So "clarkfan" sent me a defective UMD game (Brotherhood). I told him about it, and sent it back. THREE WEEKS LATER, he still doesn't respond, so I send him an email letting him know I've started a claim w/ Half.com. I get this back:
"Dude, seriously, be patient. You don't need to escalate it to a claim. I sent out another fuckin one today, just like I said I would. Damn, some people are soooo impatient. When you get it, cancel the fuckin claim, I don't want that against my account. "
Fun guy! Must have just broken up with his girl/boyfriend lately...poor bastard...
I'd still report him haha.

The crazy thing is, he's got impeccable feedback!!! His last negative feedback, though, was pretty funny, because he responded with something to the effect of, "This ebayer is one of the stupidest b!tches ever!"
I think maybe he has anger management issues... the FREAK!

lol, your story reminds me of an uptight ebayer i just dealt with. i paid for an auction i won on the same day it ended and waited for him to send it out. i waited almost a month before i left him a negative. i e-mailed him countless times with no response too. after i neg him, he leaves a retaliatory neg feedback (i don't really care), and said i was being an impatient bitch for not waiting 2 months for him to send it out! that guy is nuts LOL!

LOL, if he actually called you a bitch you can probably get ebay to remove that.

Update - ebay "took appropriate action" regarding his inappropriate email, but wouldn't tell me what they did. They also wouldn't remove his negative (retaliatory) feedback which included his opinion that I was a, "waste of space." Which, while pretty funny, doesn't really address his complaint with me...whatever.

I have just the opposite thing going on. I sold a phone, buyer returned it, left part of it out, and now won't respond to any of my emails trying to get a compromise settled. You'd think when I hold not only the phone but the money too that they'd get back to me.

I've got something like this going on too - I've got one last thing to ship, it's packed, it's ready to go, buyer told me they'd pay Monday and still no payment, and I've sent two emails basacially begging for payment so I can ship this item out to them ASAP.
Most buyers have trouble getting the seller to ship in a reasonable amount of time, I'm trying to get paid so I can ship it out instantly! The minute I get the money I am slapping a label on the box and dropping it off at the outside drop box, I don't care whether it's 3pm or 3am it's leaving as soon as I get payment.
Ha, as soon as I wrote this, I got paid, so I guess off to the post office with me ;)

That's why I love half.com. Sure, there's a bigger fee to ebay...but they pay you UP FRONT. It's worth it, to me. Of course, you can't sell non-book or non-game items...

You can set up Immediate Payment Required on a BIN on Ebay and they have to pay before they even win the item ;)
It's a really nice feature, I didn't have one NPB since using it.
As Barry (RE) would say: "He's insane!"

I bought an item from someone a few years ago that I had to pay for with a cashier's check, and it was confirmed through my bank when he cashed it. I sent him a few emails telling him that I knew he received the check and had already cashed it, but he argued that he never received it. After filing a complaint with ebay, he sent my item an entire two months later.
The other negative I have resulted from a transaction where the seller sent me fake "bonus" items. I left him positive feedback, but I said that the bonus item he sent was counterfeit and he should look into it. He left me negative feedback, saying, "AWFUL BUYER VERY SLOW PAYMENT SELLERS BEWARE DMINUSMINUS". I paid immediately with Paypal, and the whole transaction took three "very slow" days.
My opinion is that you should avoid most online auction sites unless you have certification declaring you capable of dealing with the mentally challenged. You usually need it.

It's the whole "it takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch" theory. I've had dozens and dozens of good transactions, but whenever I have a really bad one (like this), it makes me want to dump the whole online auction thing.

Got you beat. Had a guy claim some manga i sold him was "broken" 3 months after he bought it. Claimed entire chapters were missing and I had attempted to glue the books togethor??? It's sorta easy to notice ifa book is missing chunks of pages.....
I politely laughed and told him to go *beep* himself.

Update - Half.com gave me a refund and let me keep the replacement item clarkfan sent me (the one w/ the sharpie marks all over it). Thought that was pretty cool of them. They said, "consider it a gift from half.com."
