Interview happens around 21 mins, reminds me quite a bit of the Dyack Silicon Knights thing w/ EGM live.
No P.R. B.S., no “message” to wade through, no fluff. On this week’s show, we’re kind enough to be joined by one of our all-time greatest guests, FASA Studio Head Mitch Gitelman, who stops by to talk VERY candidly about Shadowrun and the world’s reaction to it. Even if you have no interest in the game itself, the conversation steers into a compelling dialog about review scores and the game creation process. DO NOT miss this interview!

What'd he say?
Whines about reviewers giving him crappy scores and not looking at the "value" of his game. BTW this is over an avg score of 7/10
in the process of listening...
wait... a single player game that releases a multiplayer game that's stripped version w/o the lighting? I think he's taking pot shots at Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter LOL :D

60 bucks? Online only for the real content? Real content consists of nine maps? Great "value" there buddy.

wow, in a the process of listening. So now he's justifying his game's price with a moment that you glide and headshot somone......
Man, back in Quake 2 you could rocket jump and rail somone and get the same experience...............
Or how about rocketing somone in the air and then LGing them in Quake 1........... This guy sure is full of himself. Stylized killing has been around long before shadowrun buddy....
oh yeah, and then there's this image

The developer is upset because he feels his game is good, which it is.
Reviewers are upset cos the game is overpriced and doesnt include enough content, which is also true.
A more polished version of this game, with more maps, priced at $40, would get 8's and 9's and I'd be playing it right now.

Yep.
If the game shipped with double the maps, I'd be there.
If they dropped the stupid cross platform connectivity which only served to stifle all interest and future modding of the PC version, I'd be there.
If they didn't release 3 months before Halo 3, other people would be there.
How much free shit has Circuit City given away to get people to buy this game for the PC? I think it's been three weeks running they've either given something away, or given the game away. Never really a good sign.
This game could be the best game in the world but they botched the fuck out of it, and in all honesty, I blame the cross connectivity bullshit. If you dropped this on the PC, with a map editor, without the Live bullshit, this game would have had a cult following for years, maybe more. I've heard this is Counterstrike with magic, and CS is played for years but that's mostly because of the modding community - the same damn thing could have happened here.
Instead, you tie it to a service most PC gamers don't like and don't like to use, you make it dependent on playing 360 users (no option for PC only games) so to get any sort of fun out of it you have to pay $50 or whatever for Live Gold, and you give them no sort of modding tools whatsoever. Then they are going to release a map pack (maybe) and expect PC users of all people to pay for maps?
This game would have been so awesome if they did what they did with Halo 2 and just make the two games seperate and take full advantage of their platforms.

the biggest problem is that his justification that he should get a higher score is because HE feels it's innovative and HIS team worked REALLY HARD on it.....
It doesn't matter... all that matters is the end product.
