What's the hold up on the 65nm chips.
Did they ever actually announce this or was it just a hoax.

supposed to come in fall...I would imagine they probably had a surplus of the older chips, along with the channel stuffing they did, which is preventing the need for the new smaller chip units to be shipped...I am pretty sure they said they went into production with the smaller chips in june, and it would arrive in stores this fall

Even if it was in the works they wouldn't announce it until either the last possible moment or not at all until they were sure no remaning 90nm systems were on the shelves.
Sales of current 360's would effectively tank in anticipation. Planned properly, it's a manageable situation, though.
