Crappy game for only 99 cents!

Triple Play 2002 is only $0.99 at bestbuy.com. After tax for me it was only $1.07 with free shipping, it is on backorder though so it may never come. Even if it is terrible you can't beat $1.

I ordered 1 as well, but just so I can have my own little contest to see if this game or Metal Arms ever ship after being backordered.
With my luck, I'll end up getting Triple Play and having Metal Arms cancelled.
My total after tax came to $1.04. It has to cost more than that to ship it, so I doubt this will ever show up,

yea, i dont count on bestbuy unless i call the stores physically and make sure they have copies in store, their online purchasing and backordering stuff is the biggest ripoff and waste of ur time....
If they dont get MASS demand for an item, they wont order it, screwing you out of ur money, but hey i gues thats y theyre still in the business.....

Being a cheap ass, doesn't mean buying everything under the sun. Some games that appear to be cheap on the surface aren't even worth the effort. What are you going to do with a 2+ year old sports title?

im 99% sure i got my orders in before the backorder.. under the status, it says inprocess and it says they will ship in 1-2 days.. can someone who backordered it tell me if yours says this too or if its somthing diff?? thanks.

edit: what do i plan on doing with the games? i ordered 3, so either 2 for friends one for me.. or option #2 is trade them into www.wherehouse.com, get 21 bucks, and order ESPN NFL 2k5 for free... hmm who wouldnt pay $3 for a 2k5 game??

I ordered 2. I will trade them in to Gamerush and get a PO game for $9.99. Thats what I'm going to do with a 2+year old sports title. And I will keep the game cases because I need em.

What's with all the anti-cheapass sentiment on CAG recently? Seems every thread has at least one person saying the same thing, that just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's good, worth it, etc. Then someone else started an entire thread about how everyone was TOO cheap going crazy for 4.99 CC deals. All you cheapa-haters should should give it a rest!

I like baseball, but I don't care about keeping up with the 'stats' or whatever. If I had noticed this deal, and the game itself is any good [just outdated], I probably would have ordered it as well. Cheap doesn't necessarily mean good, but a case itself is worth a dollar, it might be good to trade in, or heck, buy a hundred of them and donate them to a thrift store or children's hospital.
