I had those two accounts for 11 days, and no invites. I don't think they'll ever send anymore out.

I don't think they are sending out new ones either - I got my account over a month ago and no luck with new invites...

I was under the assumption that every new account came with 6 invites off the bat. I still have 5.
Perhaps they are more valuable than I thought they were.

Why are people so worked up about bloody G-
mail? It's just the umpteenth web mail service.

mail? It's just the umpteenth web mail service.
Why? Because it's worlds better than the others. It's got the best interface by far - the ideas of "Conversations" and of archiving messages are bloody brilliant for free web-based e-mail, and that gigabyte of storage doesn't hurt either. On top of that, the only ads are text-based and not very obtrusive.
GMail is the best free e-mail out there. That's why. :D

It's still just web-based e-mail. It's doing nothing I haven't had for 10 years.
