This is utter bullshit. I can't believe they are doing this. I uninstalled STEAM not more than an hour after I installed, even though it took almost 6 hrs to get it. Thanks Valve. No, really.

Not cool at all, I have both 1.5 and steam, but I never use steam because I have been biased against it ever since it began (I had a beta of it and hated it).

I FUCKING HATE STEAM!!!
No matter what I did, I could never join a server. I still am in awe of this. Why, why, WHY would they do this?
I guess I can kiss Natural Selection goodbye. Man Valve, you are just full of good news lately.

6 hrs? I downloaded and re-installed Steam and CS in literally under 5 minutes...

What the fuck is wrong with you people?
WON is an archaic system that costs a lot to keep online.
Steam is the future, and it works perfectly.
Nobody forced you to use the beta, and it didn't work because it WAS A FUCKING BETA!
You hardheads really need to shut the fuck up and download steam. Its more reliable and allows for better anticheat systems than WON.

man 1.5 gave me so many problems, Thank god for steam. I don't know how so many people have problems with it. I'm running a 800mhz computer and steam runs fine on my system.

I wish people would play something fucking else besides Counter-Strike.
The 700mb version of Steam with the cached games works fine.
Be sure to right click the games in the game menus and uncheck automatically update or else steam will use all your bandwidth.

Argh, curse you Steam! I had both 1.5 and 1.6, but I played 1.5 more often, mainly because it just rules.
Now I will be forced to move over to 1.6, permanently.
