Not sure if everyone knows this, but Magazines.com redeems their gift cards for cash! So, even with the point limit, you could get 995 tickets every day, and order a gift card. That's $15 a day...not bad compared to all the other prizes.

However, they don't email you the gift card code; you have to wait for the gift card to arrive by mail :(

Slip they left said it would be delivered Thursday, so I wait around for him, and see the guy drive up. He parks on the other side of the street (like usual) and then he spends about 5 minutes in his truck and drives away. So, I think maybe they forgot to pack it or something, right? Yesterday (Friday) I wait around again, and this time no truck at all. I am curious as to what to do, because I know there are the 3 delivery attempts, and then you have to pick it up. I don't know if those days it was SUPPOSED to come count as an attempt or not... >_> Advice?

Be best to call them again and see if they have it, and if they have been attempting to deliver it after the first day.

If it doesn't work you can always spend another 20 days and get one. Plus it's not as if you lose out completely because you're still getting free magazines even if it doesn't work. You might be able to Ebay them as well.

I only had like 2000 points and hardly ever play so I thouhgt I would give it a try too. The only thing that has me wondering is that in the redeem link they keep saying "Cash Card" instead of Gift Card, and it says this under the Gift Card purchase screen on magazines.com

It came on the 16th. I waited till that monday after and I wrote them asking about the games. They said the games would be coming and I could expect Kameo, PGR3, and Halo 3 soon and that the Xbox live card was no longer included on the bundle.

Its halo 2 for vista. You can pick up H2 for xbox for like $20 @ best buy. And make sure you have a decent PC to run H2V, I heard that it was pretty demanding. Its just a GFW game other than that.

No, a little window at the top will pop up and say "congradulations you have reached the limit for today... "

For those of you who shortly after the switch to the new site got an "initialize your account" screen and had your account totally disappear, as I did; LSC apparently is looking into it and will add old ticket amounts to whatever you get on your "new" account. They sent me an email today stating:
The "Initialize Account" error is being furthered investigated by our Technical Support Team. Upon resolution, tickets that have been accrued on your new handle will be transferred to your old handle which you will be able to access. Please note, any tickets that are accrued will be transferred to your old handle upon resolution.

The Zune is 20k Tickets. There's a limit of 1000 tickets per day. If you hit the caps everyday... you should be able to order it in 20 days. So I'd say minimum 20 days.

There's only an Xbox and Windows Vista version. Only through backwards compatibility does the Xbox version run on the Xbox 360.

Same here... %20 is the URL encoded representation of a space, so it kind of makes sense. Curious thing is that it used to work properly. :-s

I think the Zunes they give away aren't made anymore either, right? That's probably why they give them for free. I ordered Halo2, I'm hoping for xbox, but I guess either will do.

I am not completely sure about that. But if they are no longer made, Microsoft still supports it as part of the Zune family. Halo 2 Xbox is 3 1/2 years old, while Halo 2 Vista is only about a year, so hopefully it is Vista( atleast I hope so).

Double ticket day is from 12:00AM to 11:59PM PDT but wouldn't that cut into two UTC (http://club.live.com/Pages/about/about.aspx?tab=club#DailyTicketLimit) days? How does that work out?

Say if you live in the pacific can you max out to 1000 tickets from 12AM to 5PM then max out again at the start of the next UTC day at 5PM to 11:59PM? That makes for 4000 tickets when they're doubled.

How hard would it have been to start double ticket day at the start of a UTC day? It'd be so much simpler and straightforward. There wouldn't be any need for fine print to state the obvious because the most you would earn in a day is a 1000 therefore 2000 tickets when they're doubled.

Easier how? It would seem that they're already tabulating how many points you make in a UTC day so why bother going through the trouble of tabulating how many points you make in an entirely different time frame for this one occasion when you can match it with UTC times and call it a day?

IDK I'm sure there's good reason for this anyway.

*edit* I wouldn't be surprised if the GCs returned but quadrupled the tickets required to obtain them to thwart the cash redemptions.
