You also can't bypass the 1000 daily ticket limit anymore just by leaving a game open for as long as you can keep playing.

Once you reach the limit, a little bit of text comes up above the game you're playing saying that you reached the limit and won't earn any more points for the day.

My problem with this is, my daily limit is supposed to reset at 5 pm, but it didn't. I started playing at around 2 pm and at 5:40, it told me I exceeded my daily limit. I wish they'd fix the site. It seems to always be messed up.

I think Microsoft didn't update their automatic reset thing to Daylight Savings Time. I used to play at 4:00 each day (pacific), but I noticed it was resetting at 5:00. That might be why.

This is the rundown of LSC:

1. Free stuff for doing Word puzzles that uses their Live Search sevice

2. You must not use bots, but you can use www.anagramssolved.com (http://www.anagramssolved.com) for MOST of the answers

3. THe limit of tickets you can get is 1000. The game that gets the most points is Flexicon that gives 25 tickets. Crosswire, Word slugger, Spelling Bee and Chicktionary give 20 tickets.

4. You may or may not get your item due to their random "cheater" labels.

5. Sadly the best method for not being labeled a cheater: DON'T E-MAIL THEM!

6. The prizes aren't real great this time around. They did have the Zune for 20k tickets and 360's for 35k, but took them off due to supply. It's not certain if they will put the prizes and if the tickets will be the same

7. When you do get enough for a prizes, the website says between 1-3 months to get something (which, by the way, shipping is free!), but some users have reported getting things about 8 or 9 months after the fact. Best advice: Be Patient and look out for Fed-Ex trucks!

That should answer any kind of question about LSC. If anyone asks again, point to this post. If I missed something, i'll revamp the list.

It is the honest truth. the same thing happened to me about my 360. I waited about 9 weeks then asked to see what was going on, then i was labeled a cheater come January. After they called me a cheater I ordered a controller and received it one month later from the same account. so it goes to show you that they don't really wanna give us the prizes anyway.

They added a new game called "Picture This" - the game pairs you up with another LSC player and they give you a search term and you each pick a picture that best matches the phrase. If you both match, you get points. At the end of the game, it converts your points to tickets.

Mostly a waste of time since it doesn't give that many tickets. The most I've gotten from one game (so far) was just three tickets. I think you can get up to 10 for one game, but you and the person you're paired with would have to match every picture for that.

The last email I received from them regarding one of these accounts was back in October of last year. These people are all over the place with their responses and deliveries.

I play lots of Flexicon, Crosswire, and Chicktionary. I'm up to the new puzzles for Flexicon and Crosswire, have 1,500 or so left on Chicktionary. I'm moving to Word Slugger next. I occasionally play Seekadoo.

with the recent major shipment of prizes, i think club live is going to continue to exist. because of that, i think they will bring 360s back, because obviously that generates the majority of searches for them and come on, it doesn't cost much for microsoft to give away 360s. as everybody knows, the companies make money off games and online fees, not console sales, so they will make money even "giving" them away. if you're half way there, you may as well keep going.

its a good idea anyway cause lsc might flag you for one or 2 items and not ship them, but then you can still save up with something else instead of lossing everything.

IE get 10 things that add up to $360, they cancel 2 items you still have $350

as apposed to getting one 360 canceled on you and having $0...

just a thought :)

I tested this out. I don't think they've removed it, but they may have upped the "requirement" for getting one. I did maybe six games of Chicktionary pretty quick before seeing one, when I did get one I wasn't typing any faster than I was on the other games.

i like flexicon but none of the others. so to amass points i would play flexicon for the majority of the 1000 daily points, and then do a few games of chicktionary and crosswire since you need points from those too. i could never dedicate a day to pure crosswire action. also, i usually play without pants on.

Depending on how well you know the puzzle and how fast you type. Flexicon has 25 pts, but to me is quite difficult without the answers. With the answers from anagramssolved.com, about 3-5 mins. per puzzle. Chicktionary is 20 pts and you can use any kind of anagram solver site to know what the answers are. Chicktionary takes about 3 mins to do dependng on how fast you can type.

The puzzles are very easy to me. I play Flexicon and finish a puzzle every 2-4 minutes, without anagramsolved or any site like it. They're very simple and once you've done a few, you'll notice a lot of repetition.

You can use AdBlock Plus with Firefox and block the search frame. Thats what I did.

I ordered the magazines.com gift card. Its been awhile and I havent heard from them. I hope they dont cheat me out of my prize like a bunch of greedy SOBs. Anyone know whats a likely wait time? Or do they email you when they are gonna ship or when they make a decison on whther you get the prize or not? I never got a shipping notice for the one copy of Vista Ultimate I got last year. I ordered 2 other copies of Vista on that account and a 360 controller, but never got those and my account got zeroed when they did their mass zeroing of accounts last year.

For the 360, I got my shipping notice about a month after it was delivered. :-P They haven't sent me a shipping notice for Rock Band yet.

Don't e-mail or call them or you might get accused of cheating. That seems to happen to some people that have contacted them. Lately, people have been saying that they actually send real e-mail responses now. I still wouldn't contact them at all though. Just wait it out and you'll get your stuff eventually, even if it's past the 12 weeks it's supposed to take.

I don't know how the magazines.com stuff works - maybe they'll just e-mail you a code or something.

That phone number below my name is my brring number that forwards to my GrandCentral number that goes straight to voicemail. Brring pays 5 cents for every call you get ($1 each for the first 10 calls), so I just put it there to see if anyone would actually call it. No calls so far. :-P I don't post much, so the number doesn't get a lot of exposure.

Yes you can have two accounts with the same shipping address. It is limit one item per household (based on account holder address) of each hardware and software product. If you are planning to order more than one of the same item, I would recommend that you use a relatives address on one of your accounts.

i got my zune today. it is a red 30 g academic edition. the redness is actually not too bad. gives it a fun difference. to those who have questions. i did not get a confirmation letter or a tracking until fedex left me a doortag. i ordered on 1/20. thats 91 days ... or 13 weeks.

i did not cheat. i used anagramssolved.com. gdlck to everyone whos tryin to get prizes. play fair and u will get it... sadly the ones on the website now suck. even the roomba is gone. booo

why wouldn't they keep it up they are making money from it also if they were to shut down then there is no guarantee of us getting our prizes of which I am yet to receive a prize in 2 weeks event hough I ordered a flash drive a zune and even keyboards are now being shipped

Maybe they aren't making as much money as they thought, that's if we assume they are even making any money.

Everyone keeps talking about them making money on these games. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how, exactly, are they making money? There aren't any banners on the search pages, and I don't see any sponsored links being clicked.

I was under the impression that the site is nothing more than Microsoft buying its way into a larger market share in the search engine war with google. Rather than spend millions on trying to advertise their search engine, they just spent those dollars on prizes for the heaviest users instead. Am I wrong?
