What up guys? I recently bought some Ball Park Hot Dogs for a 4th of July cookout, and I noticed that on the package, there was a contest. It said that Ball Park was giving away one Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Game every single hour! So I thought to myself, why not enter! Seeing that they were only giving away one per hour, I waited until the wee hours of the night yesterday, and entered my code. BABOOM! I WON! I received an email later that night saying that I had won the Nintendo DS. How awesome is that? Now they just have to verify my address, and then they will ship it in 4-6 weeks. Woo-hoo! I cannot wait. Just thought you guys might be interested in this contest!

They are actually giving away about 1800 DS systems compared to about 800 DS games, so the chances of winning a system are in your favor. It is completely random other than that though.

I just found this thread via google cuz I was searching to see if this is BS or not. Leave it to our good ole CAG community to sniff out any video gaming deal/contest no matter how odd. I just entered a code from my ballpark package and got the same email as you OP, however it does say that I'm the "potential" winner of a DS. I entered my address like they asked but can't be sure if I really won or I've just made it through to another round or somethin'. If I really won, this is cool cuz i never win squat. We'll see.....crossing fingers.

Just to let you guys know, I went to my local flagship randalls and they had buy 1 get 1 free on most ballpark items. So you get two codes for 3.69. That includes Tax.

So if you want a DS and some food, try that out :P

are you kidding? have you ever read the labels on a hot dog package? I sometimes will pick up hebrew national franks because from what i understand the kosher foods are healthier. I am not jewish but that is my understanding.

If ball park made turkey franks, or vegan franks, that would be a bit more edible. I will check my supermarket next time i am there.

wtf are you kidding? so if i have a dozen codes, i can enter the 12 codes at 5pm, and then again at 6pm, and then again at 7pm, ad nauseam?!?!!?!??! oh man, the healthy living be damned, i am going to go pick up 10 ball park frank packages. Now that is some good shit.

I have to second that, i've haven't had Ball Park in years (dad hates 'em) though the Hebrew hot dogs are awesome. Another one to try out is Nathan's, I grilled one for lunch the other day and it was quite good. :)

I went ahead and called Sara Lee, and the woman on the phone said that they'd "put me on file" and told me to call back next week since the contest ends on September 7th. Has anyone else in here received a verification email, or did the DS/game just show up at your doorstep after a few weeks?

Also, my recent problem is not reciving ANY messages as if I lost or won during that period. 8/12/07 I did recive a "try again" type email message for the first and second time I tried it from prizes@ballparkprizes.com. With another hotdog pack's code and logging in with my email address, on my third and fourth try last friday (8/31/07) I got no messages of any sort from them what so ever.

And I don't remember inputing any information like my home address when registering(just name and email), and from the rules it sounds like they send you a link or something if you win to fillout & claim your prize regardless of your age.

So I have no clue if I won anything(doubt it) or not, and I swear it went through at their site & wasn't eaten by my boxes' spam filter... But I guess I will consider calling Tuesday.....

I went to the Sara Lee corporation's website, clicked on "Contact Us", and called the Meat department. I wasn't even put on hold, so I suggest just calling them up and seeing what they say. The woman on the phone was quite helpful, so you should be able to get some answers at least. The fact that you never got any emails from them is a problem, since you'll need to fill out the form in the winner message before they'll send anything. Hopefully they'll be able to figure out what's wrong.

Well that wasn't help much.... The person I spoke to said it takes 3-4 weeks, but I don't quite think they got that I got NO notification emails and that I have sent NO personal info/filled-out-forms(and registering a new account shows the only personal info they take is Name & eMail address).

Oh well, seeing as how tomarow is the last day, maybe I will try my luck again tonight and complain back to them if they complain about me entering more then once after wining....
