I think there's a misunderstanding here.

Read SuperSonic's post again, particularly the bolded part:

I talked to them on the phone a while back. (When I thought my check would come in within two weeks.) The first thing the guy told me on the phone was that there were diffrent kinds of cards. One redeemable for cash and for magazines, and one that can only be used for magazine subscriptions. If you had ordered a gift card before, the conformation would say magazines.com giftcard. When you order it now, it says $15/$25 magazine subscription.

There is a high chance CL read up on it and ordered the the ones that can't be redeemed for cash because it would make the cards worth more then anything on the site and people would just go out and buy the item.

If I remember right, he sent his cards in quite a long time ago. So here is the apparent timeline of events.

1. SuperSonic orders tons of Magazines.com gift cards when they were up for the first time.
2. He receives them, then requests a conversion to cash from Magazines.com
3. The website says it usually takes 2 weeks. 2 weeks passed with no sign of the money, so he calls and asks about it. This is when an employee tells him there are 2 types of cards, one that can be redeemed for cash, and one that can't.
4. He reads on CAG that the gift cards are back up.
5. 53 minutes later, he sees that the gift cards have actually changed name, and lets us know that he is concerned that they have now switched the cards to the type that cannot be redeemed for cash (which makes perfect sense, since it was being abused)

I personally don't really care because I never planned on getting the gift cards for cash. Just my 2 cents. It doesn't have to be such a harsh argument of intelligence... we can all chill here, right? :cold:

That's odd. Usually, if it's from LSC, it will give you a tracking number and if you scroll down a little on the email, it will tell you what has shipped. I've never received a tracking number without them telling me what was being shipped.

Is is a "confirmation number" or "tracking number", also the prizes that have shipped usually have a subject of "Live Search Club - Prize, whereas the order confirmation emails that they send out to let you know they've received your order say"Live Search Club Order Confirmation".

Last major overhaul was 7/16 which saw the addition of the Zune, Office, and the Powershot, and the removal of PGR3, Zune Premium Headphones, and the Zune (yes later the same day). Before that there a couple of prize changes on 7/5 and 7/8. So we are probably due for either some small changes at the begining of next week or possibly something more major towards the end of the week.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for the 360 however since they have a huge backlog from the last few rounds and the one they had up was the pro which is being discontinued and replaced in September. I hope I'm wrong though.

Rock Band has been fun, but the drum pedal broke. Apparently it's a very common problem. You can get a replacement, but the replacement is exactly the same kind and will break. I've read online from many people that have had several replacements. I've also read that the drums themselves and guitar are usually faulty. We have problems with ours. It is fun though...until the instruments start going out.

I was looking at that set. I have the wired version of that keyboard and it works pretty well. I don't really know much about that mouse though. I use a Microsoft trackball.

Rock Band has been fun, but the drum pedal broke. Apparently it's a very common problem. You can get a replacement, but the replacement is exactly the same kind and will break. I've read online from many people that have had several replacements. I've also read that the drums themselves and guitar are usually faulty. We have problems with ours. It is fun though...until the instruments start going out.
I don't really want Rock Band anyway, since I don't have enough friends to play it with. I was just gonna trade it in at Gamestop after fooling around with it for a couple weeks. Mind as well get something I could actually use (Looks pretty nice too, and mine is wired)

Nope, they sure weren't. The problem is, they know there are problems with the guitars, drums, and drum pedals but they're not making them better. They just keep sending out the same types as replacements and of course, they fail also. I've read posts from last year complaining about these instruments and they haven't done anything about it.

Ours broke before we got tired of it. It was nice because 4 of us could play at the same time. It does take up a lot of space though. I won't even play to get another one for free. It's not worth it.

It's so hard to say nowadays. Sometimes you might get something within 2 weeks of ordering and sometimes, 8 weeks will pass with nothing. I'm still waiting on things I ordered almost 9 weeks ago. With any luck, you'll get yours sooner.

I download a program called flashmute to turn off all my browser sound. I have to go into the setting to "Mute whole browser" to get it to work, but it allows me to play some music while I play any of the games.

Mine is also still the same. At this point, the scheduled delivery date will probably be rescheduled. Like I said, this has happened with every package I've received a shipping confirmation for since Arvato USA took over. I thought it was a problem with UPS so I called them. It means Arvato USA hasn't given them the package yet. My tote bag is supposed to be here in 2 days, but UPS hasn't received it yet. It is a feature specific to vista. I use to use vista premium until I realized my computer couldn't handle the upgrade, so I switch back to xp and I can no longer do it. One of the better features of vista IMO.

I can log in fine using firefox, opera, ie, and safari. Safari sometimes locks me out and I have to clear the cookies, cache, and history, but after I do that everything works fine. Try doing that and see if works or just switch browsers.

It seems I have the worst trouble with gray (pink/mint and gray), or oddly clashing colors (I think there was a pink and green one where the letters were almost warped flat). Please choose less color blinding colors if you're going to use CAPTCHAs.

I had a terrible time installing on my XP machine, but it was a piece of cake on my Vista system. Basically you plug the USB receiver in and turn on the controller, if it doesn't connect automatically (you know you are connected when the green X ring has one section, and only one section (usually the upper left one), lit up.

If it isn't lit up, press the button on the receiver for a few seconds until it starts blinking, then there's a little button on the back side of the controller, net to the left button above the left trigger button, hold that down for a few seconds. If it flashes a few times then just stops with no section lighting up, you have the same problem my XP machine has, which seems to be a system power draw problem.

For me, I fixed it by unplugging all of my USB devices except the receiver while the system started. I had a webcam and a printer I had to unplug to get it to actually work. Hopefully this helps.

My Rock Band and Intellimouse (ordered 7/12 and 7/17, respectively) were delivered yesterday! Didn't even get a shipping confirmation. Glad that I was home to sign for it.

At least you got to sign for it - UPS just left mine on my porch. Not that I care, since I got it, but had it not been there, I'd have been mad.

I ordered Rock Band on 7/21 and I was quite surprised to see a huge box on my desk at work after lunch today. It only took 9 days to ship the thing to me. I had my doubts about this site after they quit sending stuff, but damn.

They apparently shipped Rock Band from Louisville, Kentucky. I'm in Cincinnati, OH which explains why it made it here so fast.

My Zune came today! It's black and seems to work correctly. I also got my zune backpack, which is a lot bigger than I expected it to be.

LSC fixed the max limit problem. Once you reach 1000 points they notify you. Not like when you have to pass 1000 points. At least I think they fixed it.

Don't know but on the tracking page for my 360 controller, it states that signature is required.
