Has anyone had any experience with these? I'm really interested due to the fact I'm in a apartment and the wife doesn't appreciate me blasting the sound all the time. I've been checking out the Tritton AX360 and the medusa's...any help?

I bought the Sony surround sound headphones because they are wireless. Pretty damn impressive, plus they've never given me a problem.

It's a gimmick. Make sure you try them first.

I use my receiver instead. Ive got a small hometheater in my living room. It doesnt matter if you have one or not. A good receiver will do surround sound with headphones connected to it. I do this if I want to crank the sound and not wake everyone up.

Junk. A better solution would be to buy a Dolby Headphone adapter (~$90) or receiver or something and pair it with a good regular pair of headphones.

I agree. I don't know if surround headphones really work but they are often just cheap, low-quality headphones that rely on the "surround" gimmick to sell. I'd suggest you go the Dolby Headaphone route or at least just get a pair of good heaphones. They will be comfortable and sound way better. If you don't want to get the Dolby Headphone adapter, just spend money on a quality pair of headphones and you'll be fine.

I always wondered how these work. How exactly do they reproduce the center and rear channels with two headphones pressed against your ears?

Uh guys, I think you may have misinterpreted the guys question a bit. He isn't looking for regular surround sound headphones, but headsets, which ahd mics at the end.
