Hey I just recently got FFXI for PC (loveit!) and was wondering if I could use a wireless 360 controller to play it?? Let me know!!

I doubt you can. AFAIK, the 360 controller does not have any button configurator thing yet, so the game has to natively support the controller. Then again, you could go sniffing around for some special drivers.
For FF, I would recommend the Logitech Dual Action pad (think that's what it's called). It looks exactly like a PS2 controller, and has its own button config thing. $20 wired, $30 wireless. Check it out at Target.

If the game supports controllers you can. And no, the game does not have to natively support the controller.
Here are some custom drivers posted in another thread which allow you to do more things with the controller : http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#download

you can use the controller for any game that supports controllers...the wired ones are direct plug and play but you have to have the wireless gaming receiver to use the wireless controller
