OK as you all now the Limited Edition version of Bioshock is coming out for $70. It comes with sweet box art, a Big Daddy figurine, a soundtrack, and a behind the scenes DVD. It's a game I can totally see myself spending the extra $10 on for all that awesomeness, plus the LE is a GS/EB exclusive and the LE will probably be sought after and the game is probably going to be so good so its cool.
Here comes the dilemma though, freaking liongames.com is selling the regular version for $40. Now what would you do/are you doing? $30 is quite a considerable amount of dough.
I'm puzzled because I want the limited edition.

Yep, this LE will be just as sought after as the FF 12 LE, another EB / GS exclusive.
Hey, wait a minute...

Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence and Resident Evil 4, hmmmmm
edit: then again I can use that $30 to be $10 away Halo 3 at liongames.com
edit x2: Does anyone know what shipping is like from liongames.com? How long from release date do you get your game?

MGS 3 Subsistence wasn't an EB / GS exclusive, it was also at Gamecrazy.
The RE 4 Collector's Tin isn't worth that much over what it cost new, especially if it's used.
EB / GS tend to overproduce the "exclusive" limited editions by an assload. You will never see more than the $70 + tax it will cost to buy this, so don't buy it thinking you're going to see it rise in value. They certainly aren't going to underproduce them.

Subsistence is rare or something?
I saw a few of these for sale over at Frys.
Oh, nvm. LE edition.

notice that both Halo 2 and Final Fantasy XII were called "Collectors Edition" not Limited Edition. While Resident Evil 4 was actually called Premium Edition and Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence was "LIMITED Edition" so it could be that since Bioshock is called Limited and not collectors it may really be Limited. lol

I just don't think EB is dumb enough to underproduce something which will get people coming into the store on a regular basis - that doesn't really seem feasible when Joe Schmo goes "Wow, EB has a limited Bioshock? I think i'll go there" only to find out he needed to come in a month ago to preorder to even get the chance at grabbing it.
He'll then go back to Best Buy where they have 100 copies on the shelf and never really bother with EB / GS again.

I'm not looking to resell. Unless I don't like it which I highly highly doubt. Again, anyone know what liongames.com's shipping is like?

Or you could just rent it for $7, play it like hell, then return it to the store. And if you ever wanna play it again for nostalgic purposes, buy it used for about $20 in 2 years.

Well put Roufie. There's no way it'll be limited because they know it'll sell and they know they have the exclusive rights to it.
