Jesus christ. According to a Gamespot article about the 360 warranty extension, that some retailes have concluded the 360 has a 1 in three failure rate based on returns.

They also have a poll but that can't be accurate. But I would think retailers would be in the know because it costs them money too to process returns and make replacements available.

Last interview I read with someone from MS the guy kept dodging the question. But I guess by repeatedly extending the warranty they've pretty much admit to it, though indirectly.
