Yea, mines going uber slow, so I just popped in Shadowrun. God I love this game.
I need to play some more Darkness soon. I had to stop back at CC because I forgot I had a 15.00 giftcard from a Pirates of the Caribbean deal last month. Darkness for 35.00 FTW!

I didn't get a chance to play that yesterday due to after getting off work I fell asleep and then went and saw Die Hard...good stuff.
Will be playing tonight though while the update downloads. I need to get further in it. You up for some possible multiplayer tonight?

It's totally addicting, and has a solid single player (although I wasn't a fan of how it ended)
The multiplayer is great, but Gears kind of overshadowed it for me. I hope to get back into it soon.

Cool news about having a decent single player mode.
I was watching the Gametrailers review of the 360 version and they said the gameplay is better than Gears in every way. What do you think about that comment?
I'll probably have to get a mic for it though for when I play online. :-P

I should re-phrase that. My one roomate and I were addicted (Gears is so much fun with a friend) but he had no interest in Vegas, so I played that by myself.
Crap, do you guys realize...
Ninja Gaiden - Early July
Metroid Prime 3 - Late August
Halo 3 - Late September
GTA IV - Mid October
Guitar Hero 3 - November.
Jesus it makes my head spin, and I know I'm missing some ps3 games there, but I'm not sure on the dates. Not to mention I left off Mario and Smash Bros.

I'm playing Grand Theft Auto Liberty Cities Stores. I just entered the third and final city (I think its called Shoreline Vale or something like that). This could be the very first GTA I completed.
The other day I just popped in Brothers-in-Arms Road to Hill 30 but I didn't get very far. I'm used to the run-and-gun shooters so this is a new experience for me (using strategy and stuff).

Playing the Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM demo on my PS3. OMG, that demo fucking rocks so much. I completely shit my pants being able to control Heero from Gundam Wing, and then coming across other Gundam characters in battle. I've already played the demo twice and want to play again.
Otherwise, I've just been playing lots of PSP, like my Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire III Euro versions. Playing Twinbee Portable Asia also (looking to get Salamander Portable soon).

Bought 5 games today, it's a vertiable RPG lovefest -
Yggdra Union
Grim Grimoire (which was the last copy at TWO different Gamestop's I went to, so it's selling fast it seems)
Etrian Odyysey (last one at the store I got it from too)
Final Fantasy PSP
Hoshigami Remix

I thought you bought Yggdra Union before? I could be wrong, since I lose track. ;)
I already have way too many RPGs to beat (despite downsizing my collection, still more to come), but I'm looking to get FF PSP and maybe Grim Grimoire. Can't decide on Hoshigami Remix yet though (always wanted it on PS1).

I'm trying to rub through Hour of Victory so that pile of crap can rot on the shelf.
Besides that, I'm slowly working through The Darkness. I'm borrowing my brother's Wii to play through the extremely dusty copy of Super Paper Mario that was sitting on my shelf.
Grim Grimoire (which was the last copy at TWO different Gamestop's I went to, so it's selling fast it seems)
Hmmm.. Advance buzz on this was that it sucked. But now I look at Metacritic and I see a respectable 80 average:
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps2/grimgrimoire
I have an extra Puzzle Quest that I was forced to buy at Gamecrazy with their trade-in deal. Now I know what I can switch it for today (hopefully they have it!) ;).
It's only $39.99, too! Damn... I'll definitely pick it up. Maybe it is too new for the EB/GS locator, but it is showing 0 copies at the 22 EB/GS stores within 30 miles of me ;) (It also says "Yes" for "more on the way", so maybe it is just not updated with their initial shipment). I'd prefer Gamecrazy, but EB/GS will be my backup.

I downsized my RPG's a ton, and these are the only 5 games I'll have to play for the next 2 - 3 months, so that's why it's 5 RPG's ;)
I was actually waiting for Yggdra Union to drop to $20, but I noticed it was disappearing fast, found a Gamestop that had it new today, and it ended up being $20 after all
I'm also bringing RE 4, Super Paper Mario, Odin Sphere, Puzzle Quest, Clubhouse Games, 1 or 2 PC games, and Tomb Raider Anniversary. That's gonna get me through the next 3 months.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (PS3)
Tekken: Dark Resurrection (PSP) - For whenever I'm out and about...
Battle Stadium D.O.N. (PS2 JPN)
On the not yet released side...
Blue Dragon (360) - Just started this yesterday, amazing so far.
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP) - Been playing this for awhile, if you're a fan you can't pass this game up.
Persona 3 (PS2) - So far, this gets my vote for RPG of the year... I'm in love with this game... But I'll have to hold my official vote until after I play through Blue Dragon...

I'm juggling quite a bit...
On the DS we have Minish Cap and Etrian Odyssey, both of which are just started - thought Minish Cap was awesome, but now Etrian seems awesomer...
Console-wise, Rogue Galaxy has been put on hold in lieu of RE4 (stupid village) - unfortunately the wife doesn't enjoy me playing RE4, so that one will now likely take me a few months to complete, since I can only play it on Wednesdays and weekends. Lame.
After reading up on Grim Grimoire, its sounding like a must-have just on principle. A well-implemented 2D RTS? Wow. I still need to find a good opportunity to buy Odin Sphere and Okami as well, those are really my only desired PS2 purchases left. Hitman Trilogy will find its way on my shelf once its clearanced.
Chances are I'm going to look at getting a PSP for Christmas to catch Disgaea (dependent upon NIS ends up putting on DS), and the assortment of other RPGs that will be hitting it in that time frame. I could almost just sell my damn consoles. :D

Playing New Super Mario Bros all the time on my commute to NYC. The game is so perfect for train trips. I take a train for 25 minutes then a 30 minute subway. I don't take it out on the subway for obvious reasons but the train is so perfect. The levels are short, loads times aren't existent, and sleep mode. I'm on the 5th world I believe. I don't know what DS game is next because I'm working in the city for the entire summer.
I'm also thinking about becoming an almost exclusive DSL/PC gamer. I have my PC with small monitor in one corner of my room and my LCD HDTV with my 360 in the other. I think I'm going to get rid of the old computer, stand, and small monitor then build a new computer and hook it up to the LCD HDTV. I'm thinking for all good sports games like the NBA 2k series and also 360 exclusives like Halo 3, Mass Effect, etc. I will buy it for the 360 and keep the 360 in the den and all multiplatform PC/360 games will be bought for PC.
I'll save parts like my DVD burner and hard drive and keep myself at a $500 budget to buy stuff like RAM, CPU, video card, etc. You can set yourself up real nice at newegg even with a $500 budget.

I'm in the same situation as you, picking up both of those games.
RE4 will probably be in my collection forever, as it is a 'legendary' game. However, I can't see myself playing through the Darkness more then once, especially come this fall when way better games are coming out.
However, it's a shame, because The Darkness is an awesome game. IMO, while the multiplayer is a nice distraction, it can't hold a candle to Gears, Vegas and Shadowrun or Resistance, so I won't be putting much time into it.
If the extra 45% deal at FYE wasn't ending in mid-July, I'd hold onto it for a little longer, but I can't pass up an opportunity to trade it in and get what I paid for it.
It's similar to Prey I think (except The Darkness is better). Single player is great, but there's not much incentive to come back.
I know my friends will be upset that I get rid of it before school though, they want to see all the darkness powers

Both cost alot of money. So if I'm going to put $500 into a computer right now and I have alot of games I want to play it will make it more convienent, having the Xbox 360 as well in my small room would be kind of overwhelming. My older brother plays the 360 sometimes so even more convienence, not to mention we split the cost of the 360.

I like to make it a secondary game and see if I can get "free rentals" of games by getting them, beating them, and selling them for what or more than what I paid. It's pretty impossible to do buying thing new at $50/$60, but for older stuff it's very doable. Using the B2G1 offer, I was able to play Tomb Raider: Legend for free, and even then sell it to another CAG for a good price.
Phoenix Wright 2 (Japan version - but it has full English)
Super Princess Peach and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin should be arriving on my doorstep any day now at which point I'll probably rotate amongst all three.
Haven't played anything on my consoles for over a month. (Three mentioned are all DS games.)
I'm on the sell pretty much everything once you beat it bandwagon. Stopped keeping records a while back but when I did I had made enough selling my games to pay for every game I'd ever bought for my Xbox and PS2 along with the consoles themselves! (Helps that I got the PS2 for $15 at a yard sale...)

Etrian Odyssey is pretty sweet, though tough as balls. Very slowly moving through it. I'm at level 5 after just breaking into the second floor a bit.
Is the general consensus that Okami is going to get a price drop at some point? It's gone from my Best Buy and I think we're still waiting for it to clearance at CC. Debating if I want to pick up a used copy of that with the EB coupon or wait and hope for some cheapness.

I don't think it's in CC's stores anymore, is it? I think it's just going OOP and that'll be that. I picked up a new copy on Ebay for like $21, so if you get lucky, you can get near GH prices before shipping.

Gosh, playing the "old" version of Mega Man 1 on MM: PU, that yellow demon is obnoxious without the select button spam from the NES version. I'm going to have to like write down the pattern of those stupid blocks.
RE4 Wii continues to be awesome.
I posted the question in its thread, but anyone have any opinions on the value of the Crackdown DLC? Worth $10?
Odin Sphere I will probably have to bite the bullet and buy for $35-$40 along with GG.
Yeah, do that - I doubt these two will get cheap (though I'm sure somewhere there will be a YMMV clearance on them). I just picked up GrimGrimoire from GC which seems to have a better supply of them then EBStop. Grab a couple of PSP games from GR using B1G1 and bring them to GC for the 50% bonus promo, using the proceeds to buy GrimGrimoire. Then you basically used GR credit on a game GR will never get and made a bit of profit along the way as well.
I may start up GG as my next game, as it is not supposed to be painfully long like some of the others in my backlog. I need to actually play one of these new games I keep buying before they become old-school classics  (like Shadow of the Colossus and Okami, both of which I got upon release).

You know what would be the coolest thing ever, for the virtual console. I mean thee coolest thing ever. Secret of Mana but with the 40% of content and graphics lost when they made it a regular SNES game rather then a CD game for the SNES add on that was cut, fix all the bugs they can in this day and give it a new translation to give the game more life(one guy had 6 weeks to translate the Japanese game to English in 6 weeks, understandable but a rehash deserves a team working to get a perfect or near perfect translation). Get 3 gamecube controllers out and play some co-op renewed Secret of Mana goodness.
Ohh yeah I've been playing the glitchy as hell NBA 2k7 over XBL and also trying out indy homebrew games on my DS.
edit: Release the rehashed Secret of Mana and also translate Secret of Mana 2 from Japanese for the US.

Chrono Cross was a good game, however my attention span is just too short for RPGs. There are many characters and the story is fairly good. However after returning to it after a couple years, my eyes just couldn't handle the pixels of the PSX. Again, it's a good game, but I don't see too many reasons for picking it up again, besides being an RPG enthusiast.
Right now I'm training hard in Smash Bros. Melee, highly anticipating the coming of SMash Brawl, whenever that is.

Especially on start-up, they have to know people tend to hit continue buttons pretty frequently to skip through opening shit, so one would think they'd at least force you to acknowledge overwriting a previous save game. whoknows, that sucks about the Darkness. Why does any game on any system any more have only one save slot? I mean, seriously, the original Zelda on the NES has three. Why can't every game out there have multiple slots. It irritates me from the little DS games to the big 360 games.
Just started GrimGrimoire Saturday night. It is different from my usual fare, that's for sure. I didn't realize it was a real time strat game (and yes, it actually says that on the back - but I didn't look at that until just now ). Fun so far though...
My kids have been on a "nouveau" retro kick lately. By that I mean they are breaking out old Gamecube games and playing them. Things like Kirby Air Ride, Sonic Adventure 2 (and messing around with the Chao's - remember those?), and of course SSBM. To them these are old classics - they'll look back on these games the way many of you guys look at NES/SNES/Genesis games. My son wanted to play Super Mario 64 on the DS again yesterday too. They even went with a "classic" Wii game tonight and asked to play Elebits. See, THIS is why I don't ever get rid of my old games .

Fun and maybe profit later once I get enough out there. But mostly because it's fun and because it seems like too many reviews are worthless and don't actually help you decide whether or not you want the game. Makes me feel like I'm doing my part instead of saying "No, you idiot, that game sucks."

Good luck with that last dungeon. Don't even waste your time until you're up to level 50 and more importantly high level in your job classes. There's no save points and the whole thing takes hours. I died at the last boss and never finished the game because I never got the desire to go through the long dungeon again. just a warning. The last boss as well takes a HUGE difficulty spike from the previous bosses, mostly because of the number of attacks it can do before you can react.
I'm still loving chrono trigger, I know it's old, but I'm going to spoiler tag this I'm about to revive chrono. It's really like playing it the first time, since I don't remember too much of the story from when I played back in 7th grade, but i'm surprised about how good the characters are and how epic the whole thing feels. When Zeal fell into the ocean and chrono sacrificed himself, those moments have gravity that many games can't even accomplish now. I think I might make this a summer of Chrono and get all the endings in CT, scenarios in Radical Dreamers and play through Chrono Cross again, all on the PSP, which is amazing.

Well, as much as I love chrono trigger and a lot of SNES rpgs, the turbo and save state functions make these games much more bearable. Turboing through repetitive battles and savestates to avoid redoing sections is nice.
I've always felt that RPGs in general suffer from too much reusing of content and redoing of certain parts. Chrono Trigger is pretty good about these things, because it's pretty easy, and savepoints are generous.

Agreed, even if I don't know what hoveround speeds are.
Finished up Odin Sphere last night. While this was a tough game, it had some hot end-game boss fights. But that Onyx - probably an unbeatable boss for me. Thank god I could cheat my way through it with an Ooze.

SNES. I couldn't stand the loading times in the PSX version and it was a lot blurrier. The framerate drops when emulating it, but it's not bad.I didn't think there was much blurriness in the PS1 version, but I will admit the loading kind of sucked. If I never played the SNES version, the loading would have never bothered me (That was the case with FFV, since the loading in the PS1 version never bothered me).
Mostly, I'm playing PSP right now. I got Gunpey during the TRU sale, finally played it on Sunday and definitely like it. I think IGN was smoking crack with its 4.2 review score. I've also been playing Salamander Portable (import from Asia). At first I kind of regretted paying $40 for it, now I love it (not as much as Twinbee Portable and Gradius Collection). I've been playing some PS3, mostly Super Stardust HD and Ridge Racer 7 (over 60% complete). on Xbox 360, playing a little Forza 2, but I may go back and try to progress more in Samurai Warriors 2.
I would like to get back into playing some RPGs (I own around 150 of them), but I cannot decide which to play. I haven't beaten any of my Shin Megami Tensei games (own the four on PS2), Shadow Hearts series, and many others. I won't play an RPG seriously right now because I'll be starting school again soon (and I need to work on a project).

Just got to the first save point in RE4 on the Wii. Man, this game is a lot more fun with the controls on the Wii. :)

I should probably give RE4 another shot. I just played the GC version, but it wasn't for me (I didn't really play for that long though). I've never really been a RE or survival horror fan over the years, but since many do like it, I'm tempted to give it another go.

I've never really been a RE or survival horror fan over the years, but since many do like it, I'm tempted to give it another go.I'm not a horror fan at all. RE4 is very much more of an action game than a survival horror IMO. I will never play the other RE's I'm sure (probably will check out UC on the Wii when it hits as it looks so very different), but RE4 is great. The GC version has the noticably better graphics, the PS2 has the added Separate Ways segment, and the Wii has both with the far-superior controls. But, not having a Wii, you can get either of the other two version really cheap if you don't still have one.
EDIT: Just got Chili Con Carnage for the PSP from my 2 week old $10 Amazon order. Might try that out when I'm ready to chuck Mega Man Powered Up out the window in a fit of rage.
I've kind of set Phoenix Wright 2 aside to play Super Princess Peach and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. I did the same thing with PW1 and it took me forever to work through it. :)
Super Princess Peach is a lot of fun. Based on a few reviews I read it's supposed to be fairly easy, but fun while it lasts. Sounds like the perfect game for a short summer vacation.

Etrian Odyssey is the first game I've paid full retail for (with cash, anyway) in God knows how long, which made me sad. But I'll be damned if this game isn't the most mindlessly addicting dungeon crawler I've ever partaken in.
I have no real worry about progressing through the game, which is unusual for me, I'm more interested in getting exp any way possible to build up my character stats. Its too bad there isn't a timer on this game (and only one save slot, egads), but I'd wager I've spent in the vicinity of 10-15 hours just making it through the first two floors of the dungeon.
I'm almost making it harder for myself by not allowing any of my characters to die - if they do, reset, work through it again. So everyone in my party is still has identical exp through Level 11. :D (Full disclosure: one of my guys did die once, but I ran away from that battle and had one revive item, so I let it slide).

I'm curious to see what you think of Za Darku-nessca.
You're not going to get much extra out of the LE. From what the EB clerk described to me, it wasn't much (see the NGS thread.) I was hoping for a tin...instead it's a sleeve.
Still plugging away at DDS myself. I've been grinding to get some skills and levels, but I just arrived at the amusement park place (?) after Sera gets kidnapped
I'm guess I'm a little over half way done?

As usual with these games, while they seem to disappear quickly from EB/GS they stick around for a while at Gamecrazy. This is true of Etrian Odyssey (I've seen a few at every GC I've been to in the last week for sure), and in the past was true of Phoenix Wright (when it went all rare on us), Castlevania DoS (ditto), and now currently also with GrimGrimoire and Odin Sphere.
BTW, I'm still playing GrimGrimoire. Man, that game ramped up in difficulty awfully fast in the "Second" phase...
I may break out Etrian Odyssey soon though as I haven't touched my DS in over a month now. If Botticus says it is a good old-fashioned dungeon crawl then I'm all for it!

And I definitely didn't have the same experience you did with The Darkness... maybe it was just the PS3 version?
Oh, and you're a little under halfway done. Up to that point in DDS, I wasn't really digging it mainly coz that shit was so difficult (I hadn't played an SMT before DDS)... after that Coordinate 236 or whatever it is, the game really starts to get good though.

Odin Sphere (playing on PS3, crossing fingers for no save data corruption) - Not perfect, but still a whole lot of fun.
UFO Afterlight (PC) - Excellent tactical/strategy game (I fell in love with this type of gameplay ever since I played Jagged Alliance 2).
Etrian Oddyssey (DS) - This game flows in highs and lows. I find myself grinding a little more than I like, and then suddenly blazing through floors. The map making is definitely a solid gravity point in terms of gameplay longevity.
I just got Res Evil 4 (Wii) via Goozex, that's next after Odin Sphere.

Only thing I can think of for BD apart from a pre-release is the Asian version, which was in Japanese with English subtitles.

The offer of 5 free Blu Ray movies helps (one being Phantom of the Opera which I'd get anyway, and another being the Italian Job which I've been meanign to see but haven't yet),

You can probably get a really good deal on one on Craig's List. or just buy the system and sell the blu ray movies for about 15 a piece after you're done with them for a nice discount.
as for games, you might really like some of the PSN games. namely Flow, Super Stardust, Blast Factor, and Calling All Cars. all 4 are extremely fun, though Flow is a little short lived. you're in for a nice surprise with CAC though-- that game is a total sleeper.

Daroga, one more thing-- it does sound like you're considering a total impulse buy...and you may regret it unless you get really into the games that are out and use it for upscaled PS2 games, DVDs, and Blu-Ray. If you'll be full on with all that, then you'll get your money's worth. if you're looking to buy it for PS3 games only, don't!

How the hell did you sell a cell phone for $300? I've never even considered buying a phone worth more than $100!

well, those are two very good reasons but if they're the only two, then don't do it.
only get it if you're going to use a lot of the media functions, get PSN games, play lots of PS2 and PS1 games etc. otherwise you'll get some tasty $600 buyer's remorse :)

yes. that would be kinda sketchy with a $600 system. though I guess it wouldn't "technically" be wrong at BB. it would still be a tense experience.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to drop $600 (all of which would come from my game-sale account from earlier this year though, so it's not like it's a PS3 vs. RENT fight) on potential for the system. There's been times I've felt the sting of getting in on the ground floor of the Wii and that was only $250.
I'm gonna sleep on it. If anyone has any other thoughts, hit me up with them.

Just finished the first Rachel level of Sigma and yeah... this is easily the best game of the year so far. I wonder if anything will overtake it... it'd have to be something incredible like Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles or Metal Gear Solid 4... hmm..
Oh well. Go get this game. I'll write a review, but fuck, you know what I think about it already.

Is Ninja Gaiden Sigma THAT different from Black to warrant a $600 purchase? Especially when price drop is on everybody's lips right now? Wait till after E3. Because if a price drop doesn't come then, it won't come until next year. That's my view on it.

It feels a lot different, to me. It's faster, more precise, and everything just feels... perfect. I also really like how every stage has an artistic touch to it now... by comparison, the environments in Black look really bland.
Worth buying the $600 system right now? Probably not... no game is. But it's a strong reason for buying it.

Hmm... I dunno... if it's still at $600, then that's still a red flag even if you throw in 2 games... especially considering how many of the PS3's games are throwaway titles that few people with any sense would want to play. Personally, I think the price would drop before we get pack in games simply because that's what's needed to sell more units. Consumers know it and I'm sure Sony does, despite the arrogance of their PR department.

Oh yeah, either a price drop or improving on what comes in the $600 package, either one is very likely right now.
I picked up three games today as a birthday splurge/Lumines profit splurge.

Gurumin is reallly cutesy. After hearing about it for weeks on CAG foreplay, and being interested previously, I got the last copy at Best Buy. Not quite what I was expecting, but the actual gameplay is really fun, action/platforming with RPG elements is always fun. Colorful graphics with a troublesome camera. I got lucky and used one of the expired GamePro coupons to get it for $15 at BB.
Death Jr was a $10 front row game that is much better than I remember. It's like a less complex, kid's version of devil may cry. The characters are fun and controls are really good. This one got overlooked, I think.
Brothers in Arms DS: Garnett over at 1up was wrong about this one so far. The controls work just as well as they did in MPH and the game is great. Everyone's seen the great graphics, but the levels are very well designed for a portable. It reminds me a bit of Gears/Vegas with the over the shoulder 3rd person. I've heard it's short, and it is a little easy.
Chrono Trigger continues to be as good as ever.

hell no it's not enough to warrant a $600 purchase. i feel half retarded buying the Collector's Edition for $70  (well, the Secret of Mana guide I got for $5 today will make up for that difference on ebay, I guess.)
I'm feeling more critical of Sigma though. it just doesn't feel as polished as it should. I love it, but some things are annoying about it.

In the meantime, perhaps I will buy old-school Ninja Gaiden on the VC.

Don't worry it does have Japanese voice option with English subs...

For the record, I think I might just start a play through of Ninja Gaiden Black on the 360. That seems cheaper since I own it and everything already. ;) Likewise, I hate the DualShock analog stick layout. Trying to play through the whole of Ninja Gaiden with my thumb cocked at a 90 degree angle doesn't sound too appealing.
I may splurge and get The Darkness, though. What's the general consensus on that?

However, imho, it doesn't have much replay value.

surprisingly, there are things anyone can notice if they've played the previous ones. Little 2 second loading screens everywhere, and lots of "unofficial" loading screens when you open chests and stuff (it pauses for a couple seconds without saying "loading.") sometimes when you navigate menus and it stutters there too. you're right, the 360 controller is much better for it. especially when you take bluetooth de-syncs into account :bomb:
and the CGI is actually worse than it is on the 360 which is absolutely ridiculous considering they have 50 freaking gigs of space to put uncompressed video on
Gameplay and graphics wise, this is the best version, and I'm loving it so far, but on a technical level it's not as polished and has some odd problems that I wouldn't expect from Team Ninja.

huh, that's weird. I'd have figured that game would've been spit-polished to the nth degree. I guess not.
Is the general consensus that they're going to keep Sigma on the PS3 only or might it see some daylight as a 360 title? At this point, now that I'm awake and thinking ratioanlly, it's more the controller than the pricey new system that makes me ask that.
As for The Darkness, I have a feeling it would be a buy-play-sell type of game. How long is it?

I'm currently plugging away at Kingdom Hearts: Re: Chain of Memories on PS2 and I'm FINALLY nearing the end. But then I have the Reverse/Rebirth mode to go through too! AAH! After that I can FINALLY play KH2: Final Mix and hear the story in ENGLISH. The in-game text is still in Japanese, but all the cutscenes have English voice-overs. :D
Haven't really played anything on Wii since I haven't imported a US copy of RE4 over here yet and my library of 3 already completed PS3 games remains untouched. I hope to get Ninja Gaiden soon though. On the 360 front, I haven't played anything in months but I'm about halfway through Lost Planet and I have a copy of Gears of War from last fall that I haven't even opened yet. :O
Otherwise, I'm playing a TON of music games lately on PS2.
Namely:
GuitarFreaks/Drummania (I have 5 of the 8 mixes released)
KeyboardMania
Vib Ribbon and its sequels Vib Ripple and Mojib Ribon

Finally opened up the Factory in Rogue Galaxy last night. I'm loving this game, battles are really fun. Like everyone's said the story isn't spectacular, but the voice acting sure is. Now I'm trying to figure out how to make items--do all machines need an electrical cord hooked up to them, or will that be on the plan specifically if it needs it? I'm just trying to make the first thing, the magical smelter.

Both seemed to fair about the same in reviews (7-8 range). I'm DLing IGN's video reviews of both right now to get a better taste of both of them.

Meaning you have to build it straight out from the outlet, and then left or right into the input. If you try otherwise, it won't actually connect.

I was going to start a new thread, but I might as well talk about it here first.
Does anyone else get really nervous about their Live Arcade, Virtual Console and PSN games? Like what's going to happen if they don't carry over into the next systems nervous? I know it's still a while off, but it makes me very leery about purchasing any of these games if I can't have them long term :-/

Get The Darkness. It's a really good game and the only real drawback it has is that it's short. Though at $60 for an 8 hour game... it's pretty steep. If you don't factor the price though and just look at the game itself... yeah, good shit.
