I went to 8 Targets in Northern, VA and DC, and I picked up about 10 copies of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for GBA at each store for $4.97 - they just scanned the UPC and it was the same price across all the stores. These games did not have the red clearance sticker, and some stores had them in the shiny glass case, and not on the $19.99 sales rack, while others did.
I gave most of these to my various nephew's for gifts, but if anyone wants one, I can either trade or talk about $$ (cost of time).
Good luck.
P.S. I sent some of my friends in Boston to go and get this deal, and they got it as well...no idication it was that price, sitting in glass shelves.

I am still inclined to believe that it is YMMV, as this is a known clearance item. I picked it up for $10ish a couple of weeks ago on clearance.

It could still be YMMV. Just because stores in VA and DC have em for that price doesnt mean one in Cali or Texas will. Unless of course its in a national ad. Also, at two different Targets in the Houston area Ive seen top spin for 15 and 20, so even in the same city it could be YMMV.
I'll check my local Target here in Minnesota and see if it comes up the same. I noticed they had a bunch on clearance for $10 a few days ago, wouldn't suprise me if they dropped the price even more.

I owned this game when I had a GBA, and I thought it was really great. If it's only $4.99 now, it is truely a steal.

PM sent regarding this. Thanks.

Too bad I spent $10 on this just 2 weeks ago. Oh well, can't really complain for a great game.

There was one left at the local Target on Wendsday. It's probably gone now though. ><

I live in Northern Virginia, right next to DC. Did you pick up all the copies? And which Targets did you visit?

I went to Fairfax, Reston, DC (River Rd), and one in Centerville.

I saw it for around $10 at the Target in Seekonk, MA a couple weeks ago but didn't know if it was any good. I checked reviews and decided to get it, and all were gone. They were in a small endcap, seperate from the clearance games, along with some old, crappy licenced GBA games.

while it may be possible that it will ring up at this price nationwide, it is still ymmv in the sense that not all targets will have the game in stock. my local target clearanced them out fairly recently at $9.98 (and it's likely that they did this at many more target stores), and since it was a clearance game, they will not be restocking it.
my point is that this probably should have gone in the target clearance thread since it is target clearance deal.

My local Target had it for $13.XX. I decided not to pick it up at that price.

My Target has the same price on it. I didn't pick it up, but last time I saw it there were still 3 copies left. They weren't even kept near the video games actually, but near the DVDs and PC games.

My local Target in Texas had them for $9.98 as well, but they were marked at $19.99, so it was still a pleasant surprise. I picked one up anyway, since I figured it was worth the $9.98.
