Questions on streaming media

I have a couple of questions about streaming media to my 360

1. All this does is allow me to play music, see pictures, and watch videos that are on my PC?

2. If I connect my PC to my 360 with an ethernet cord, how in the hell to I hook either one of them to my router?

3. I would like to just hook my PC up to the router and hook my 360 to my PC, do I have to have wireless to do this? (kind of the same question as #2)


I hope there isn't another topic on this, but hopefully I can get some solid answers here. Sorry I'm a noob at this and was just curious about giving it a try.

you dont connect the pc directly to the 360....you connect each to a router...they can be wired, wireless or any combination of the 2...i run XP Media Center Edition on my PC...here's my setup...

you dont connect the pc directly to the 360....you connect each to a router...they can be wired, wireless or any combination of the 2...i run XP Media Center Edition on my PC...here's my setup...
