Strategy guide score at the used book store

The top 3 rows were $0.76 ea ($0.95 - 20% grand opening discount) while the bottom row of Pokemans were a little more pricey at $3.96 ea ($4.95 - 20%)

The 76-cent guides were near the used games while the Pokemon were in the generic "games" aisle, which is why the price difference.

As for the Kingdom Hearts and FF magazines, I just got them cos I like collecting mags with Square stuff on the cover (or any other franchises that I like).

Yeah, apparently Grandia is worth a decent bit but sucks as a strategy guide. Funny thing that.
I have a decent little collection going with PS1 RPG guides, but really I haven't added to that since then. No place seems to get such things in. My only option is ebay and that doesn't really work on getting em on the dirt cheap.

I know what you mean.... oh how I miss the days of $1.99 used guides at Gamestop. I really don't think I realized what a deal that was back in the day -- or maybe that's just the retrospective revision of knowing how hard it is to find old guides these days.

I miss those days too, Cranguy, though some GS brand stores still sell used guides. I know one of the ones I hit when I went to Gettysburg did, since they had a Gekido and an Armored Core 3 guide for the used price of around $1-2 each.

Of course, if you can find a store with used guides, the Edge card gets you 10% off them. :-D Mind you, that only amounts to like $.20 off a guide, but any amount to make it less than full price. LOL

I wish we had some Goodwill stores around here, but the closest one is about an hour away and where I found the Star Ocean Till The End of Time guide that I traded another CAG on here a while back.
