1) I get captchas exactly every 4 games of flexicon, chicktionary, spelling bee, word slugger, prime suspects - nothing random about it. I don't know about the lower ticket games (I did get them every 4 with Matt Lauer before they dropped the tickets for it to 10, I haven't played it since). They also give you the in-game captchas (a 6 character one that is easy to read with alternating letters and numbers) when you type too quickly in chicktionary/spelling bee/sord slugger, which I avoid by a 1-2 second pause every 8 words.

In flexicon I find it happens when you click more than 5 magnifying glasses in a row without a sufficient pause. I avoid this by clicking no more than 5 in a row, then waiting till the lights stop flashing on the sides for about a second. It's not exact, but it avoids those captchas most of the time (unless I'm careless and don't follow my rules). This is handy for those who like to fill out the puzzle then go back and click all the magnifying glasses, which I find myself doing on the last square quite often.

2) I'm on Eastern time (minus daylight savings) and it is 8pm for me. In Cali (where I grew up - Woot!), it should be 5pm, assuming you observe daylight savings. LSC resets at UTC daily, the Navy has some UTC conversion charts here: http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/zones3.html

Considering the controllers were the same price as $20 games like PGR and Kameo they were a huge bargain. Probably why they sold out their stock so fast. Those things retail for $50 to $60 by comparison and they priced them comparatively when they restocked them.

I've already gotten 2 Xbox 360's, a Zune, Rock Band, Zoo Tycoon 2, Kameo, 2 Xbox controllers, PGR 3, the net ball game, 2 triangular pen sets, the tote bag, a hat, a tumbler, 2 headphones, a journal and pen set for myself, and probably a couple of other things. I got the extra jounal and pen sets for my daughters. Why buy if you can get them for free?

IF they send one (and that is a big if) :) , you should get the confirmation email right away. Only once it took a little longer for me.

If you're going to get a confirmation of your order, it will arrive right away. Sometimes the confirmation doesn't arrive, but as long as the tickets are taken away and it shows in your stats, you're good.

Every time you click a solution button, ask for a hint, enter a word (spelling bee, chicktionary, word slugger), you are doing a search. Those results get money for the search engines, in this case Live Search...

Does it do this on every game or just one specific one? What game(s) is it? Have you tried a different browser (i.e. firefox)? If you don't want to mess with much, clear your cache, log out and back in. Clearing your cache in firefox is pretty straight forward (tools->clear private data, check cache, and click clear private data now...) in IE7 I go to tools->internet options->general (tab), under browsing history, click the "delete..." button, and click "delete files" next to "temporary internet files". IE6 should be similar. That fixed a problem I had with flexicon having one single line with no sections and nothing worked...

Thanks, clearing the cache seemed to work. I've had problems in the past logging in and had to delete the cookies in those instances.

LSC has problems in the cache all the time, usually if there is a problem, clearing the cache fixes it. Glad to help...

Someone created these Flexicon puzzles and eventually there won't be any more games to play until new puzzles are added. I first hit the ceiling on Flexicon at 17k then when new puzzles were added I played until I hit the ceiling at 22k(?) and etc. I'll hit the limit at around 35k then I'll have to play something else until they update the game. I don't think Picture This has a limit though. The game could go on indefinitely because the pictures look like they're randomly generated. I could be wrong though.

Back when the Matt Lauer game was worth 20pts a game I managed to rack up a measly 2188 tickets in over two days until I ran out of games to play. Games like Matt Lauer have a short lifespan. They earn you quick points and let you reach your 1000 point daily cap fast but the joyride ends in a few days when you run out of games. MCF Prime suspects (2640 max) and MCF Titanic (1860 max) fits into this category. They both net 20 points a game but end quick.

If you're in it for the long haul trying to earn some big ticket prizes then I'd get into a steady routine by playing games like Chicktionary, Word Slugger and Spelling Bee. They're all the exact same game but with a different skin. Each game nets you 20 points and each with at least a 23,000 point limit. Multiply that by three and you'll have a trio of games that will net you almost 70,000 points and last for a very long time. This link (http://www.anagramssolved.com/anagram-solutions.html) is all you need for all three games because I honestly can't fathom how someone can list every combination of words from seven letters especially EVERY six letter word combination.

Flexicon is another good game with a limit of around 35k. It's 25 points a game and while it may take a long time if you're just starting you'll gradually memorize the solutions when it repeats again...oh for the next hundred times. If you get stuck all the solutions are right here (http://www.anagramssolved.com/flexicon-solutions.html) if you type in the keywords of the main Flexicon hint into the box.

Crosswire is another great game each worth 20 points and with a limit of 22k points. Hints will help you through almost half the match ups and for the rest you could use trial and error or educated guesses. Or you could just use the solutions (http://www.anagramssolved.com/crosswire-solutions.html). :D

To avoid getting burned out I used to do 350 points of Chicktionary, 350 points of Flexicon and 300 points of Crosswire and rotate through all the other games.

That was way back when the site got started and there weren't enough games to play. Before the makeover when there was a leaderboard I remember several players with 140,000 lifetime totals. I myself have a lifetime total of 106,000 points. :bouncy:

It will tell you but all of the us time zones have passed the UTC day... So you can go get another 1000 points if you want to (in the US). But the Double Ticket day only gives you 1000 if you got 1000 or more

It will tell you when you complete a puzzle after hitting the limit. You'll see a message pop up and note that you received 0 tickets for whatever you just completed. That seems to be a step later than it should be (ex: after 41 Flexicon puzzles instead of after 40), but at least it tells you in some form.

WRONG! (don't read to much into this, I'm more or less just playing with you...) I just showed you how I got 2048 tickets in one day. Now assuming they clamp down the bonus tickets to a max of 1000 (as the site more or less said) I'll still get 3048 which is more than 3000. I know it's more or less the same, but I like to sneak those extra points in where I can, they all add up. I think the person who said that 1000 is the maximum for the day and that makes the limit 1000 for double ticket day didn't realize it actually spans 2 days of game play. I doubt they'll actually give the bonus tickets that we "earned" by playing while the double tickets sign was up, but I sure am hoping.

They did. Harmonix made a patch to make it work, but Activision rejected it. If you plug in the Rock Band uitar, a text box comes up and says that it is unsupported.

I didn't know cookbooks taught you HOW to cook. They are merely recipes and tell you how to cook a certain dish. Not valuable to some, but I think this is a cheap way for a birthday gift or xmas.

i just opened my zune today after it was sitting in the box for a month.
and guess what, its broken. the screen is stuck on the charging icon.

the zune is a POS.

oh it charged alright, i had to use my xbox to charge it.

when i unplugged it the charging icon stayed on the screen and i couldnt turn it off. ive been reading the zune boards and it appears to be a common problem. now i have to wait for it to drain so i can try it again. ill probably end up calling customer service again for the fifth time.

Same thing happened to me. Let it drain, mine took 17 hours, then plug it back in. Should work, mine did.

Daggumit, I only recently started using club to get my hands on a copy of vista, and now it's gone. How often to the update the prize page, because all I see that's even worthwhile are the frequent flyer miles, and I'm not wasting the points on those.

You waited a month to open it, what's another 17 hours? It would suck, I'm glad I didn't run into that problem. Good luck when it does discharge...

I've gotten that. If you can manage to get a point or two, then quit that puzzle, the next one should be normal. At least that's how it worked for me...

I am stuck on the same puzzle. There doesn't seem to be any way to get even one point. Also I have a seekado puzzle stuck too. The word list has nothing in it and you can't get any words to work in the puzzle.

I got around it by bringing my mouse over one of the answers and typing in what I thought was the answer. If an hour glass appears after typing some letters (whatever the unknown length is), you're doing it right. Some just plain won't work, meaining some squares only let you do the vertical OR horizontal, but not both. Once you solve a couple, quit the puzzle, take your point(s) and move on. I think the first grid horizontal #1 was "SHH", but it didn't work. I can't remember what any of the other solutions were. Football scores = "TDS" might have been one, I can't remember for sure though.

Anyone who has played flexicon much will know 5-10 of the answers off the top of their head, at least if you didn't type mindlessly to get where you are...

I had the same problem with flexicon and got around it the way you said but on crosswire and clink i now have a game that comes up with a play next game button that is not active. i emailed ms on it and they told me to send a screen shot of the puzzle. I did and they sent back a reply that they would fix it. it has been more then a month and it still shows up. I hate it cause it takes me only 1 to 2 minutes to solve each of those games. Also on flexicon I have been getting you have played all the puzzles for over a month now.

Have you actually maxed out the flexicon puzzles? When I had it maxed out, they were adding 4 puzzles a day, every day, but I haven't had it maxed out for a while, and I can't confirm if they are still adding puzzles and when they stopped adding puzzles. If it's not actually maxed out (something around 25,000 points, maybe even 30,000ish, try it on a different computer/browser, or by clearing your cache. I've had a bunch of "all puzzles completed" that went away when dumping my cache...

The last thing I ordered and received took 12 days to get here. A 360 controller I received today. I ordered an IntelliMouse a day or 2 later, we'll see how long that takes. They seem to have this "shipping stuff out" thing down now.

My brother just ordered, and received within 2 weeks, his vx-6000 webcam. Well, UPS delivered my Rock Band and #1 Xbox 360 controller today. Still waiting to get the 2nd controller I ordered about a 1 week after I ordered the first one. Even then, the turn-around time has been great. Was told 8-12 weeks for Rock Band, and it got here in 4.

Dang.. I just ordered Rock Band a couple days ago, about the time that a few people here were getting shipping confirmations for it. I guess that means I just missed that shipment wave... and now I'll have to wait a few weeks (maybe longer? since it's an expensive prize) for it to ship :(
