Thundercats CGI Film in the works!

This is the first I've heard of it but appearently it was originally thought to be a live action flick, and now its been clarified to be a CGI film, like TMNT.

It looks like Warner Bros. has a few things to clear up about their big-screen version of Thundercats (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thundercats). An article in the LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-et-webthundercats7jun07,1,1142147.story?coll=la-headlines-entnews&ctrack=1&cset=true) confirms that the film will be done entirely with CGI. It was just a few days ago the Patrick had reported (http://www.cinematical.com/2007/06/06/thundercats-ho/) that the series had been given the go-ahead for a film treatment with relative newcomer Paul Sopocy (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0814682/) on board to write the live-action script. Now, a spokesperson for WB confirmed that despite any talk of the contrary, the film would be animated. Which is probably for the best, since I can't see many big name actors willing to get into cat-suits, or wanting to play a Snarf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thundercats#The_Snarfs). Misperceptions about the film aside, WB is still planning on using Sopocy's script.

Fuck, every 80's cartoon had these ewok spin off Glomer looking mo-fo's. I just saw an episode of Dungeons and Dragons with these guys that are easily twice as lame as the Berbills. Or Robo-berbl.... eh, screw it. whatever they are called.

I thought their voices were kind of cool, though.

Somewhere there is an online map that fans made that actually shows how well thought out Third Earth was.. I love those early eps where they are just exploring the planet. And how awesome was Jaga's death scene. When you were that age, the only other place you could find death was on Robotech (at least on basic cable).

Oh.. and can I give a shout out to Pumyra... easily EASILY hotter than Cheetara... one of the more over-looked Saturday morning babes.
