Looks like complete crap, would take at least two hours to even properly half ass the Death of Superman story, I don't think 75 minutes is going to cut it.

Well you have to think they got rid of all the Justice League side stories and a couple of the comics were splash pages with very little dialogue, I think they will do fine.

At least they got Tim Daly for the voice. He did good work with the series.

And the trailer suggests its covers some adaptation of reign of superman as well. That is a lot of story ground to cover in a short time.

I REALLY hope they put in the infamous Justice League car door scene. It will forever give the dvd a place on my shelf.

I'll wait for it to hit the bargin bin like the rest of the direct to dvd animated cartoons.

its done by the same people that did Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Batman Beyond and Justice League /JL Unlimited. Which are pretty dark and appeal to adults.
It is unrelated to The Batman, teen titans and Legions of Superheroes that have a lighter tone.
Looks like complete crap, would take at least two hours to even properly half ass the Death of Superman story, I don't think 75 minutes is going to cut it.
Its being done by Bruce Timm, so we know it'll be amazing, 75 minutes is a lot longer than you think.
I'll wait for it to hit the bargin bin like the rest of the direct to dvd animated cartoons.
DTVs don't end up on the bargain bin too often, especially the dcau ones.

Sadly all of the JL bit is not in the movie. And neither will Cyborg in the return of superman.
Its not a straight adaptation but is mostly the same, and yes it'll include the reign of Supermen as well.
Its done by Bruce Timm and its rated PG-13 so we know it'll be amazing.

I've always wanted them to do this in movie form. Live-action was preferred but Ill deal with this.

I'll wait for it to premiere on Cartoon Network before deciding if it's worth buying. Hopefully Timm & co. can recapture the stellar work they did on the other DCAU stuff.

Well, Ultimate Avengers is $5 at CC this week, but whatev.
Anyways, looks alright, but I tell ya, it's all been downhill since Mask of the Phantasm. I hope they manage to do another DCAU movie that good again someday.

Bah, the Justice Lords storyline ruined this release for me. JLU even had another Doomsday themed episode. I don't see how this could top those.....

Not Tim Daly - it's Adam Baldwin (Firefly). James Marsters is Lex Luthor.
I agree Tim Daly did a great job as Superman, although I grew to like the guy who took over for JLA/JLU (George Newburn?). Anyway, Timm et al always get great voice work so I'm sure Baldwin will be fine in the role.

I'll rent this first or actually I'll let my friend rent it and borrow it from him. Before I decide to buy it.
Saw this at comic-con. It was a pretty good animated movie. if you're into the DC animated universe, pick it up.
