiot, or a cheating whore, not much of a balance there.
I recently finished up each story mode for every character in SC4 on :360:. Now going back to finish weapon master mode with Link in SC2 on :gc:, while starting my campaign with Spawn in SC2 on :xbox: this after wrapping up SC3 on :ps2: many years ago.
Soul Calibur 4 does have a nice roster of selectable characters; but Rock and Lizardman? wtf?! padding material. SC4 has a nice and wide variety of non-playable characters, but I have no idea how to recreate them identically in character creation mode.
It's definitely good to see the growing roster after each reiteration.

It's definitely good to see the growing roster after each reiteration.I need to finish up SC4. . . Spawn is awesome in SC2. Still haven't played 3 that much. I don't quite see how Rock and Lizardman are padding. Lizardman, while a variant of Sophitia, has been in the series since Calibur 1 on DC when he was unlockable after playing for a certain amount of time. And I've been playing Rock since Soul Blade on the PSX. We wore that game out. Rock and Taki are my best characters. I'd rather drop a Rock variant than Rock himself.
I haven't played an original Xbox game in years, however I just received Aggressive Inline the other day through Goozex and have been playing it a bit. I forgot how much fun the Acclaim "extreme" sports titles were. I may have to snag a copy of Dave Mirra 2 one of these days now.

After falling head over heels with Splinter Cell: Conviction, I've thought about booting up the old Splinter Cell games (I have the first three on XBOX) -- but something tells me I'm going to be disappointed ;-)
If the SC games don't do it, I might go back to the PoP trilogy or Fatal Frame 1 and 2 -- never played those (My FF2 is still sealed) -- problem is my lack of time. Odds are I'll start and never finish. :-(

My son played Halo 3, does anyone think I should buy Halo or Halo 2 or are they too old already and maybe he will not enjoy them? Do you think they are worth playing? I am going to pick up the new Halo reach for him.

I actually enjoyed the original two more than the third game. Then again, I played them both when they first came out in order. Halo 1 is my favorite but he might find it a bit simplistic compared to the third game. I liked Halo 2 for the online features but those are now long gone. They are cheap enough though, so it's not a horrible way to spend some cash.

For anyone playing KotOR II: How are the performance issues on the original Xbox?
I've been trying to go back through on the 360 and the framerate slows to single digits in basically every single damn fight so I'm just wondering if it'd be worth it to dig out the old Xbox instead.
Thanks in advance!

Morrowind is quite good, but compared to Oblivion the graphics make me want to stab my eyes out. Of course, a game like Morrowind doesn't need amazing graphics.
Of course, I stopped playing Morrowind a couple weeks after I got it because my character is in a glitch state now. He got his fatigue knocked all the way down (so any hit knocks him to the floor), and EVERYTIME I get back up to my feet I get punched again and knocked back to the floor. I can't teleport and can't get back to my feet to make it to the door, and don't have anything to replenish my fatigue, so I'm forever stuck getting punched and getting knocked back down.

I just had a nice renaissance with the system, finishing 007: From Russia with Love
007: From Russia with Love
Quick run-though, fun and easy to play. Not as intense as Everything or Nothing, but has some really fun "gaming" moments and holds up very well graphically. The voice acting is a highlight as Sean Connery reprised his role as the quintessential Bond. It's an action game that isn't terribly difficult with fair checkpoint system. Rarely was I ever upset with being finished off from an event that was out of my control. My only negatives stem from the driving controls on a few Istanbul levels where the car accelerates too fast and the directions are sometimes unclear. I'd anticipate the average gamer taking 6-8 hours to beat this.
I have a disc, manual, and cover art available that I'll send out for $1 + shipping.

Bumping this up. Where the OG xbox guys at?
Finally went through with turning my xbox into a completely set up media center (upgraded hard drive, movies and media, all cover art, "XTV" theme which is a take on Apple TV, tons of homebrew games, etc, its pretty bad ass). Been picking up systems for around $20 on craigslist over the years, but never really got into doing anything with them. I think I'm going to make a Texas Rangers themed box, repaint my current box with a longhorns theme, and maybe a few other projects. Good project for me to do over the summer, and not very expensive.
As far as the games, I've been playing a lot of NHL 94 if that counts. Keep telling myself I'm going to finish KOTOR, but I've probably played through the first few levels 100 times and never actually finished it.

Yeah, it's one of my all time favorite games, but I've played through half of it so many times.. Once I got pretty much near the end but all of my saves got deleted, except the one where I was literally 3 seconds from dying and there was nothing I could do.. So I started over and got pretty far, then my xbox died, etc. Between that and the PC version I've probably put like 100 hours into this game haha, but like you said, i'd have to do another playthrough and theres only so much time in a day.

I was never a huge fan of XBOX back in its heyday but I got a sudden urge to play Panzer Dragoon Orta a few weeks back and fired it up on my new TV (a Sony XBR960 HD CRT) using S-Video cables.
Holy hell did it look bad!
I did a little research and found out about the "High Definition AV Pack" adapter that lets you hook up the XBOX via Component and output 480p, 720p, and 1080i resolutions.
I found one on eBay for $11.50 shipped and it showed up this past Friday.
My games look amazing now! :)
Plus I've picked up quite a few games recently like Conker, Stubbs the Zombie, TRON 2.0, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Deus Ex 2 so I'm looking forward to trying them out in HD. :D

Fired up my NCAA Football 2006 dynasty the other day for the first time in a couple years. Over 450 victories , forgot how much I played that game (at the most, 50% of the games sim'ed).
If you didn't play it, in the '06 version, once you learn how to control the running back correctly and run the proper plays, it was pretty easy to dominate. Furthermore, if you started the dynasty with a few National Championships in a row, you could own the recruiting season and have a juggernaut team every single year.
After a few minutes of remembering how many college homework breaks this game was responsible for, I quickly remembered how I got booted by my create-a-school after like 20 some years of winning seasons, which kept me from surpassing Joe Pa's record of years at a school.
Seriously, how the fuck do you fire a coach who won you like 14 National Championships? Bastards.
Also started messing around in a new game of GTA3, but quickly got bored. I wish they would come out with an HD collection of the PS2/Xbox GTA's. I have it on PC, but the lack of true controller support irritates me. Plus trophies/achievements would be nice.

I have been playing a lot of XBox games lately, I keep buying more and more games because they are so cheap and really don't need so many games as I am up to close to 75 games.
MX vs ATV Unleashed, fun game but it is annoying in championship mode, each race has to be completed twice and the checkpoint racing is 5 laps which can take 15+ minutes per race.
Simpsons Hit and Run, ok but I gave up on it because I found it kind of tedious having so many missions collecting stuff.
Amped, I replayed this and got up to around rank 70 after that it got too difficult for me.
NFL Blitz 2003 and NHL Hitz 2003, just working on the season mode on both games. The mini games in Hitz 2003 are a lot of fun.
Arctic Thunder, much better than the arcade version with extra tracks
Midway Arcade Treasures 3, one of the greatest values of the past generation of games. Other than the save feature not working right on games like Hydro Thunder, this has become one of my favorite XBox games.

My friend and I have been having a blast playing any and all system link games for the old trusty Xbox through XBConnect and Xlink Kai.
I think the interface of XBConnect is better but NHL 2K3 doesn't work in XBConnect but does work in Xlink Kai.
For the FPS games, unless you want to play Halo 2, there's not many options due to lack of bots in most games. So the only games that have bots to make up for lack of gamers are the Serious Sam games and Unreal Championship. There's also the Ghost Recon series, the Rainbow Six series and these are great because of the co-op campaign.
For racing, the only game with system link and bots we can think of is TOCA 3 and MotoGP 3 and those are awesome games.
If any of you want to play Xbox1 games, let me know! My friend will definitely get in on the action too. Let us know what game you want to play and we'll get it.

It's good. An overlooked game - BioWare did a good job with story arc and character development. It also has one of the most emotionally charged scenes I've seen in a game.
The environments change, and look good, with lots of different color palates.
The combat is pretty simple, and matching fighting styles against enemies keeps the combat engaging. Transformations are pretty great, especially when you get the Jade Golem transformation and start wading through enemies like a Colossus.
