In the Terms of Service, what does it mean by:

Effective now, you may be required to submit an ID for verification purposes in order to receive your gift. If you are selected to submit an ID you will be notified when you log in and will receive instructions on how to submit the ID.

Not everybody will need to submit an ID. We have several criteria for determining when an ID is necessary. Frauders will not be paid, and legitimate users will have nothing to worry about. Once we receive your ID we will not need one from you again.

Exactly what it says, you might be required to submit an ID.

It means they might ask for some information, possibly a credit card number to verify you are in fact who you claim to be and not someone who's created multiple accounts.

Of course if are asked to verify you can always say no and the only result will be the suspesion of your account and the loss of whatever effort you've put into the site.

They wouldn't ask for your credit card number, lol .. just an ID, such as a state issued ID.

Hmm...and what if one does not have a credit card?

Also: And how would you submit it if asked?

Fax ..

Yes, but that assumes one owns a fax machine.

Then you might have to fax them something, although a number of the offers you're required to complete on these type of sites require a credit card anyhow.

How likely is it that you'll need to provide ID?

Very. You could also probably scan a copy of one and email it. Take a cell phone pic mayhaps?
