I'm down with a lower price, I wasn't exactly gnawing at the bit to get this game (even though it looks great).
Strange, the image you accidentally used for the game is Dreamcast's Age of Empires II (that even came out for the DC?).

That always happens with games in EB's database, as some unrelated old games' boxart shows up usually if there's nothing for the game you're linking to.

For what it's worth..
Apparently the Ant Bully, Happy Feet, Billy/Mandy, etc drops were errors and were fixed. MMR was in that list as well, but it has remained 19.99 new/14.99 used, and apparently will launch at the 20/15 point.

but for the game i'm just hoping the control is fun and that the puzzles have a good level of difficulty.

Since Play = Maxim in the reviews credibility department, it makes me more confident about the game, if anything. "Play gave Overlord a 9, so they're probably wildly off base here, too."

I'm completely confused on this game. I looked it up earlier this week on Gamestop's site and it was showing a release date of next week. I checked Best Buy and Walmart's sites as well and the release dates were all over the board.
Gamestop is now showing the game as being out, but Best Buy is showing 11/27/07!!
I'm going to be near a GameStop, Best Buy, and Target this afternoon so I'll see if I can find it somewhere.

7.5 From IGN!
It’s amazing how Wii has had a plethora of “budget” titles since its release nearly a year ago, with very few of those games actually charging the right price for that self-proclaimed simple experience. In Mercury Meltdown Revolution’s case, the game delivers $20 worth of content for $20; a novel idea. You’ll get over 150 puzzles to beat, each a mix of precision tilt gameplay, puzzle solving, and speed, as well as a few party games and basic bonuses like ghost challenges, local leaderboards, and replay saves. It isn’t a huge package, but it doesn’t claim to be. What it is, however, is a solid game design that bests titles like Kororinpa or Dewy’s Adventure.
If you’ve already put your time into Monkey Ball and are looking for another “tilt to move” title, Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a great game and an amazing value. You won’t find online, IR, or Mii integration, but you also won’t pay for them either; something most other products expect you to do with a smile on your face. Mercury Meltdown Revolution won’t be making any game of the year lists, but at $19.99 this one’s worth every penny. Stop the presses; someone actually gets how Wii works!

It IS playable, but the game gets hard rather quick and you have to move around faster which makes it pretty difficult to use the wiimote. The wiimote is harder to pinpoint exactly what you want to do as opposed to the classic controller.

i went down to gamestop and picked it up today. it's gets pretty hard pretty fast. if you're attempting to complete the levels within time. and there appears to be tons of levels.
i love the puzzles. trying to change colors and hit the points the fastest possible way. i really like splitting apart and coming back together. the bonus items are fun to find, and fun to figure out how to get. it's got pretty good camera control. far better then kororinpa. there are certain times though that i'd like to zoom in further and can't because of my seperated mercury.
i have to admit. i like the classic controller far better then the wii remote. i don't think that's a bad thing though. not all wii games need motion, just like not all ds games need touch screen. and having the option is the best way, so everyone get's what they want.
all in all i'm pretty happy. it's longer then i expected and more difficult. it'll be a real challenge. mind you, it'd be a lot easier without trying to get the bonuss and beating the time limit. but i don't plan on going that route.

Actually, I broke it out last night and my son played it. He could get through about the first 7 levels with the Wiimote and then I hooked up the Classic controller - MUCH easier. The biggest difference for him was that if he lets go of the analog stick the field levels and blob stops moving. He couldn't keep the Wii remote steady enough to not go careening all over the place. I helped him a bit and we got through about the first 1 1/2 labs. It is fun, but definitely not worth more than $20 (and a decent buy at the $9 I got it for - glad I didn't pay more).

Daroga - what will happen is that the kid will be playing some game with a timer or limited health and be fine for a while, then come and give you the remote with the game paused and either 2 seconds left on the timer or half a heart of health left and ask you to finish it for him because he's "stuck". It is a true test of your gaming skills ;).

So, is the game worth the $15-$20 price tag? My wife and I both loved Marble Madness, which was an arcade game using a tracball. Is MM comparable to that game? Better? Worse? Completely different?

It's not really the same, as there's a lot more to it than just getting the mercury from once end to the other, but there are some similarities. It's probably the difficulty and the need to be precise with the tilting of the stage to get from one end to the other, but you have more leniency since you don't need the whole blob of mercury to finish a stage. There's a lot of coloring going on in MMR, where you need to split up your mercury to get a specific color of mercury to move between sections of a stage. It can be quite hard, though I guess I need to get a CC to make it an easier experience. It's definitely a recommendation if that's something you're interested in.

Yeah, what Frisky said sums it up. I haven't really played any of the tilty marble games except Super Monkey Ball which I found frustrating and not a lot of fun (any of them). As Frisky says, this is a little more forgiving because you can lose parts of your blob and still continue on (where in a game like Monkey Ball you would have plummeted to your death). I haven't put that much time into it though.

I'm just trying to decide on some games for the Wii that I think my wife will enjoy too. I bought a Wii for the kids for this Xmas and took advantage of the TRU B2G1 sale purchasing the necessities for them and me ( LOZ:TP; MP3; RE4; Super Paper Mario; Godfather: Blackhand; SSBB; SMG; GH3) but I'm having trouble finding something she will play by herself other than GH3.
She's really into puzzle games and loves Picross, Brain Age, Sudoku games and crosswords.
Would you recommend either of the Trauma Center games?

I've never played any of them... Mercury is probably a good choice. There's also the Kororpina marble game which I'm waiting on a price drop to get. What about Zack and Wiki? That is a puzzle game of sorts. I have it but haven't played it yet. It is one of the best-reviewed Wii games though (4th on Metacritic after Zelda, RE4, and MP3) and is something she may very well like. Oh, and if she likes Brain Age you may want to get Big Brain Academy. I had a lot of fun with it - for a very short time (and haven't played it since). But it has a lot of replayability and some multiplayer options.

I've played through the first lab, not too bad. The puzzles are clever, and there's plenty of them to go through. The control isn't as tight as I would have liked, I'm used to the direct sensitivity of Super Monkey Ball.
I find the 1-player "Party Games" quite silly. Still, an excellent value.

looks like Amazon.com dropped it to $17.99, guess I have to get my $2 back.

i'm finally starting to get back into this game. i took a little time off to play zack and wiki. i'm about half way through meltdown down. it's getting much harder. and i'm really really enjoying it. the 17th level of the labs are always my favorite. they get very very crazy.
