monitor help, 420p support?

how do you know if your monitor supports 420p?
i have a samsung 226BW

and
a compaq CRT monitor, it's around 3 years old so i cant even find a link to it. it played my 360 games pretty well. so im guessing it supported at the most 720p
im getting a ps2 transcoder that upgrades it from its original 420i to 420p. i just wanted to know if any of these 2 monitors support 420p. thanks

I never heard of 420i or 420p. You probably meant to say 480i and 480p. Both your monitors should support those signals from your VGA transcoder, since they have even lower resolution than 720p.
