[Canada] Cheap games @ Walmart

I stopped by walmart yesterday because I had some time to kill before work, and I had heard about the 10 cent copies of lumines that are available at some stores (RFD (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=457424)). I was looking through their bargin bin, and to my surprise there were quite a few quality xbox titles for really cheap. I personally picked up Splinter Cell Double Agent and Phantom Dust (both are backwards compatible with 360) for only $6.83 each. But there were other games in the bin that I knew others would like (eg. NHL 07 and other present year sport games).

And if you happen to own Double Agent on the 360, the one for xbox is drastically different. It was programed by the original splinter cell team (#1 and chaos theory) and is generally regarded as the better of the 2. Thanks in part to the inclusion of the co-op mode. The levels are different and even the story is different. And for $6.83 you really cannot go wrong.

PS - never found lumines though...

Yep, you can... it's on the list... I had trouble finding it too.

You probably didn't notice it because for some reason they don't have "Tom Clancy's" in front of it.

It runs very well on the 360 for anyone who may be wondering.

The Xbox games I remember at my Wal-Mart:

- Far Cry Instincts
- Still Life
- Superman Returns
- Midway Arcade Treasures 2
- Splinter Cell Double Agent
- True Crime NYC (Both Regular and Special Ed.)
- Raze's Hell

I didn't see Phantom Dust though.

I also saw the two PS2 games someone mentioned above, and I *think* Jak X was there too (but I could be mistaken on that). Ape Escape 3 was another one.

The Xbox games were $6.xx and the PS2 games were $9.xx.

At RFD there's a big thread on $0.10 games. Apparently if you remove the Wal-mart UPC you can get SC: DA for XBOX for $0.10, along with some other Ubisoft titles. YMMV, though.

I saw some cheap Xbox games there too, most notably Raze's Hell and Legacy of Kain: Defiance. I was pretty upset, however, upon finding out that Defiance isn't BC :/ I suppose I could play it on my friend's Xbox which he never takes home.

Other games were Far Cry, Advent Rising, WarPath, Pariah, some poker games... yeah.

After going to many Wal-Mart in the Montreal area, I found 1 copie of «Heroes of Pacific » for Xbox and 2 copies of King Kong for Xbox at 10 cents each.

Most stores were «cleaned out » already...

Sometimes it is bad when the title is on clearance at 10 cents for Xbox, but not for PS2, and as it can be predicted easily, the store only has PS2 copies of the game.

Haha I guess that's the case, eh? I can go through an entire bin of $19.99 games at Zellers, find a bunch of decent games, yet not buy any of them because they're all $19.99. :D

The TRU BOGO sale was back in early April.

anyone able to get any of these .10 cent games want to post a some reciepts so other like myself can try to price match i tried the ones i saw and they scanned at 6 something and didnt show in the system otherwise

the 6.93 games have a special white upc sticker, that is like a generic sku. if you find the games at 18.98 without the white sticker, its those at 10 cents. rfders quickly wiped these out. check your walmart. mostly ubisoft titles,(gonna mention it to ubi tomorrow, see if they know).
