Vampire Rain - Any Thoughts?

I just ordered this game early from play-asia because it sounds like a great game... supposedly a Metal Gear/Splinter Cell cross-over game. It releases July 3rd i believe, but it has been out for a while in the orient.

Well i was just wondering if anyone else has played it and their thoughts... becuase i think it looks awesome.

This is the worst game I have ever played on 360. The demo is on the Japan Marketplace.

Loading, Graphics and control all the worst I have seen on my fav. system.

I was unimpressed with what I saw at gametrailers.com. Enough so to not really care to try the demo.

Well i hope it all goes a little better for em being that i like this genre a lot...

all the reviews that i have seen have sounded pretty possitive but i guess i will see when it hits my door here in a week or so

OMG this game is shit. The environment is almost totally static, you can't interact with it. Half the game is "sneak" mode where you travel linear paths trying to stay out of site of the dumbest looking vampires I've ever seen. If they see you for more then a second, you die. Then when you get a weapon, they basically walk single file at you until you have killed them all. I mean Jesus, its bad. I love vampires, but they just shit over the entire concept. Dialogue is bad, graphics are actually pretty poor, even in HD. Just ewwww.

And yet I still must scratch my head why SOLID stuff from Idea Factory will not hit here but SHIT like this will. Ugh. throws Spectral Force 3 for the 360 at OP instead. Give that a try please.
Seth I'm starting to think Cavia are just godawful programmers. When you have a powerhouse like the 360 and you can only do at most PS2 level graphics in a game or worse as I'm seeming to hear from graphics reviews on this game, I question how good your programming ability is. Sounds to me like "Vampire's Rain" should be $20 or even LESS for a 360 game.

I have yet to see a retail game look as though it were made for the PS2. For the most part i've seen crappy games with graphics just slightly better than the Xbox but for the most part, i agree, many of these sub-par games should be prices at $29.99 at the most. Anyone remember when 2K (i think) were releasing PS2 and Xbox games at $20 each brand new?! I wouldn't mind seeing the same for some PS3 and 360 games coming out at $40 brand new...

yeah STAY AWAY from this game. If you are really itching to play it I would download the demo from the Japanese Marketplace to try it out (to setup a Jap account just google it). Anyway even after just trying the demo I felt like I wasted two minutes of life playing it.

Save yourself the money and pick up a game like The Darkness or Bioshock if you are looking for a game to play this summer on 360.

I'd suggest waiting till "Mass Effect" or buying "Blue Dragon" instead or possibly "Culdcept Saga".

you should just wait a few days and rent. But the demo sucks. There's some video's on Youtube some guy made of him going through all the levels with A ranks.
I love the demo, seeing the guy getting killed and how the people go from normal to jumping zombies is awesome.
