As you know... Sony announced a week or two ago that they were stopping production on this item...

and as you might know... prices for this item at Sears have been dropping for the past six months.....

but today... as luck would have it... the item was completely closed out of their system.... and as more YMMV luck would have it....
I was given mine for the lowly price of just $0.01.

This pretty much defines YMWV... but expect huge prices slashed and crazy instances for this item to be happening all over the place now... starting at Sears.

if i were you... and i really wanted it... head to your local sears for opening time tommorow (saturday)

ask to buy one.... have them scan it in... have them go "huh.. its not coming up..."
then cross your fingers... and pray for a miracle...
by luck... my cashier said that when that happens... they are to have been cleared out already... and that technically... if it doesnt show in the system... it means the last price on it was $0.01... so he just typed in the price and misc item... and
boom!

That means the item is zeroed out, some stores will sell it at the very last price it was before the "zero" status took effect. depending on the store this could range anywhere from 20.00 to .001, I know at my local store it was 15 and change. Stores don't always have to sell them either after they get Zeroed out, so this is a huge YMMV, good luck to all.

Yes and no. No, it will not directly attach in any way (except ducktape). Yes, you can buy adapters to attach the screen to the ps2, and the monitor itself has its own power.

you are exactly right joystickz, there are way too many nay-sayers when a good deal shows up and no one else can get in on it. I tried to help everyone out when I posted the PSOne LCD/Combo that I got for $30. what did I get in return for posting about the deal? a bunch of responses bitching about wasted time and questioning my honesty, requesting scans of my receipt, etc. for all the looking everyone did at the time, that was apparently the only combo that showed up at that price out of every Sears store that was checked.

but that doesn't matter. in case anyone hadn't really thought about it more than the four letter acronym that it is, YMMV means Your Mileage May Vary. put bluntly, it means the deal may vary to the point that you don't get in on it. YMMV does NOT mean everyone wants to see you whine and complain after you couldn't get in on the deal, the world is full of stuff you missed out on. go find your own deals, then come back and tell us how much great stuff you found at great prices, we're all ears. if I can get it on it too, cool. if not, I'll either be looking for other good deals or outside enjoying the summer, not typing in complaints about wasted time on an internet forum.

Screw everyone else...you got one for a penny and you were nice enough to post it here about it (the whole point of these forums). After being lucky enough to get a combo at the Target clearance for 30 something I have to say that is one awesome deal. It is definitely a top notch screen. Enjoy it!

Right now, no. I live in MN at the moment, but I grew up in Oak Lawn and was back in town for the weekend. I will be moving back to IL in September. I'll be in Lockport so that'll be relatively close to Orland Mall.

BTW...I checked Chicago Ridge too....$69.97. :(
